These are pretty amateur but well...

I can't see them! It's all just little squares with Xs! Hmm is this just me? I hope not, because I really want to see them! D:

When adding photos from a host site, be sure to use the direct link and put that in the [img] tags. I fixed it for you; the three last ones were a bit oversized, so I resized them for you as well.

The first one is pretty! I love your clarity and focus -- excellent focus here; I would take this down a few gamma points for color, because it's a little bright on the eyes. But it's a nice photo.

The next one is good as well. What kind of blossoms are these? They look so exotic and pretty. The focus is good, but because the leaves in the foreground are the same color as those in the back, our eyes don't easily recognize where to 'stop' looking, so our eyes easily wander over other parts of the photo. I would darken the back of this, but it's good.


The next is okay -- excellent clarity, decent focus. I think this would have been incredible if you had shown more of the peachy colored flowers rather than just the fruit with a clip of flowers -- it's good, just not entirely interesting.

The same goes for the last, though I love the color of the fruit. You must have a good camera -- do you mind if I ask what make and model you rock?

Not bad at all. Try some new angles and new subjects -- you certainly have potential.

Hello Pudin! These are all very good, and they most definitely are not amateurish.

First Photo: Good, but I think you should have focused a bit more on the stem, because right now it looks like a bunch of floating flowers and that isn't good. I also think that you should have blurred the flowers a little bit more, because a blurry background against really sharp flowers doesn't look very good.

Second Photo: Absolutely beautiful. I love how you got really colorful flowers against a black and white-like background. I think it would be amazing if you could use a photo-editing software to make the background black and white while keeping the flowers colorful.

Third Photo: Good, but I do think the berries are a little distracting, taking away from the thorn and branch feel of the rest of this photo.

Fourth Photo: Again, I'm not too fond of the berries, but if you must keep them in, I'd recommend taking the picture with a more direct angle.

First of all, where did you go on vacation because I seriously want to be there right now.

Second, your work is NOT amateurish, it's very good!
The flowers are beautiful, my favorite picture is the first one. I disagree with the comment that it's too bright, I absolutely love the brightness and the vibrant colors.

As for the other ones, they just don't have the same appeal for me, that vibrant color isn't really there but they are very nice just the same.

You should be really proud of these!

Hey Pudin! Here as requested.

Photo 1: Oh, this is beautiful! The flowers are a lovely colour and you've got the flowers really clearly. But there's a bright spot in the top left corner that slightly distracts me from the flowers.

Photo 2: Again, lovely colour and clarity. You do have a lovely way of photographing, Muff! But the background kind of detracts from the picture; it's all the same which just makes it sort of boring. Elinor's idea of changing the background to black and white was a really good one!

Photo 3: I think that, again, you've managed to get great clarity here, but the berries don't really seem that interesting. Like June said, the blossoms behind them should be shown more because they look really pretty.

Photo 4: I like these better than the third; I prefer the colour on the berries here! But I think it's a shame that the tops of the leaves are cut off, for some reason it just bugs me.

But these are really nice! You do have a nice talent for these, Pudin. Tell me when you post more, hey!

Hi, Pudin! I'm here to do a review!

Photo One: As Aqua mentioned the bright spot in the corner slightly distracts you from the main subject, thoe beautiful flowers.
Photo Two: This next one is good too, I would love to know what kind of flowers these are. So exotic-looking! As June said, I would darken the background if that was me, though. Nice capture, though.
Photo Three: It's okay. Not fabulous or fantastic...it's okay. Aqua and June mentioned that the berries would be more interesting if you had put some of those lovely blossoms behind them. They're right! This picture really just doesn't have interest for me as the other two did.
Photo Four: The same goes for this last one. I like this one slightly more, for the colouring of the berries. But...Aqua mentioned something; the leaves at the top being cut off sort of distracts me, and bothers me.

Pudin, these are great! Clarity and wonderful focus makes really good pictures. Tell me when you post more! I'd be happy to review once again.

Your photographs are well done. Especially in the first one, I like the way you've adjusted the focus. The background is really nice, colorful but not at all distracting.

Something you might want to try is repositioning your subjects so that they are not in the very center of the photo. In a lot of really spectacular photos (and paintings and drawings) the subject is closer to one side. One thing this does is helps keep it from being like a diagram in a textbook. Your photos are more than just something to help you remember what the flower looks like, they're artwork.

Flower photography is really, really common. That's not a bad thing on its own, it just means that for your particular photographs of flowers to stand out they have to be really different. Something about them has to separate them from the rest. You need to develop something personal and unique. Here are some ideas for you-- try the ones you like, and ignore the rest.

-Play around with a photo editing program. Experiment with changing the saturation, putting it in black and white, tinting parts of it, adjusting the focus and sharpness and anything else that the program has that looks fun.

-Try taking the pictures from angles you've never seen before. What does the flower look like from the bottom? Really close up? Upside down? Look for beauty in untraditional places.

-Change the size and shape of your photos. They don't all have to be the same size rectangle.

Hey Pudin! Thought I would give you my take on these photos you have posted...

1st: Hmm, I can't really decide whether I like this photo or not. What I do like is the colour of these flowers against the green background-- I think the contrast is really nice. However, there's nothing here that really catches my eye and I don't think the subject of the photo is in the right place. I can imagine that if you took a step back and experimented with different angles, the flowers in the middle would look a lot more eye catching. Also, parts of the background seem to be very bright and it distracts my eye from the flowers in the foreground.

2nd: Towards the centre of the picture, the colour of the flowers looks really washed out but I do think the you captured the subject a little better than you did in the previous photo, and the background isn't as distracting as before. Again, I think you should experiment with angles to get a better shot.

3rd: Now I really like how you haven't taken the photo face on, and even though the subject of the photo is a colour similar to that of the background (and blends in quite a bit), my eyes are immediately taken to it.

4th: Out of all the photos taken, this is the one I like the best. I think you have done really well here as the foreground is sharpened and stands out from the blurred background. I think you got the focus right in this picture. I also love the colour of the little bud things... Really nice!

Flowers I--This is beautiful! Everything looks awesome. No criticism on this one.

Flowers II--Wow. Absolutely wonderful, I'll say that!

Blossoms I--Someone is a majorly awesome photographer here! I think some of the closer leaves didn't have to be so blurry, but that's just me.

Blossoms II--Again, great job! However, like the previous pic, the background leaves are pretty blurry in my opinion.

These were some of the best amateur photos I've ever seen. Keep posting!

1. I like this one best out of the all. The bluriness in the background (usually) would take away from a photo, but it didn't in this picture. While I like this, flowers are a very common thing to photograph. Next time, try to mess with the angles of the camera...angle it to where it makes the photo more than just a picture of a flower. ;D (I like the color on the flower as well! Try messing with times of day to change it...experimenting improves photography ability.)

2. I like this, but it seems off-center. When you try to capture a single thing, it's best to center it. Also, the bluriness in this photo /does/ detract from the photo. The flower is a little dull...and has holes in it. (Which, that's just the flower...you can't help that. ) Anyway, I do like it, overall. Mess with light and bring the real beauty out in the flower.

3. I would like to have seen a frontal view of this blossom. I absolutely love the color of the *bulbs* themselves! Nice shot. ;D

4. This photo seems more rustic than the rest...I like it. However, in the picture you see hat the leaf if eaten a little. Maybe next time try to get one fully intact. (I'm not saying eaten leafs are bad...but, it takes away from the photo in this picture...Now, if there was a bug on that leaf, and it was your main forcus, it'd be great! Haha. )

These photos are definitely not ameteur! They are fantastic. I love taking pictures of nature and flowers. I have recently just bought a new camera because my old one broke, and it's just in time for spring too! I love the focus you have and the angles you shot from. You are using basic angles but really, I think that basic is good for nature because what is more basic than nature? (Sorry haha, I used the word basic alot) Just to let you know I am not calling your photos basic! They are beautiful!

oh jesus these are beautiful! You can really capture the moment! I love the first one the most... it's just so... happy, it made my heart flip when i saw it. my heart's a bit broken, so thanks for the amazing flip over!
