So when does this start? And would anybody join me in the Cliche fantasy storybook? It should be a few posts below this one. I have a cool character on there that is sort of trapped in time, no one else has posted in a while. I'm really bored right, and need a friend after having lost hours of work on my novel. oy! then you should join us on the Third wizard war SB. I usually post often and we've lost some people. We could use someone willing to write a lot. We've got like four empty character slots and also there's room for you to make your own if you want.

Shadow howled in pain, the brimstone floor gave him no rest, as there was no day, nor night. Horrific beasts roamed the endless expanse of fiery land. He was naked, just like everybody else. His piece of scrap metal was his only possession. He had used it to kill many people during his life time. Now it was only used to keep the giants at bay.

He heard a roar and that evil serpent, the dragon slithered by him. It's red scales shimmered in the undying embers of the flames of Hell. Shadow shook from both unbearable heat, and the evil allure given off by the dragon. The dragon was King down here.

Shadow had once read that it used to be a beautiful angel. Looking at it's flesh ripple and contract it was hard to imagine it ever being anything else.

Shadow was so grieve stricken. He had died alone. All his life he had killed, just to survive. He had waited for an escaped to his life, but it never came. At least not in the form that he wanted. Death and eternal damnation was not what he had been waiting for.

He had never cried in his life, but now he wished he could. But every time he did his tears turned to vapor the instant they made contact with the scorching air. Everything was hazy and distorted because of the heat that seemed to liquefy the air.

Shadow was tired, he had been standing up for how long? For eternity, that was the answer, and he'd still be standing, unless he wanted to see the burn of smoldering brimstone on his bare buttocks.

He closed his eyes as the dragon turned to face him. Fire belched from it's nostrils. It's fangs were covered in the blood of saints and martyrs.

Please, just go away. He felt the beast breath on his chest. He gritted his teeth as his flesh was scolded by the heat. He screamed with his mouth still closed as the pain reached his ribs.

And then he collapsed on his back on the brimstone floor. His screams echoed endlessly throughout the endless expanse of Hell. The laughter of demons mocked his pain.

Here, I'll give you a hand to start this thing. I'm going to assume Hazel just died and is waking up in hell.

--

Hazel

Hazel moaned and rolled over, hitting the ground. The last thing she remember was a sharp pain at her neck after being beaten by some boy. She lifted herself, her arms feeling weak. Pain buzzed in her head, shocks coming from her neck. She put her fingers to her neck, feeling a slit.

What the hell is this?

She pulled her fingers away, blood ran down the tips. Gasping, her hand flew back to her neck, only to feel a scar traced across her skin.

What in the world!

She looked up, a huge room with black marble arches that seemed to be crumbling. The rocky floor seemed to be steaming. Sprouts of gas burst out between boulders, sparks flying each time. A creature passed beside her, claws clicking against rocks, It's sleek head was a crimson the scales lifting around the haunches. Hazel screamed scrambling away from the dragon-like creature. It paused to look at her with cruel-looking black eyes, before grinning.

"Welcome to hell, hope you're eternity is miserable." hissed the dragon in a strange voice.

"What are you talking about?" responded Hazel, inching away from the dragon.

"You're dead you foolish girl. Quite gruesomely if I might add." the dragon seemed to sneer at her.

I'm dead... she thought miserably as the dragon strolled off. How can I be dead?

She threw her head up when a man's scream pierce above all the other sounds. She ran towards the scream, hoping for something, anything really. She found the man withering on the floor, his naked body streaked with soot and a scar etched on his face. He looked at her, surprised.

"Aghh! Son of a- Aghh!" Shadow said picking himself up off the fiery brimstone. He did not dare touch his back, for he knew his very flesh had been peeled. His palms were bleeding from having touched the ground. His feet were already burned down to the bone. But for how long could he hop up and down endlessly?

He looked at the girl who approached him. He had never seen a girl naked before.

From the look of things the girl had probably seen many guys naked through out her life time.

He asked the only question that came to his mind. "How did you end up here?" It came out in a hiss. A plume of smoke erupted from a hole to their right.

Hazel

"I'm dead, but I don't know." she responded delicately.

He jumped up and backed away from the erupting smoke. Hazel was now completely bewildered, she followed the man.

"What is this place exactly?" she said, eyes shiftly widely as if she was ready to run at any moment.

"I have read many books through out my life time," Shadow said, "for however short a time." His voice choked up. He bent over and coughed. The acrid stench of brimstone seemed to singe his lungs. He spat out a glob of black blood.

"I'm sorry mam," he apologized before coughing again.

The girl coughed to.

Shadow cleared his throat. "It was the Bible, and I don't remember exactly what the pace was called but, I know that we are in eternal damnation." He looked at the girl.

The girls eyes were blinking, vapor rising from around her eyes. She was crying, only her tears evaporated too quickly for them to slide down her cheeks.

He could tell that she was once a beautiful girl. Before the fires of Hell had distorted her, covering her skin in black surfer smears.

Hazel

She could feel her tears evaporating off her cheeks. She knew she was a bad person, but never believed in Hell.

"I can't believe I'm ... dead." she said, her voice cracking.

Her hands crawled to her neck, feeling the scar that remained there.

"I think I was killed." she said quietly, wiping at her face with a soot covered arm.

She look around some more, her teeth clenched.

"What's your name?" she asked.

Her question had struck a nerve that not even the fires of his surroundings had. "I... don't know," he said. "I was raised in an orphanage, they only gave us numbers, mine was six hundred and sixty six."

The girl said nothing.

"What's yours? I've always wanted to hear someones name. Just like I always wanted to have one of... my own." His body shook with spasms of turmoil.

Hazel

She stared at the man in front of her in surprise. His eyes were tormented beneath his shaggy black hair and thick black eyebrows. Dust streaked his face as he looked down.

"I'm Hazel." she said quietly.

She paused before looking back at the taller man, realizing he appeared younger then her.

He nodded. "Like the shadow I am, stalking the night I called myself Shadow," he said. He looked at the girl. "Hazel," he said purposely extending every syllable. "That is a beautiful name. For beautiful girl."

The girl cheeks flushed a barely noticeable redder. They were already scorched by the heat.

We are literally being cooked alive.

**Wow. You guys took over, didn't you?**
Llama 1:"Shh! Do you hear that? That's the sound of forgiveness."
Llama 2:"That's the sound of people drowning, Carl!"
Llama 1:"That is what forgiveness sounds like; screaming and then silence."

Hazel

Hazel flushed at the comment Shadow made.

"Thanks." she said.

She bit her lips before walking over to the wall. She tapped it with her fingers against the wall lightly, when she did that wall began to buzz and sizzle.

"What are you doing?" asked Shadow.

Seeing if there is some sort of secret door, she thought to herself grimly. The rocks seemed very real to her. The tips of her fingers were burned red.

"Just looking at what type of wall this is, but it burned me." she said, nose scrunching.

"Everything here burns." he responded.

"There has to be some place that is generally cooler." she said, wiping her face again.
