I found this site at the beginning of the summer, and I didn't really know what to expect, you know stories and everything but I never suspected that I would find so many awesome, funny, smart, creative people here and have so many of them be my friends!

YWS has taught me so many things that I find not only have my stories improoved but so has my attitude and confidence. Before I was scared to show anyone my writings and now I show whatever I can whenever I can, as well as (since that little confidence boost previously mentioned) I've built up the courage to try out for things like drama club and the talent show at my school, and I owe it to everyone here on YWS and my friends.

This site helped me through some major tough spots in my life and I've found that I can find comfort in any story here because I know it came from someone my age or close to my age. I wanna thank people like Pudin, Gsp, Lucinda, Nutty, Kamera, anyone whos ever reviewed me, Twiz, and Meganilo for being awesome and halarious! And Nate of course! To me, and my friends, you are a God for making this site!

Haha thats all I got for the moment, and I'm looking forward to another year on YWS!

So, I found YWS on July 21 and I've never stopped using it and I wish I never do. YWS has done a lot for me> it has given me friends, helped me inprove my writing, even helped me through all those difficult days of my life that I think are endless but they actually come to an end, thanks to YWS.

I never thought I was going to find friends here, but I did and I thanks them all for being there to cheer me up or help me with incredible reviews or conversations.

And the best thing is that it has helped me with my writing because it pretty mcuh sucked before I came here lol. I remember not capitalizing the I's and not caring about punctuation or using chatspeak whenever I wanted (I'm a spelling and grammar freak now). And I also thank that it has given me the opportunity to help others now.

Now, I'd like to thank a bunch of people and i hope I don't forget who.lol.
Foxfire> Awesome friend and I will always be thankful with him for being my friend

*writewatiwant*> Awesome person, friend, writer. I wil always be grateful with her because she has helped me in many wyas not only in writing

JustDance> Incredibly funny and cool, cool person to talk to.

Kamas> For being there when I needed and not caring when I loaded her inbox

AquaMarine> For being her. for being cool and helping me and talking to me when I needed it.

Silented1.> For being him too, and helping me and being there when I needed someone. And for being fun too.Oh and finally letting us see a smile from him.

Bondgirl007>For being cool and redhaired, I absolutely love your red hair.

Crocky> For being literally the first person who talked to me in chat and she's awesome.

Forestqueen808> Because we have so much in common and we didn't even know it.

Irishfire> Uber cool and bearing with me in the storybook, and loving the characters as much as I do and for being an awesome friend.

Wookielover> she's gone but for being cool and finally being someone that likes Twilight around here

Jabberhut> Because she has given me the most awesome nickname.

Elinor> For helping me so much with her awesome reviews and comments.

June> for being helpful and always so nice and talented.

Demeter> For being her because she's cool and pretty and funny and awesome to tlak ot in chat

Ellyphant>Even though she's not around here as much as she used to, but she was really cool and one of my first friends here

Mira> because she's cool and fun and knows how to make chat fun with her awesome conversations.

Adnamarine> Because she;s incredibly helpful and is always there.,

Jon> He's awesome, we can't deny he's awesome.

Whiteshadow>Also, gone for a while, but she was cool and super nice.

Mo.> she's new but she's so nice and awesome.

And actually a lot of other people that has helped me here and I love so very much, but the names are endless and the list would be too long so...
But I will always be grateful to Nate because he's awesome from here to the moon. Why? because he created this place.

Basically I'm still a newbie here, but I've got to say that this site is so freaking awesome! *In fact, the bestest I've ever found so far (I've gone through quite a few that sucked badly).

And sincere thankyous to those who have reviewed my three and only works. Receiving opinions from you guys did help.

Also, thanks to those who submitted their works. I've had a good time reading them.

So, YWS, I adore thee in oh so many ways. Ever since I first came here, back in April of 2008, I have found myself falling more and more in love with it. It has helped me in so many ways with my writing, and I have made many new friends. From JFW1415, the first person to really look at my work and help me with it, to Writersdomain, AmyCx, and Jennafina, the three newest friends I have made, you all are completely awesome. And, anyone that I have known from then till now, consider yourselves mentioned here, for there are too many of you for me to go through and name individually. Each and every one of you has made an impact on me, from my writing to the way in which I live. I thank you all. :)

Yo YWS

A year ago, I stumbled upon you, only to find myself still stuck here.

Drugs are addictive. You are much more than a drug.

Must tear myself away...

Don't surrender...

Don't surrender...

Don't surrender...

Surrender.

I prostrate myself before you, YWS. Never shall I escape you.

Forever, shall you hold a place in my heart.

The best thing that's happened to me while being under control of YWS are the numerous times I've made a new friend. I mean, the writing is great. The reviewing is great. The helping others is great. The connecting with other writers is great.

But it wouldn't be half so great without the people. What makes YWS clearly the best writing site there is, having visited no others for comparison, is the spirit and the personalities. Before I'm starting to get sentimental, a few greetings, if you will:

To Becks: *prowls*
To Kylan: *licks*
To Blinky: *globbles*
To Stella: *connects*
To Adna: *glomps*
To Mars: *wraps*
To Nate: *bows*
To everyone else: *high fives*

*

Have a nice summer!

When I googles Young Writers, heaps of things came up. YWS was the second or third thing, and at first, I have no idea why, but I avoided the link. I went to five other sites, and played on each for over an hour, before finally giving in and clicking on this link.

I can't believe I avoided it! I have no idea why I would do such a thing! Why would someone deny themselves such an awesome oppurtunity? I don't know. But I do know that in the short time I have been a member of YWS, I have grown more as a writer, than I have in my previous year at school! It's amazing how many people I've met, and how I have changed as a person since I've beem here.

Thankyou to everyone on YWS, whether your contribution has been big or small, it's made a diference, and I'd like everyone to know how awesome you guys all are!

Thanks YWS! You're so awesome!

(:

My third year on YWS! It's kind of cool knowing I've been around so long, and it's neat watching everyone grow up and improve in both writing and character. It makes my heart tingle with happiness to have made new friends, meet the next generation of YWSers, and to have seen older members take their potential leave. So much has happened! (We will have to go through Linx's blog for those YWS news and remember the good times in 2009.)

2009 was the year I've seen YWS in an entirely different light, and as I've already mentioned, it makes my heart squee with joy. We've been through so many tough times, but we made it through five years. I'm determined to help it to year six. 2010 will be the year I make my mark on YWS.

Only one shout-out will be made: Nate. You've seriously inspired me in more ways than I could begin count. You're also quite the prankster. Overall, you're someone I admittedly admire and I thank you for helping and supporting me all this time. I look forward to being by your side and helping out where I can in return during the future of YWS.

Everyone else, if you know me, then you know I love you with all my heart. Each individual on this site, whether I know them by username or not, has played such an important role in my life as well as the site itself. If I shouted out to all my friends here, someone would report my post for stretching the page. Just know that I love you all and look forward to spending another year with you. <3.14

Keep writing!

Jabber, the One and Only!

EDIT: Also an amusing memory of 2009 is Snoink's yearbook entry. Totally missed me on the list of people who submitted. Love you always, Snoink!

Ha! yes! I made...35th place? No...whatever.
Anyways, I found YWS through a Google search: 'Young', 'Writers', and 'Site', and came up with this. At first the read-review ratio confused me, but I'm pretty much comfortable with it now. If I knew any real-life writers, I'd definitely point them to YWS.
Awesome site!

Hello! *waves* YWS is a part of me, now. I found this place a year and month ago, and I've fallen for it. My writing... oh gee, I didn't use to capitalize I's and had no clue of punctuation, which is a shame to me now. I've grown, as a person and as an aspiring writer, mainly due to YWS.

I have found friends here! Of all the places, here ^.^ I'm not going to mention names, or I'd be going forever and I'd have to edit a lot, because I'd always forget about someone. I just wanted to shout out to one of my closest friends with which I've lost connection since she left YWS: Musicloo I <3 you!

Anyway, I'll never leave this. I have done three essays on my future career, and all three said I'd be in this forever. So, I love YWS. Period.

Thank you for all and all,
Kat.

Sorry for my ramblyness here, guys.

I'm coming up to my sixth month mark on YWS; it's not a long time in the scale of things but it's been amazing. When I first came here, I guess I was just a typical n00b: Annoying, lost, confused, and convinced that I would never, ever be able to be or write like some of the people that I saw on here. I joined YWS when it was flourishing and popular, and I thought that it was one of the most amazing sites I'd ever seen.

I never had a dream to become a writer. Ever. I wanted to be a dustbin man (oo-er) or a travelling artist (y'know, travel the world with just an easel, paints, and a blue VW camper van). Sure, I used to write the occasional (and very depressing) poem, but it wasn't something that I ever thought I'd do something with. And then, one day, I decided that it might be a good idea to see what people thought of a poem that I'd just written. As so I searched "Young Writers" on Google. It gave me YWS. So thank you, Google.

Without YWS, I would've never stretched so far as to actually attempt NaNo. And without the people on YWS, I would've never written 50,050 words in 29 days. Without YWS, I wouldn't have written my first short story, and I wouldn't have then realised that I absolutely love writing them. YWS has given my something that I never thought I could have, and it's made me enjoy something that I never thought I'd enjoy as much as I do now.

You have all been so amazing and wonderful. Some of you have just said a kind work, some of you have given me an amazing critique, some of you have become my friends, and most of you have made me smile. So thank you, all of you, for anything and everything that you've done for me. Although I would like to thank Nate for actually creating the site, and for making YWS this happy community that I see help people every day.

I know that I'm still technically a newbie. But I think - fingers crossed! - that I'll stay on YWS for a very long time. It's been great, guys, and I hope that it'll get even better. Thank you all so much.

Hello, guys! I remember when I was posting my 'Elemental Dragons' (which was unfinished) years ago. I forgot when, though (lol!). Now, I promised myself I'm gonna finish 'The Inch' even if the chapters were not written continuously. Happy Year 2009 everyone! lol! It's almost the end of the year!

Ah-ha, the yearbook! *cackles*

/me would like to make some shoutouts:

cat4prowl: Keep writing.

Sachiko: Hope to talk to you again soon.

Think: Hope you enjoy the site, and please let me know when you post something.

You walk into this room at your own risk, because it leads to the future, not a future that will be but one that might be. This is not a new world, it is simply an extension of what began in the old one. It has patterned itself after every dictator who has ever planted the ripping imprint of a boot on the pages of history since the beginning of time. It has refinements, technological advances, and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the super states that preceded it, it has one iron rule: logic is an enemy and truth is a menace.
— Rod Serling
