Well basically I'm Katie and from Essex in England (it will never be Britain to me )

I recently turned 17 and am in Year 12 at college studying English Literature, History, Geography and Philosophy - I love them all but especially English (I've always loved books) and Phil (I've also always loved a bit of an argument ... I mean debate )

I'm not actually that hard to get along with and do have quite a few friends although I have no idea why ...

Chronically single ... enough said.

I go to a grammar school (I stayed on at the Sixth Form there)but have no idea how I got there or how anyone hasn't noticed that I'm not smart enough ... I've been blagging my way along the school for 5 whole years now ... getting good grades with having no idea how I got them. It's also all girls which may explain the above point.

My surname is not Dutch, or Chinese as has been suggested it is English ... just fairly rare. Microsoft Word, HSBC and many other organisations think I do not know how to spell my own surname. I do.

Hobbies include reading, writing (obvs), listening to music (anything really though nothing too 'screamy'), dancing (not well), going out with friends, shopping, facebook and the rest. Exercise, any form of sport, science, maths and engineering I do not like. Most probably because I am rubbish at them.

Physically I'm female (for the slower ones amongst you or those who did not realise Katie is a girl's name), 5"7 so can't wear heels fairly slim with boring blond/brown hair that I can't wait to change and blue eyes.

I just have a question. What do you mean by the Sixth Form? I've read something like that before.

Philosophy is so awesome, I'm with you in the debates! And English, well, my saving grace for that was highschool; my teacher was fantastic!

I'm with you on Word. My first name is rather unusual, and I always get a red line under it. But we're just special like that.

lol If I wear my heels I'm about your hight (I'm 5'5") But who says tall girls can't wear heels? My dad knew a girl who was 6' and wore four-inch heels.
