I love it! You are an amazing writer!
I hope to read more of your writings!
My favorite line would have to be: I may have a friend who will leave me...Never.
Its so dramatic and has an amazing affect on the reader!
Keep going! And good luck!
Always-
Krista

Hi.
I think it's interesting that someone might run away from home on a highway, but you speak of running away from the highway of life. I don't know if that was intentional, but I like it.

I also like that there was someone holding back, figuratively. In my experience, this is something that does happen. I remember feeling just awful, but then I thought about someone special and I knew I couldn't do it.

I do have one problem, though. You used "you" in two ways. You use it to talk to the reader ("You can love or hate me") and to mean a specific person ("but things aren't so bad when you're here"). Although I understood the poem, I think it may add a little bit of confusion. I'm not even sure you need to say, "Love or hate me, its for you to choose". If you remove that, I think the poem will be perfect.

I also like the idea from running off the highway of life; though I don't like the last bit about the friend referred to as you. As I see this as sort of a metaphor about suicide, I think you should expand on the imagery a little. Talk about the highway, the cars or people that pass by, and find a different way to end it. I find the reference to a single "you" a little annoying in this piece. I know it sounds like I don't like it but I do, I just think that the first part was fantastically better than the second.
Hugs and keep writing,

Hey there!

My favourite line would actually be the one referring to gravity. It's a nice image, there, and one that I really like.

I think it would be really cool if you talked more about the highway. Bring the poem out of its shell and look around the setting. Use some imagery. Bring it all to life, eh!

This is beautiful. I love how halfway through it you start ranting on 'all from's. You are a poet, that's for sure.

I would very much like to know who you are addressing with this poem. You don't make in entirely clear. Is it your mother? A kid from school? An imaginary friend? Please always make your narration clear of who you are speaking to.

Keep writing, you should.

Very nice. :) I like it.
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened...
Before. ---Dare you to move by, Switchfoot---

I enjoyed the way you compared life to walking along a highway, I do have a few little nitpicks though.

But just know that nothings of good cheer
I believe it would be "Nothing's" because it's a conjunction of nothing is.
I was going to run...
I was going to run from this highway.
I didn't like how this repeated twice. I think
I was going to run...
run from this highway.
sounds a little better.

Good job I like it, so keep writing :D.

I like it. I enjoyed the movement from alone to someone being with you. Also, thank you for not trying to rhyme.
Friends and family, yes, they are here,
but so is gravity that causes me to stumble in despair.
All from my own faults,
all from my own mistakes,
all from what I let my mouth mumble.

Those were my favorite lines. I liked how they kept togeather and gave thoughts as well as progess through the poem.Good job.

Good luck, keep writing.
