We stomp upon the roads of Glory
The roads that once had told a story
About soldiers who gave thier life
An honorable sacrafice

I Bet the part of your soul
That you have not given up for gold
diamonds, riches, wealth, and sex
That when this story is done and told

I will have pronounced your role
In this world of sickness
Despise the goals that we will
do anything to over come

We want to be rich
So we rob our friends
We want to be wealthy
So we do it again

We have sex
Because we want to be cool
We want to be famous
So we become Prostitutes

We want to be loved
So we cry TV
Then we kill ourselves for love
Because we are greedy

We want to be funny
So we can be cool
We want to be hilarious
So we shoot up the school

We feel hated
We want to be prom king
That will never happen
So we jump of the building

This just a taste
Of what is to come
So love to you all
For now I am done...
"My only regret is that I didn't learn the value of life sooner"

WOW!!! I certainly was awed by this! Amazing rhythm you got there. Even thought the pacing was slow at start, you nailed it just right down to the last line.

We stomp upon the roads of Glory
The roads that once had told a story
About soldiers who gave thier life
An honorable sacrafice

Spelling mistakes (sacrifice and their. Also, would you mind interpreting this stanza? Please! :D

I will have pronounced your role
In this world of sickness
Despise the goals that we will
do anything to over come

I found this part hard to match with the rest of the poem.

Overall:

I really like the fact that you can relate this poem to High School life. It also tells about how we are willing to inflict pain on ourselves to feel that hint of heaven we all crave for.

I specially love the ending.

Aside from a view spelling errors and that slow paced start, this is a must read.
