Hi there folks!

I'm a 14 year old girl and I'm in Year 9... I've been writing for a few years now, but none of them really got off the ground if you see what I mean.. =D I'm working on a story at the moment which is going rather well, but I hope I'm not speaking to soon.

I don't really want to put anyone out but I can be a little over the top! I'm also rather random too.. =P I love reading, photography, chatting and listening to music. Mostly I'll wear jeans, a t-shirt, a hoodie and ugg boots or converses. My favourite music is Taylor Swift, Oliver Tompsett, Jordin Sparks, and tons of other stuff but I can't be bothered to put it here.

I love languages too, at school I'm doing Spanish, German, Latin and (of course) English. To be honest I can't think of anything else to say... anyways, see you round!

Hey Stray (that just totally rhymed!), and welcome to the crazy little place called YWS! I'm Selene *shakes hand* and it's nice to meet you!

I'm also fourteen and I guess I'm in Year Nine, too, or Freshman year as they call it where I'm from. ^_^ Oh, and welcome to the randomness club! Everything would be boring if someone didn't work a bit of random into their day. xD

So onto our lovely set of rules!

~Please review three pieces of work here on YWS before posting your own. This also goes for every piece you submit and is referred to as the 3:1 ratio. Trust me, it's not that hard. I'm sure you'll have it done in no time! :D

~Please don't use improper grammar, spelling or punctuation. Also, no CAPs or chat-speak. That means no tkn lyk dis and ABSOLUTELY NO TALKING LIKE THIS IT'S REALLY ANNOYING!! ANNOYING YET? YEAH I THOUGHT SO. Haha, but there are a few exceptions like the classic lol and writing abbreviations like POV and MC.

~Please rate your work accordingly for the sake of your readers. We don't want any 10 year olds stumbling across a vulgar scene because someone forgot to rate their work. The ratings are E for everyone (sound familiar?), 12+, 15+ and 18+.

So now getting to know you...

Have a pet? Pets?

What inspires you the most?

What genre do you prefer reading and/or writing?

What's a good book you've read recently?

Favorite food?

Okay, so I'll try not to suffocate you with my greeter powers. Hehe. :) Have fun here!

If you have a question or want a friend feel free to PM me!

~Selene

Hey there StrayRebel!

Welcome to YWS! I'm WD, lovely to meet you. I am so glad to hear that your novel is going well and I'm thrilled to see another novelist on YWS. What kind of genre is your novel? German and Latin? That is awesome. I'm taking Latin. Again, welcome! If you have any questions or just want to talk, feel free to PM me!

Thanks Selene and Writersdomain. Oh and just for the record you can call me Chiz :D

Anyway, no, unfortunately I have no pets. I had some fish a couple of years ago but they all killed each other off. :( I love reading action, adventure, some romance, fantasy types of books and two of my most recent favourite series are: The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness by Michelle Paver and The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins.

At the moment the story I'm working on is a mixture of romance, betrayal, adventure, journeys all that kind of stuff. It's set just after the stone age in a place that is based on South Africa. The characters in it are based loosely on some of my friends at school and the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness gave me the inspiration to write it. It's not very long at the moment and the last time I added to it, it was last week, I think...

Aw, sorry about your fish. :(

Oh, but I love the Hunger Games, as well, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next book. And I've never heard of the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness. What's it about?

The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness are set during the stone age. The first book is Wolf Brother... You may have seen it. =) It's about this boy, Torak, who has to make his own life after his father was killed. It's basically about an adventure story and it's a real page turner (the sixth one, Ghost Hunter, just came out and is my favourite book ever!)

Have you read the second Hunger Games? Catching Fire? I think the 3rd is going to be called The Victors or something like that...

Ooo! I'll have to look into reading that, because it sounds fascinating. I like a story with a unique setting. :)

Oh, and I finished Catching Fire and loved it! I don't know what the title is, but I'll be looking out for that, too!

Hey there Rebel! =)
My name is JustDance but feel free to call me JD.
First let's get the rules (that most of us have already mentioned below) down.
Shall we?

☺ Here at YWS we do the whole give and take. Before posting any work of yours to be reviewed by the lovely members of YWS we would like you to do them a favor. Please review at least 3 pieces of work for every work you submit. Hence it is called the 3:1 ratio. Reviews really aren't that difficult. Go through it and tell the author what you liked, what they could improve on, and any basic nitpicks you found such as spelling or grammar.

☺ Rate your work just like movies. If it has any mature scences, excessive violence or language then it'll need to be rated. Members of YWS are of different age groups and persona so they might not like something.

☺ This is a writing site hence we prefer to use proper grammar, no chat speak, and appropriate use of caps. SEE, IF I TALK TO YOU LIKE THIS AND USE A LOT OF EXPLANATION MARKS!!! it seems like I am yelling at you, right? We don't want people to think that though, now do we? Same goes in the YWS chat rooms. Although it is a chat room, this is a writing site. Please don't use abbreviations such as "u" for "you" or "4" for "for".

☺ Have fun, make new friends, and improve in your writing! Probably the most important rule there is.

So, anyways back to chatting ;)
Well, I hope YWS will inspire you to go through with your writing and post some of your amazing works I'm sure you have saved in that mind of yours!
As far as randomness goes, eh. Don't worry about it. Here at YWS we're a crazy bunch, haha.
I think we'll get along very good. We seem to share the same interests, and dress sense :)
Great minds think alike..
Wow, that is a lot of languages! Must be overwhelming, no?
Well, hit me up through PM anytime if you have any questions or just need anyone to talk to.
See my signature? The PM one? Yeah, it's true haha. So don't hesitate to PM me.
Good luck and enjoy YWS!
-JD
