I'm not sure of the percentage of Christian readers on here, but thought I'd see what people's reactions to this is, anyway.

Hey Starlit,

The photo's huge! A bit too huge to fully appreciate, but I like the angle. I think that to make this even better, you can use a photo editing program to blur out everything except the words you want us to read, and contrast it to make it more eyepopping. In addition, you could colorize it to make it more interesting than black and white. :)

Keep up the good work,

June

Very, very nice.

As June mostly covered all of the points that required covering, I'll keep this fairly short.

1). I'm a sucker for angles, and this one is absolutely lovely.

2). What are we supposed to focus on? To my view there are three available things: the hand, the ring, and the words. Are we supposed to take in all three, or just one particular area? As June suggested, maybe use a photo editing program (Photoshop, or if that's unavailable, GIMP, which is a free download program! =D) to blur out what isn't necessary.

3). While I like black and white as much as the next person, maybe adding a little bit of color wouldn't hurt? Maybe the fingernails, for example.

All in all, I still like this an awful lot. =) Very interesting concept. Just keep practicing!

Hi Starlit!

I love this photo a lot and I'm not really sure as to what the words are supposed to refer to (being a Hindu) but I think as a whole, the concept and the photo look good.
So, nitpicking it:

1.I agree with the colorization but as Sachiko said, you should only colour the fingernails or the stone in the ring and add a sparkle to it. (Try to get photoshop, or use GIMP)
2.The photo's actually quite blurred, try better focusing next time.
3.The angle is really good, but the lighting angle isn't. It would be better if the intensity at the bottom left is reduced.
4.This is not really a big thing, but something that sort of pricks me. It's the position which make sit look like one of those optical illusion things. In one angle it looks like it's been placed upright on the book, but in another angle, it looks like it rests horizontally. (Or maybe it's my crazy mind seeing things.)

Also, I love the positions of the fingers! Keep practicing!

This is really good. I'm a sucker for black and white photos.

Review time:

1. Like everyone else said, it needs a little color.
2. Like lavabubblingout, I don't know what the words are suppose to refer to. If you could clarify, that would be great. :D

Hello, I am AspiringAuthorA..M. and shall be your reviewer for tonight.
As mentioned before the photo is considerable immense. Yes, having to navigate just to get the entire picture is a chore, making it harder to appreciate your work.

Now, as far as the picture goes, it is quite blurry. And, are those your hands at the bottom? They are quite distracting in your shot. But otherwise, not a half bad odd photo. And, I'm a big fan of the odd.

So, I give you a :smt023

Hey there!

I think you need to reduce this before I can review it because from what I make out, it's blurry. As much as this can also be advantageous in photography it looks more of a messy experimental vomit. I don't mean to be harsh but there's no real focus and without the focus there's no captivation. Its a hard one. I think the angle is beautiful and original as far as some pieces go, but you need that focus, expecially for a close up of books. It's one of those things. Have a play with it on Photoshop or something and see if you can create any more originalities that put this in an all new league.

Good photography, but keep practising.
Ben :)
