Ok, so if you live in the UK you'll probably know about children in need. It's awesome, we all know that.
If you don't then this is their website http://www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey/
Anyhoo, I don't know if anyone on YWS knows this, but there's this awesome thing going on for the charity on youtube. Basically, four famous youtubers (charlieissocoollike, nerimon, johnnydurham and jimmy0100) created a youtube thing called "ChartJackers".
Their aim was to use the people on youtube to write lyrics to a song, find a melody for the song, sing the song, produce the song and ultimately buy the song. They did all this through video auditions, comments and publicity through youtube videos. I've been following it from the beginning (win) and it's been really awesome.
So, they now have a song called "I've Got Nothing" which has been entirely made by youtubers. They want to get the song to No. 1 in the charts (hence the name) and all the profits from sales is going to children in need.
Personally, I think that this is a wonderful idea and is a really great, fun way to raise a load of money for a really deserving charity.
And basically, this blog entry is a plug. The song is available on Itunes tomorrow, it'll cost about 69p and literally NO money is going to anyone who made it. The whole thing has been through volunteers, and it's really all going to charity.
Anyone over the world can buy the song, so I really do urge you to. Obviously, if you can't then it's no big deal but it's just such a wonderful idea that I though I'd at least tell people about it.
If you are in England, it would be doubly awesome if you bought it! Because, if you buy it and you're from the UK then you'll help it get into the charts which will equal more money and a really great finish for the whole thing.
So, yeah. Just wanted to share this with you all!
