Pics from my photography class

These are some pictures I've been taking for photogrpahy class.. I might use one for a bok cover. Tell me what you think


(I don't like how I got the power lines in this one >.<)

Hi.
My first impression was, "Wow." The fence draws me in, but it is probably been shot by other people as well. I do like that the metal is rusting right up in the segment closest to me. That makes a statement, I think.

The bridge is very common. I would have liked to see some water with it. Maybe shooting through the rails, so you get both the bridge and the creek.

The creek itself is not a bad shot, but I don't like that there is a sapling on the left. It seems more intrusive than the other one.

I actually didn't notice the power lines in the next picture. However, it is very dark. Photo editing will fix that, though.

This last one, I could see as a book cover. Title up in the sky, author in the road.

The first of these photos is fantastic. The focus is great, the color is great--everything is perfect!

The others are okay. Certainly aren't bad, just aren't amazing either. They seem to need more color or different angles or something. The last photo is a great angle, it just needs to *POP* more than it does!

Keep learning! Photography is a fantastic hobby OR career!

Do, please, post your other work. I'd love to see it.

Numero one - Decent. That blurred out part in the corner is a distraction, and I would say to crop it down a bit, but it's okay. I like it, though, and a bit of contrasting to bring out the difference between the gate and the trees would be excellent. Other wise, good shot; reminds me of parks in Queens, NY.

Numero Two - I like this pathway! The rails do a good job drawing our eyes to the trees, and though there's no actual superb point of interest, it's a good shot. Again, contrasting could help some, but this is good.

Number three - Eh, I don't like this one too much. The post of the lamp is a bit on an angle in this shot, and that's kind of a distraction. I think the leaves should have been out of focus as well, because leaves are "a million tiny distractions". The powerlines aren't so bad, but with the lamppost off skew, they distract more than they should.

Number four - I like this. What's the thing in the sky? This almost looks magical in a way, and appears as if we're peering over a hill.

My favorite is the second picture. I'd love to see more of your work.

First of all, these are interesting shots.
A bit more creative with the perspectives. Good job.

First one:I like the rusty fence and the clarity. I mean there's really nothing getting in the way of this picture, like a person or a duck or something like that.
I just wish there was more color in here, I think it could give this picture more life. Maybe, you could play with that in some type of photo editing software, like photoshop.

Second one: This one is my favorite. I feel as if it has more emotion in here, I would definitely use this as a book cover. =]

Third One: This is my least favorite, I mean it seems like a blur of rocks and sticks. Really not that interesting.

Fourth one: Okay I agree, I dislike the power lines in here too but don't you think it makes the picture feel more homey? Just like a regular neighborhood. I like that.
And what's that in the sky? It's distracting. I was like, no way, a UFO!

Thank you I'm debating between the one of the bridge, and the one of the street for a book cover, but first I need to find a quality editing program that'll do what I want. And honestly, I have NO idea what's in the sky in the 5th one xD...I think it's an airplane. Haha

Hey, sorry to comment again on the thread when it's not a review.

Try photo filtre. Available for download here ( http://photofiltre.free.fr/ ), photo filtre is a basic photo editing program that enables you to edit photos excellently, depending on your skill level. It's a lot less complicated than photoshop, but not as basic as paint or whatever else, haha.

Also virus free. I referred it to gsppcrocks10, and so far, I don't think she's had any problems.
