- PLZ FOR THE LOVE OF GOD READ IT, AND THEN RIP IT APART, I NEED FEEDBACK GUYS-

The air outside nips at my neck it was pretty cold. I love October it’s probably my favourite month, because it’s cold but not too cold. I live in a decent enough neighbourhood; when my father died we claimed small fortune in dowry. So my family quickly packed up and moved far away, now we live in a much safer neighbourhood.

The houses were nice and clean cut; we lived in a three story house, with a large window in almost every room. If you stand outside and stare on our front lawn you’ll come to find that they look like a pair of eyes staring back. I live on the corner of a busy street; the mall lay down it, unfolding into view as you walk past my fence. The walk was pretty quick.

I was feeling pretty happy when I reached the food court; it’s just one of those things. When I’m with friends I’m with friends I’m always happy, pretty much opposite when I’m alone with my thoughts. The escalator I’d been riding came to an end. I found myself surrounded with leagues of golden brown tables, and cushiony tables. Why is it that in ever mall there’s like 20 Chinese food places, and only 5 regular food stores? I spotted my friends over by the Timmy’s. A smile broke across my face I looked my lanky Asian best friend up and down apparently he felt like wearing a pink holster shirt, and black tight pants (at least it a step up from one of his many American eagle outfits he usually wore). His black shaped fohawk slunk down his face as he blew into his cappuccino.

Dominic sat next to him, his muscular figure over shadowed Andrew in comparison; he wore his traditional shorts, and white t-shirt. His short blond hair still seemed damp he must have soaked his hair after his daily run through the cemetery (His house is surrounded by a graveyard creped out? Try jogging through it).

They spotted me and waved to come over, I made my way across the floor, and propped myself down in a chair, to say “Hey Dom, Andrew”.

With a smirk Dominic replied “hey Dante, What movie do you want to get Zombie Land or gamer”?

Tough choice: ones suppose to be as action pact as 300, and the others supposed to be hilarious. “Well Gerald Butler is pretty awesome; But Zombie Land has Emma Watson and she’s is so hot. I think my choice is pretty obvious”. (this sentence will be changed I can't fix it at the moment)

“So... Zombie Land”, Dominic smiled menacingly.

I answered “Yah sure”. My eyebrow arched, very much confused

“Shit”! Andrew cried out. He glared a Dom for a second, and then proceeded to hand him a scrunched up 20 dollar bill.

“What, the heck? I ask

“Oh, Andrew and I made a bet to see what movie you’d pick, guess who won” Dom chirps happily

He’s my best friend and all but wow, Andrews defiantly got a nack for making some of the worst bets, “Andrew you’re so stupid, didn’t you just lose like 30 bucks to your cousin a week ago”. I say

“Hey I bet her she couldn’t use her phone for a week, how was I supposed to know she could pull it off she was literally glued to the thing before” He said in a highly appalled voice, but with a smile played at his lips

“How do you still have money that you can throw away so carelessly”? I asked.
The smile slipped from his face. He looked to me slyly and said “While, someone else is coming with us today”.

“Who...”? I begin to ask; when a high pitched squawky voice calls out “Hey guys”.
I flinched, and then turn to glare at Andrew shooting him my best I hate you stare. He leans in apologetically; I whisper “you owe me”. Then paint on the best fake smile I can muster and turn to face Arvin; Andrews younger brother (who’s Satan incarcerate). There are very few draw backs in being Andrews’s friend: the first is he complains constantly about his grades even though he’ getting 90’s and the second is his 7 year-old brother, who likes to bite and brake things for fun.

“Hey Neil” Arvin’s cracked in his usual squeaky voice, “are we going to your house”.

“Uh yah” I answered, silently cursing Andrew, “after week pick up a movie”.

Arvin jumped at the response and started running to the store obviously glimmering with excitement.

“I hate you Andrew” I growled

His hands stuck up in defence “Hey chill, my mom forced me to take him, it was either that or be stuck at home all day”.

“Fine” I shot, “but if he bites or breaks anything I’m revoking this friendship and Dominic becomes my best friend from then on”.

“Yeah”, Dominic cried.

I looked to him and grimaced “let’s just get this over with”, and then walked after the kid.

_+__+____+_____+______+_______+_________+_____________+_______________+__________________+

“Is your brother even aloud to watch zombie land, I mean he’s seven “I asked as we sat around my living room.

Andrew looked up from the cover of the movie he was reading and shrugged” It’s fine; he’s scene gorier movies than this”. Then the tossed the case onto the table between the four of us, and reclined his head back into the couch. He snatched up the remote to hit play.
The credits rolled by quickly, for whom the bells tolls began sounding on the screen.
Fat people ran-away from strippers, fireman ran from zombies on fire, drug deals went wrong, blood splattered all over the screen.

I checked on Arvin, the kid looked a little Squeamish, and distraught. So I asked, “You okay Arvin”?

Suddenly he jump up, and rushed up the stairs,

What the hell…

A loud crash filled the silence. We leapt off the couch and threw ourselves up the stairs.

At the top stood Arvin dancing on his toes holding his pants, he panted “where the bathroom”? I pointed to my mom’s room and checked my own, inside sent me into shock.

My father’s clock lay in pieces on the floor. I my knees buckled and collapse to the floor. My hand reached out and stroked the glistening glass of the clock base. I traced the many lines and curves; the wood was completely smooth and crackles, small red stains spread about the piece. Endless hours of sweat, and even blood had to be put in the making of this. I drew up a piece of the one of the more lengthy pieces of wood, a sleek black curved piece of metal lay under it.

I frowned, shifted away some of the pieces revealing, a sleek black curved knife. An inscription lay in its leathery strapped pommel, a pair of golden wings. My eyes widen, without thinking my hand reached out to touch the knife. The black surface sent a tingling sensation running through my hand. It traveled up my arm, into my shoulder and spread amongst my body, when it reached the brim of my head my body began to pulse like a heartbeat. A rush of blood came to my head sending my body into a spasm. My mind felt as if it would explode.

Sudden images flashed before my eyes, an old damp cathedral surround by gargoyles, a small ring with a blue topaz gem, a scarred, a black sun, a forest covered in shadows, and a silver book bound in chains of white. A dark decrypt voice played in my head, on alien to my own.

It spoke the form of a riddle, “A thousand slain souls you know hold, strong but not strong, twin to a light formed from god, Brothers united, and brothers separated, destiny will come to pass, the grimoire set free, Michaels legacy was decree”.
(this part i'll probably change)

Then darkness fell over my eyes and I let myself drift off.

This is pretty long, thx for reading anyway. Nitpick away

As a writer, I'm more interested in what people tell themselves happened rather than what actually happened.
