I wrote this today in AP Lit/AP Bio instead of paying attention :)
Note: ...= held out note and (words)= echo

I knew it all along…
I knew it wouldn’t last
The past won’t change,
Our fate is set…
The wind will never cease to blow
The moon will never cease to fall
And in the end,
I still will say,
I knew it all along…

---

Chorus:
You can’t run and fight it,
No…
It’s like a fire burning,
And it’s unstoppable
This thing called love…
(This thing called love)
This thing called love…
(This thing called love)
This thing called love…

---

Jump on the wave that’s crashing in
Hold on tight to this whirlwind
Cause it’s unstoppable
Maybe impossible
You always told me to believe,
This could be it,
It’s not a dream
Even through the hard parts, I knew…

---

Chorus

---

History repeats itself, it’s true
The same that I had you,
And then I lost you
(This thing called love)
You know we couldn’t just stay friends,
It doesn’t work that way…
I knew it all along

---

Chorus

---

I knew it all along…
We belong together,
We’re one

---

Chorus (x2)
It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.

I really like this song, the chorus is amazing, one of those times I wish I could hear the tune. My favorite part is:
Jump on the wave that’s crashing in

Hold on tight to this whirlwind

Cause it’s unstoppable

Maybe impossible

You always told me to believe,

This could be it,

It’s not a dream

Even through the hard parts, I knew…
You can’t run and fight it,

No…

It’s like a fire burning,

And it’s unstoppable

This thing called love…

(This thing called love)

This thing called love…

(This thing called love)

This thing called love…

Bravo, only criticism: I like the first verse although having trouble understanding it... the part about the wind and moon. Anyways, very well done.

Very good. Do you have a proper beat established to be able to go with this? If not I recommend you to, its very very good :]
Anyways, reviewing.
Hmm, it was overall very good. I like it to be honest, and there weren't much mistakes.
Are you trying to have a kind of rhyming pattern going on? I don't see much of that, but again many songs or poems do not have to have a specific pattern such as ab or aa. Etc.
The reader can infer you put quite a lot of time to this, and it came from your heart. That's good, that is what writing is supposed to do.
I think you wrote this while thinking of someone in bio? ;)
Haha, but one nit pick here.
The first verse made sense, about the moon not falling..however it was a slight bit confusing as times. You might want to look over that and make sure its what your trying to say and if yes, clean it up a bit.
Good job & good luck!

Thanks for the reviews :)
JustDance: Haha, no I wasn't thinking about anyone in my bio class :) It's actually from the perspective of the MC of the book I'm writing and it's about her significant other :)

Sometime in the hopefully near future I'll post the melody to this like I've done for a couple of my other songs.

Wow wow wow! I love this song. I find the lyrics to be quite well written and i especially love the similies in the beginning. I myself find that I can relate to this song which makes me like it more. I actually gave you a gold star before the end haha ;D
I just want to know what is this song like? Slow or fast? Acoustic or full band?
And just curious, what book are you reading?
Vouslez vous de beurre? =}D

Thanks much! :D
It starts kind of medium but it's meant to be a fast song. Definitely full band.
I'm not really reading anything right now because I don't have a lot of time unfortunately :'(
