Hi there!
So I'm Michaela, but feel free to call me Mica.
I'm 14 on Thursday (22nd, yay!) and I love writing stories under romance, coming-of-age and tragedy.
I live in Hong Kong, why yes it's true, I love the smell of nail polish (my favorite NAIL color is Navy Blue) and I should be posting my new story, Hillsong, frequently.
Anythehoo,, I'm American half Chinese with fractions of Irish, Lebanese, Filipino and possible Spanish blood. Yes yes, a large mix indeed.
So hopefully you guys will give me some great feedback on my writing, and I will do the same with yours!

I'm Amy, nice to meet you!

First off, I love your name. Rather a lot.

Now, a quick run-down of the most important rules:

1) The 3:1 ratio! Basically you have to go 3 reviews for every piece of work you post. This little baby keeps the whole site moving

2) Plz no cht spk OR CAPS LOCK or insanely long sentences that don't have any punctuation or apostrophes or capitilization and have bad spelling and no grammar and lots of ands and ums and ahs. *gasp* (did you get that? There's a test later xD )

3) If your work has the f-word or adult content please put "Rated R" somewhere in the title.

4) Be nice: no flaming, swearing outside of stories or unnecessary agression.

Well, that's the main ones sorted!

Congrats on your upcoming birthday, by the way! I'm 14 too but I'm going to be 15 in Feburary.

And navy blue = the most win nail colour ever! I'm a bit of a blue fanatic, if you hadn't guessed

I have to say, the mix of bloods you got there is pretty damn awesome! I'm just English, Irish and Scottish. (As someone on YWS told me, I am a joke all by myself!)

And don't worry, you will get amazing feedback on your writing here! You improve so much on YWS!

Anyway, my last tip to you will be to check out the Buddy system.If you PM one of the people on there, then they will be your mentor for your first month on YWS!

Happy-almost-birthday! Fourteen is an awesome age, and I'd know because I am fourteen. ^_^ So what are you hoping to do with your new teen year? Have any idea?

Also, your genre preferences are interesting. Is your story, Hillsong, a tragedy, coming-of-age, or romance? I have a horrible weakness for anything mildly amorous, call me a hopeless romantic, but I'll be more than happy to review it if it's romantic fiction! If not, I review pretty much anything else.

Anyways, you've probably noticed some people here have different colored usernames, like Aqua and I. That's because we're Greeters! Here's how it all goes down-

Greeters- We greet people! We're amiable people who are willing to go out of our way to help others and make new people feel welcomed as well as informed about how YWS works. Greeters are also a shocking aqua.

Instructors- They instruct! That means they critique thoroughly and will make you a wonderful writer. If you want a down and dirty, nitty-gritty, nit-picky review, these are the best people to go to for help! They are a lovely bruised color.

Junior Moderators- A few descriptions of these YWSers are pretty much all of the above! They can greet and instruct, but that's not what they're known for. What they really do is control one section on YWS, like the Fiction forums. JMs or Junior Mods are similar to a bright, neon lime but without the sour part.

Moderators- These people go above and beyond to help out YWS! They control all forums and help members, so if you ever have a problem contact one of these guys. Also, they just love wearing some evergreen!

Distinguished Members- They are so distinguished because they have served YWS as the all mighty and powerful Moderators! We YWSers hold them in the highest respect of fighting the war against plagiarism, bad language, and the horrors of writing evil-doers. Yes, they have helped shape YWS greatly into what you see today but sadly duty called elsewhere and they had to retire from the YWS job force. You can now see them in there uniforms of a dazzling orange color.

Administrators- These guys (and girl) have all raised YWS from its birth. They keep the site running smoothly so you can have the best time while you're here.

Nate, the mother of YWS and also referred to as the YWS God, has recently given YWS a new makeover. It is now easier to navigate through and peruse through all its works. So you have him to thank him for your future experience here and all the enjoyment you'll have from meeting new friends, becoming more of an extraordinary writer, and having a blast doing it all!

Admins are a sweet cherry color because of all the happiness they bring to us YWSers.

~Do you like writing on paper or on the computer? It's said the quality of people's writings are better when you write it out freehand. That's because of the way we perceive things in our minds and the flow of creative spirit running through our pens down to paper. Haha, okay maybe I'm being a little over-dramatic but I'm curious as to what people think of it.

Um...I definitely hope my shade of purple isn't bruised looking. *scowls at Selene*
