A dragon I drew! I thought it looked pretty cool, unfortunately I do not have a scanner. :D The thing of the left side is it's wing.

Hey Kammie! It's me!

Okay, awesomest pic ever! A couple things though.

I think it should show scales. If they are there I can't see them. It just seems too smooth, you know?

And you need to add a background. (Okay, you don't need to, but it'd be cool.)

You should have drawn it on paper without those little rip things in it, but that's too late to fix.

Great pic!

Happy YWSing!

That's really cool! A couple suggestions:
As another reviewer said, show a few scales. I don't mean you should go over the drawing, painstakingly adding in ever scale, but a few clusters here and there would add some nice texture.
Also, a little more shading would be cool.
And this is just sort of an extra thing you could add: to make the smoke look a little more smoky, just blend it in with your finger or a tissue. It'll make it look really nice and hazy.
Overall, good job! =D Hope to see more artwork of yours.

Nice!

Other reviewers have already said all i could think of, so I'll just offer my thoughts!

I like the horns and the general shape of the dragon's head, Its just well - drawn!

More texture to the dragons body though, like little clumps of scales or battle wounds or something cool like that.

Keep on drawin'

Cool!
I draw dragons too sometimes and I like seeing how other people draw them.
Your drawing style is really neat and I'd like to see some more of your drawings soon! :D

Kammie!

First off, awesome drawing! As Crazy said, you're a neat artist and you've got a nice style there!
However, I'm going to re-iterate what people have said because they're right.

- Add some texture to the picture. Maybe some scales on the spiky bit and the back would make it better?

- Better paper. The rips on the side take away from the whole thing. Not that you can do anything about that but just a heads up (:

- Y'know the horn that is facing away from us? I think that could do with a little more shading.

But overall, really nice picture!

Everyone covered everything I would have said. So refer back to them.

I think the eyes could be more dynamic. Right now they are just there because
they have to be ya know?

I defiantly like it. Good job. Maybe you should get yourself a Tablet and draw
directly to your PC. Very useful so you don't have to deal with paper or scanning.

Hi Kamas!
Pink here,
let me just start by saying you did amazing. I know, personally, how hard it is to draw
one of those things and you did exceptionally well!
Only a few things I'd like to point out.
As gsppcrocks10 said, you need some scales. You don't need to draw them singly, just in some places to give it that texture.
Maybe shade it a bit more and give off some highlights in the horns.
Other than that, this is a great looking piece.
Keep it up!

D:
It hurts other people to draw that well, you know!
Before I start this, I'm warning you that I cannot critique art. I really can't. When people draw anything that demonstrates skill greater than the stick figure stage, my review is usually, "Pretty!" So be warned.
This is a great drawing, Kamas. I love the expression on the dragon's face.
The one thing that bothers me is the underside of is neck. Why is it so smooth? D:
Seriously. He's all scaly and stuffs, but then his neck is like super smooth.

Told you I write amazing art reviews.

Hello!
I'd like to say first off, great picture. It's very well-drawn. Like a bunch of others have said, add scales. A few here and there would make it seem more realistic. The wing in front of his face is very nice too.
Another thing I noticed was that the angle of his head doesn't quite match up with his neck. It seemed very disformed or whatever.
Hope i helped!

Hey there, Moo here, dropping in for a review of your lovely beastie here. ;) I have to say, I love mythical creatures and you don't see that many of them stalking the Art and Photography forum.

This dragon is rather cool. I like his jagged, angular face which helps to make him more reptilian. However, it would be nice for his mouth to be coloured in. ;) Shading would also be nice, to make this picture really jump at you from the page. However, the slightly cartoony style of this dragon sort of cancels the need for shading out. As some reviewers have already said, some scales would be good. A good technique for small scales is to take a different colour, darker than the base, and make loads of tiny little 'swirls' with the pencil. The result is nice, if you're patient enough with it. ;)

Good work, keep on drawing. :P

Awesome - but as so many have already said, here are a couple of things you should change:

-add more scales - a couple of clusters here and there to add some texture
-At first, I didn't realize that the smoke was even smoke - you should add some shading to it, a bit of lumpy roundness, like clouds.
-take a dark marker and make the eye stand out a little more. Maybe even trace the whole thing with a couple of bold, dark lines in the shadowy area.
Keep working, I see potential! :)
