My day is gone
The waves are long
My heart is in love today
The life I hear
Is not so dear
It’s hard to live this way
When you’re in love
It drags you down
But is that why I miss you?

Hi Kikaharu!
Don't hate me, please, but I didn't like this poem. (But really that's just my opinion!! It doesn't mean that others won't like it!)

It just didn't really make sense. It sort of feels like you just tried to string words together that sounded typically poetic. I can't seem to find any emotion.
The lines don't go together too well. It starts off talking about one thing, but then changes to something else.
For example, this:
My day is gone
The waves are long
My heart in love today

And then
The life I hear is not so dear

doesn't really make sense to me. But when you do use this line, it should be:
"The life I hear
Is not so dear"
just so that it fits with your metre.
Also, the last sentence is very different from everything else.
It's unclear where one sentence starts and another ends, too. Periods and commas would be just what you need.

Some advice:
When you write poetry, you've really got to write it from the heart. I think that when you're in the moment, the words will just come to you; but you can't force it. For real emotion to shine through, you just sometimes have to wait for the right time. (For example, if you're happy, you're most likely not going to be able to write a really good tear jerking poem.) Otherwise, it may sound just a bit forced and slightly insincere.

I truly hope I haven't been too harsh.
If you like, you can ignore this all.
But,
I really hope you take my advice to heart <3

I wish you all the best,
-- Miss Ching

This is my first poetry review, so bear with me.

The topic of this poem didn't really interest me, but that's not you fault. There was an obvious topic, so that's good. There was a nice pattern to the writing, and I helped work it together. The only problem with the rhyme (for me) was the last line:

But is that why I miss you

It just didn't fit with the entire feel; it was a little of with the flow.

Great poem!
When it comes to havoc, nobody wreaks like me!

I know your writing about the hardships of love, but I'm sorry I just don't think you poured enough emotions into this poem. Your feelings aren't expressed clearly enough, so the person reading won't really understand what your saying. My advice is to write what you feel, and I mean a real feeling. This feeling is not like an everyday one, it doesn't come often, but it is the reason why someone writes a words of art or paints a truely beautiful picture.

What I like about this poem is that I know the subject. Sometimes, when I read a poem, I have no idea what the writer is referring to or hinting towards. With this poem, you go right out and declare the topic: love. One of the parts of the poem I'd like to comment on is the final line. Ending with a rhetorical question isn't bad, but I feel like you could have led up to the question in a smoother way. The ending didn't particularly seem to match up with the rest of the piece. Nice work, though!
