I smile as my friends, my family, say such meaningful things, linking arms. I link arms with Lizzie, and smile at Mikael when he links arms with me. He doesn't look at me, rather at Kili, and angry scowl on his face. I don't mind, though. He's here, and he's solid (though rather cold), and he is standing by me and my family, an act that says more about him than anything else. I smile more, turning to Kili. Just as I'm about to tell her to get lost, Daemyn pushes past Lurie, stumbling towards Kili. "I agree with her," He says enthusiastically, standing by her side. He looks horrible in the morning sun, his skin pasty and yellow-tinged, his eyes blank and bloodshot, his liberty spikes ruffled and bent. I look over at Lurie, and see tears welling in her eyes. Before I can stop what I'll know she'll do, she runs towards Daemyn brokenly. "N-no!" She cries, trying to pull him back to us by his arm. "No. You don't agree." I let go of Lizzie and Mikael to go get her. As I'm pulling her back, she's kicking and screaming, sobbing gasps rattling her whole frame. "NO!" She screams, trying to elbow me in the stomach. "YOU DON'T AGREE!" I pull her back to the line, where Lizzie and Zeb hug her and comfort her with whispers. I turn back to face Kili, but her and Daemyn are gone. I close my eyes for a brief, dark, silent moment, then turn to hug Alura. "Lurie," I whisper, gently walking her towards the girl's tent. "Lurie, it'll be ok. I promise." She just sobs into my shoulder, looking back to where Daemyn was standing not ten seconds ago.

Zack, can disperse his own molecules; can inhabit an inanimate object

I watched as Kili and Deamyn dissipated into the darkness. This wasn't good. I wanted to join them, but I needed to maintain my good image amongst the others. Then I had an idea. I dissipated my molecules. After a little searching, I found a nice, fat, hundred dollar bill. I jumped into it and floated towards Carmel. She had been standing off to the side and no one noticed as she followed my cash-shaped being into the darkness after Kili and Daemyn. finally, I found Kili and inserted myself into her pocket. Then I floated out of the bill and watched the events.

Carmel was surprised to find Kili, but it didn't take long to get her to the evil side with a little bribery. At that moment I solidified.

"Good. Now the sides are more even. I'll join you, but don't let the others know. I can spy on their side while they believe I'm good."

We four walked into the night, chuckling all the way.

Kili,

I walk along beside Zack, Daemyn and Caramel. My plan, as I knew it would, succeeded. I rake my fingernails on the side of a tree, relishing the pain I get from it. Absentmindedly, I pick up a stick and pull out my knife and start whittling it into a wickedly sharp point. Then, I poke the ground, watching it sink deep, imagining that I am impaling Fee. I giggle.

I hugged Des once it was over. "I can't believe you stood up to her like that! You rocked."

"But we lost Daemyn," He said.

"Daemyn will probably come back," I reassured him, and myself. "He's just drunk and disoriented right now. When he realizes what happened, he'll come back."

Des just smiled at me. "I'm just glad you didn't get hurt."

Nick,

I turn around to Fee and Lurie, a look of shock on my face. Lurie is sobbing into Fey's shoulder. Not wanting to intrude, I look elsewhere and see Des and Kat talking again. I walk over to them. I congratulate Kat for taking on Kili. Then I grow quiet as I notice something odd.

"Nick? What is it?" asks Des.

"Wha-? Oh. It's just, doesn't it seem odd that Caramel and Zack have just disappeared? They were here just a few minutes ago."

The other two look around, and frown. Then, our gazes meet at the same instant. Something is wrong.

Zephyra; The Winged One

I noticed that something was off as soon as I realized how... quiet it was. Or at least, Carmel wasn't trying to get beneath my skin. No taunts, no insults. Just... quiet. I looked around; she wasn't anywhere.
Kili, I thought, thinking of how Carmel looked like she was about to agree with her. And, in case she wasn't with Kili of her own free will, I decided to fly and look for her; even if I just wanted to see her in pain.

Flying, overhead, I could see a small campfire. Kili. I thought, dropping down, faster. Of course, I really should have checked that it wasn't just some campers. They started to point; I hoped they couldn't see my face. I tried to pull up.
It had been quite a while since I'd done such a sharp incline. And it had been quite a while since I'd had to, at the same time, cover my face. Although I was able to get above the treeline, I was unable to see where I was going; so it was no surprise when I collided with a tall tree.

I was struck by how much it hurt. I tried opening my eyes. I couldn't see much, only four figure, leaning over me. And they weren't campers.
This guy is so evil you could put him in between two slices of bread and call him an evil sandwich.

Mikael

I watched them walk away with a heavy heart. I was suprised at who had gone and who had stayed. I watched with a deep cold sadness as Alura cried her sweet little heart out. I fought the urge to break down when i saw the look of sadness on Fee's face. Des, Kat and Nick were talking quietly by the big top. Finally i pulled myself toghether, dropped the hammer and went to comfort Alura. Ever since i had come to the circus she had been like the little sister i never had. When Kili and Carmel had picked on her, i'd been there to teach them a lesson.
I strode over to Fee and Alura. I peeled Alura off Fee's shoulder and wrapped her up in a big hug. Fee had more important things to worry about right now and i would do whatever i could to help. I mouthed 'It'll be ok, i promise' over Aluras shoulder, then got back to the comforting.
"Alura. Listen to me princess. Its not worth crying over. When he sobers up and realises what he's missing he'll be back."
"And...and what if he doesn't com back?" She sobbed.
"Then i'll go get him." I growled, fighting to keep the venom out of my voice.
"You...you prom...promise?" She looked almost happy. She obviously didn't realise what i was gonna do to him once i found him.
"I promise."

I stared blankly after Daemyn as he left with Kili. How could he just leave us like this? It wasn't right; he was drunk, someone needed to go stop him.

"Anyone object to me trying to bring Daemyn back myself?" I asked. I didn't really expect anyone to care. They were obviously distraught and distracted by the members of our group who had taken off. It wouldn't be too hard to take them down if I could ambush them anyways. A little spit in their eyes, and they wouldn't even see me coming.

I looked away from Mikael's face as he took Lurie in his arms, and checked out the rest of the Misfits. Zanette was gone, and so was Carmel, and Viper was walking toward where they had left and-

Viper was walking away. Cursing under my breath, I ran on light feet to try to catch up with him. "Viper!" I gasped, reaching to him. I put a hand on his arm, and my skin turned to beautiful glittering scales. Huh, did I have my gloves off this whole time? I didn't think I did... I look back to Viper "Are you..." Wow, asking someone you trusted if they were turning against you was really awkward. "You aren't leaving? I mean, I know you feel like people don't like you, but that's THEM out there! We all love you and trust you and you're our fri-" "Fee," He said, putting a hand on my shoulder. "I'm going to try to get Daemyn back. I'm not leaving. It's just, he was drunk, and I highly doubt he knew what he was doing. I wouldn't doubt it if..." we looked at each other, eyes wide. Of course. Of course! He was drunk and down. Kili got to him! If she could get to someone when they were merely asleep, someone who was severely hungover, sick, AND asleep would be a snap!

"I have to let Nick know, but I want to come with you." He nodded and I ran off to where Nick was standing with Des and Kat. "Nick," I said, pulling him away. A bit harsh, but hey, we were practically in the middle of a civil war. "Nick, Kili got into Daemyn's head. He didn't mean to leave, I bet. He wanted to." Nick's nostrils flared as he realised what I was saying. "Damn it!" He yelled, starting to walk off. I grabbed his shirt, pulling him back. "Me and Viper are going to get him back. Hold down the fort?" He nodded and ran off towards the others.

I looked down at my bare hand, and then at my scaly skin. Either I hadn't touched Nick's shirt, or something was seriously wrong with me. I shook off the thought and ran back to Viper. "All clear, Captain," I said, smiling grimly. "Oh, and another thing? Can we try not to kill anyone?" I asked as we stalked into the damp, cold forest in front of us.

Nick,

I watch Fey and Viper walk into the forest. I desperately want to confront Kili, but that probably put us into more trouble than we already are. So I turn around and try to make some order out of the chaos that the camp has become. I make sure that Lizzie, Zeb, and Mikael are comforting Lurie, I inform Kat and Des about the situation and I try to keep myself calm. Fee and Viper are very capable and I'm sure they'll be fine, but I can't help but worry.

Kili,

I look down at the dazed Wing-girl and I know that fate is with me. This is just getting better and better. So they actually decided to look for me? Wow. They're stupider than I thought. I see if I can get into Zannette's mind, and I find that I can. Soon, little miss bird girl is feeling as if it would be greatly beneficial to help Kili Joy and her vendetta against Fee.

I gazed down at the unconscious winged girl. I didn't know her name, but her arrival heralded more to come. I had to leave if I were to keep my cover. Not to mention, there was an odd look in Kili's eye and I didn't want to see what would happen next.

"I'll be back!" I call as i begin disintegrating.

Kili lashed out furiously in an attempt to hold me back. "NOOO!" she screeched.

Before long, I caught sight of Fee and Viper. I began descending to meet them in false cheery greeting.

seth,

I walk in the dark woods around me and I see kili sitting on the ground sharpening a twig. I walk up to her and in a nice calm voice I say to her " I will join you".

I gave Fee a little smile. "That's what I was thinking, actually. But that's why it's good that I'm going. All it'll take is a bite, and they won't be able to do anything for a few hours. If I can't get close enough for that, I can just spit. It should leave them blinded for about a day."

Fee wrinkled her nose slightly. "With your spit?"

"Pretty much, yeah." I tilted my head. "Your arm's all scaley like mine. I thought you had your gloves on."

She opened her mouth to say something, but then a kid, one of the newcomers from earlier, materialized in front of us. I stiffened.

"Looking for something?" he asked.

"Someone, actually," I replied, eyes narrowed slightly.

"That's good." I reply to Viper. I had re-solidified not a moment ago and stared at him. "I've been following Kili. I lost track of her and was heading back to camp when I found you. I'm a little tired, though, so I think I'll just keep heading back..."

"Oh no." Viper interrupted. "You're going to help us. Got it?"

I didn't like the suspicion in his voice.
