Some paper airplanes fly far and some don't. In this article I will talk about 5 types of paper airplanes and their performance.

What makes paper planes fly farther than a piece of paper is aerodynamics. Aerodynamics are how the air goes around the plane. Folding the tips of the wings down helps the plane go the direction the wind is blowing. The more the wings are handled the more the plane will wreck, but folding the tips down doesn't hurt it's performance. What makes the planes good or bad is the aerodynamics. Folding the back of the wings up makes the plane go higher, but folding the wings down makes the plane not wreck as much. Wider, sturdier wings helps the plane fly farther without wrecking.
The biggest differences between paper planes and real planes are real planes are made of sturdier materials and they have controlled motors. Some smaller differences are real planes have tires on the bottom so they can land and they are much faster than paper planes. Real planes have engines that propel the plane forward, because of the planes aerodynamics, the plane is lifted off the ground at the speed of about 90 M.P.H..
Overall my own design is the best, maybe some day I can become an engineer and make my design into a real plane.
