Anyone read the books? How are they? Excited about the upcoming movie? I have to get the books from the library and check them out...I might go, if not for the fact that Josh Hutcherson is going to be in it.
There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people: psychopaths and mystery writers. I'm the kind that pays better. ~Rick Castle
I've read them all! But the fact that its coming out makes me sad... For one thing, I really, really, really have a big dream that I will one day direct the Demonata series... Since this movie is coming out, my dreams are cut short. Will comment more on actors later.
This guy is so evil you could put him in between two slices of bread and call him an evil sandwich.
Ah! i saw the trailer for this and i bet its going to be one of those movies where the fans of the books are like 'THATS NOT HOW IT HAPPENED!!!, THIS STORY IS SO MUCH BETTER IN BOOK-FORM' Yeah, that'l probably be me, I'll complain through the whole movie Also I think its set in America... O.o
I saw it a couple of days ago with a friend of mine. It was good, kind of weird (but then again it is about freaks), nothing epic but nothing awful. It was interesting seeing Josh Hutcherson playing one of the "bad guys." Haven't read all of the books, only the first two, so I don't know how the movie compares.

Doesn't look very good, plus the Rotten Tomato Show really hated it. It's hardly recommended.
Spoiler
I like people thinking that I have something so scandalous to say that I put it in spoiler tags, and I'm sorry that because of this selfish desire you were roped into reading this for not real lasting value.
I thought the books were an easy read but well written. It was a good 'old classic vampire story about a boy named Darren Shan. He also narrated the story telling the whole thing from his point of view. There was a variety of many interesting and quirky characters with odd cheesy names but what book isnt good with out a little bit of cheese to it? I have not seen the movie yet but honestly I do not think it will do the book justice.
Kinda nervous and excited for the movie, but from my experience, book adaptations have a high chance of failing in movies. So...let's cross our fingers...xP
