~The Ocean of Obscurity~

The ocean of obscurity is the vast ignorance that saturates the world.
An endless body of churning blindness swollen with the torrents spewed up from rivers of unknowing.
The rivers are fed by the steady rain of uncertainty that whispers lies as it falls.

On the shores of obscurity, the Un-learning make their home; worse than blind, they see and refuse to comprehend; worse than deaf they hear and refuse to listen.
In this way they condemn themselves to suffer.

They build shifty cities on shifting sands to be inhabited by a shiftless people.
When the tides of folly stumble up from the seas of ignorance, their abodes are wiped away. Shanty and chateaux alike are demolished by the vomit of idiocy.

At night, lapped and lulled to unconsciousness by obscurity’s soothing untruths, the unlearning sleep in the wreckage and then awaken to look at the blanketed horizon over which dawn will never com, and begin to build again.

~Exodus to Nowhere~
Away from Obscurity stands the mountain born of the stone called knowledge.
At the summit of this mountain is the diamond peek of wisdom, emerging as the head of the monument as it rose from the forge of truth, the molten foundation and core of the world.

Down from the summits come the Learned.
From perches on the peak, philosophers fly down on sphinxes wings, blazing a path of forethought though their feet never touch the ground.
The path runs under legs of the comedians as they straddle the canyons of ridicule and critique.
Even the laymen refined the path as they pave it over the grassy knolls of common sense.
The path eventually stretches onward and through the black ocean, where the teachers tread atop of the water sowing lessons like seeds filtered from the chaff of information that fall to the bottom and become bricks of thought in the pavement, strong enough to throw off time like a dirty cloak.

Meanwhile the benighted on the beach shatter their heels on granules of sand, drown in a toe of blinding surf as they are lapped and laughed at.

The Enlightened from the mountain go down into the sea of ignorance and split it asunder, dividing it up to walk on the dry knowledge beneath.
Further in, great mountains of knowledge are exposed with summits of wisdom unveiled like radiant brides.

It is in this Manner that the Learned climb one mountain of truth only to see a ridge of others.

The Students are made weary by this Disillusionment, but continue onward.
The professors, who are wed to these mountains to mine their bounty, set their dreams in stone and seal their destiny.

All who have entered into the sea of darkness eventually lose their breath of life to the shrouding depths. Being not like the un-learning, the Learned accept their fate and tarry not to bludgeon one another with floundering.
But all is never lost.

As the dark Ocean persists so will the pilgrimage of Education.

The children of the Learned will take the sandals from the feet of the tombs and travel the path of learning up mountains of knowledge to peaks of wisdom and down again as if they were traversing the scales and spines on the back of Ouroboros
in pursuit The Truth
The Elusive and Immortal Head
of that eternal serpent.
That they may know his thoughts

Some things I saw that merit a bit of editing:

"dawn will never com" come needs an e.
"the diamond peek of wisdom" peak, not peek.
"Down from the summits come the Learned.
The path eventually stretches onward and through the black ocean, where the teachers tread atop of the water sowing lessons like seeds filtered from the chaff of information that fall to the bottom and become bricks of thought in the pavement, strong enough to throw off time like a dirty cloak."
This part seems like it could use some different spacings.
"The children of the Learned will take the sandals from the feet of the tombs and travel the path of learning up mountains of knowledge to peaks of wisdom and down again as if they were traversing the scales and spines on the back of Ouroboros
in pursuit The Truth
The Elusive and Immortal Head
of that eternal serpent.
That they may know his thoughts"
Some punctuation after thoughts, and possibly some spacing.

All in all, I liked this. My biggest issue was the irregularity of the spacing and rhythm. It seems like you're swapping back and forth between free verse and a nice, three-line pattern (the technical term slips my mind at the moment).
Good work, though.
