Aleah was crouched over the driver when something grabbed her shoulders and lifted her into the air. She shrieked and conjured fire, sending it shooting from her palms and hitting whatever was above her. Her skin also heated up extremely noticably. "Owch, not fair!" the thing screeched. It dropped her on her back.

She was looking at what looked like a human, but it had wings, on its head, and its shoulder blades. It was flying circles around her, about four feet off the ground. "What are you? What is your name not human?"

Aleah was surprised. Its voice was serpent-like, and it seemed to be having trouble speaking English. "I am a Wyvern-child. My name is Aleah. Who are you?"

She looked at the not human. It was called Aleah. "Not human Aleah, child of the great serpent, I am Joan, child of the great serpent." She looked at the not human. It was so odd. It was a child like her, but it walked among the humans.

"Come see nature at it's finest. Where the human charges matter not. Or forever be one of them." She didn't want one like herself to be living with the humans. Not after the shame the humans put on her.

Aleah, the not human, looked puzzled. She locked eyes with Joan. Joan held it until Aleah had broken it. She paid no notice to the human, or not human, whom was in the car.
All I can hear; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". Even those tears; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". No one's frightened of playing it. Everyone's saying it. Flowing more freely than wine. All through your life; "I me mine".

"Come see nature at it's finest. Where the human charges matter not. Or forever be one of them." Aleah was confused. Joan, if that was what she was called, spoke like she was from one of those old novels.

It took her a moment, but she figured out what she had said. "Listen Joan, I'd love to come with you, but that person over there looks like he needs my help. Let me help him. Then I'll think about coming with you. But no promises. All right?" Aleah thought this was a fair trade. After all, she could always back out later if she needed to.

She hissed. "Not human, why do you taunt me so?" She dropped a hiking map that she had picked up off of a human. "See that cave?" Her language was getting better with each word she spoke. Still it was hard to fully understand.

Aleah nodded. "That be my cave." She lifted the car into the air. She shook it until the human, or potentially not human fell out. She dropped the car. She nearly dropped it on the human, or not human. Still she avoided trying to kill the human.

"See the pitiful human is alive, come."
All I can hear; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". Even those tears; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". No one's frightened of playing it. Everyone's saying it. Flowing more freely than wine. All through your life; "I me mine".

"See the pitiful human is alive, come." Aleah sighed. She's certainly stubborn. She thought. "All right, one minute." Joan hissed impatiently. Aleah ignored her and pulled out her cell phone. It had a shiny orange casing that had been a gift from her grandmother. She punched in the number. 9 1 1.....

After a moment she got off the phone. "Now I can go." Joan dove down and grabbed her shoulders, but only the cloth of her shirt. She lifted her in the air, above the buildings. Aleah saw an ambulance driving towards the wreckage of the car, which was lying upside down in the middle of the road. Then Joan began flying south, towards the mountains.

She flew rather quickly. She tried not to slow. This not human was difficult. She finally landed inside a cave. She let Aleah catch her footing before she released her. She stood facing outwards towards the forest. There was a river that ran through it.

It could all be seen from this angle. She kept staring. "I've declared war on the humans, not human Aleah." She seemed to be lost in the view herself.
All I can hear; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". Even those tears; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". No one's frightened of playing it. Everyone's saying it. Flowing more freely than wine. All through your life; "I me mine".

Name: Job Hendricks (like the guy from the Bible, pronounced Jobe)
Age: 19
Gender: male
Appearance: 6'2", built like a tank. Skin is dark, as are his eyes (he's of African descent).
Power(s): Extremely intelligent and insightful. Recovers from injuries faster than a human (not to the point of regenerating limbs, but if he gets cut it heals over in a matter of hours instead of days, etc.)
Personality: Mellow, a good person to just talk to. Very kind, though he won't back down from a confrontation (he'll only resort to violence if it's absolutely necessary)
Weapons/skills: Uses his fists, but with his knowledge of pressure points and other weaknesses of the human anatomy he's pretty dangerous. Knows a lot about pretty much any subject, including how to hack computerized security systems and several languages.
Weakness: Er, sometimes he blacks out and does odd things. He only has fragmented recollections of these episodes afterward.
Other: Up for love, friendship, whatever.

Name: Darren Parker

Age:19

Gender:Male

Appearance:http://treijim.deviantart.com/art/No-Reason-112037203He's a really hard person for me to describe physically. Take this picture and make him look older. That'd be about right, I think... :?

Power(s) One or two: Intuition. He'll get a gut feeling that something is going to happen, and it mostly does. These feelings can be very vague (Something bad is about to happen to Bob Smith) to very specific (Sally Fleming will trip on a paperclip and fall on her back in front of her friends at 2:00 this afternoon).

Personality: Darren can find something ironic about almost every situation. He never truly unwinds, but will always offer a raised eyebrow, smirk, or wry laugh when necessary. He gives good advice, but tends to come on as passive. He's fair and mostly honest (not that he has a problem with lying, per say, but its usually not worth his time).

Weapons/skills: Other than his intuition, Darren is really pathetic. He's scrawny and not athletic in the least. Mostly he has evolved to run away whenever possible.

Weakness: Regarding his intuition, the experience can be described as hold a handful of water. If Darren "holds" the feeling gently, giving it its own space to expand, the feeling will grow. But if he's stressed, "holding" it too tightly, or distracted, the feeling will just slip away, leaving him disoriented and confused.

Other: Up for love.

Kale watched the scene unfold in the street from the safety of a shadowed alleyway. He could tell they were Wyverns, like him, but prefered to be left out of it.

He instead focused on each person. That one, the one called Joan who seemed to have trouble speaking English, had mentioned war. But...what kind of war? Did she even have the resources necessary for it?

Kale turned and followed the retreating wings at a run, waiting until he reached the outskirts of town to transform and fly behind them.

Aleah stumbled slightly when they landed, but Joan gave her a moment to recover her footing before she let go of her. "I've declared war on the humans, not human Aleah." Joan said. She was staring behind her, seeming entranced by something. Aleah turned around, and gasped. Underneath her were miles and miles of trees in every direction. In the distance she could see the town.

"Woah." She breathed.

Job

Job blinked up at the sky. What had happened? He was driving along, and then... there was noise, and air rushing at his face. He was going very fast.

A groan escaped his lips. Of course. He'd had another episode, and managed to get in a car wreck. Well, there wasn't much to do but assess his injuries and go from there.

Running his fingers over his scalp, he found a pretty bad gash which had almost miraculously stopped bleeding already. He found a few other scratches and bruises, but nothing too serious. With a sigh he sat up as the ambulance rounded the corner.
