I'm Rowan, I'm 17 at the moment. I live in the lovely city of London and have just completed my ASs, onto A levels. I'm studying English Lit (which I want to take to uni), history and philosophy. Right now I should be writing my personal statement as I'm applying to Oxford and should really have handed it in for early application by now :S
I'm very into equal rights and am strongly against discrimination and prejudice of any kind, but I consider myself politically ambiguous, since I know politicians have to appeal to the largest amount of people possible and therefore no party will ever totally be what I want. I'm out and proud as a lesbian lady, and am exercising my considerable craving for justice and fairness by doing what I can to change my more than slightly homophobic school for the better.
Questions? :smt003

have just completed my ASs

Say what

Lol. Hi Rowan. I'm all for equal rights as well. Fortunately where I live most people seem to have a strong sense of equality.

What you say about politicians is true. It seems pretty silly that they need to appeal to the majority, while the minorities have to put up with things that don't suit them. Why not let everyone be individual. We've got a Libertarian party here in Australia, but it's not one of the big ones that actually has any chance of getting in.
Q: Where do you go to buy shoes?

A: At the shoez canal, lol.

I think you and I could go on for days talking about this. I feel the same way!
