People always judge, even if they don’t realize it. But there are certain people in this world who make it a point to asses a person and sort out every aspect of them, looking for something that may lead them to something sinister to spread; venomous people, who are sometimes extremely lethal.
It was these people that focused on Her. They sought her out because of Her allusiveness of anyone except the comfort of Her own friends that she knew rather well and the fact that She was shy.
They judged Her with the worse possible venom.
But it was their loss.
Beneath the shy, quiet girl was a person whose aura was a flawless gold. To those that knew Her well enough She was kind, smart, creative, exciting, trust-worthy, funny, supportive, and so much more than that.
But the Venom didn’t know that. And soon other pressures added to the mixture, and fell hardly on Her shoulders like a boulder.
She was able to sustain the boulder for some time, carrying it bravely and steadily but when the boulder began to slip; Her friends came to help carry the load. Shouldering it upon their backs helping Her carry it farther down the road toward her goal where She could drop the boulder once and for all and be free of its burden for good.
But of course there were times when, even with Her friends there to help Her, the boulder fell and the brave façade that had covered Her face crumbled as Her very heart began to weep at the prospect of having to pick the boulder back up and start again. When such times occurred Her friends stuck by Her as well.
Over the years She had to been so important and wonderful to Her friends, and they were ready to prove to Her that She was worth fighting for and they would help Her through anything.
Thick or thin, they stood by their friend. Whether it was shouldering the boulder after a hard blow, or sitting with Her and telling Her that they would make it, that it wouldn’t necessarily be easy, but they would make it.
One day, they suddenly saw the end in sight. Atop a giant, steep hill, a small beacon of silver light shone, filling all of their hearts with relief and hope. And filling Her's with happiness, She made it.
With a new lightness in their hearts they climbed the steep mountain swiftly; all of them thinking that it was almost over, that this boulder would no longer weigh Her down and cause Her grief and pain.
Once they ascended the top of the mountain, she looked around at what she had begun struggling and striving for this entire endeavor and was breath-less.
Around them was a beautiful wood, the tree’s leaves where the colors of fall and other colors such as rose, turquoise, and silver; shimmering as though they had bits of diamond encrusted in them. The bark of every tree was a perfect hazel and perfectly smooth like birch wood. Beyond the woods lay a sparkling lake surrounded by willow trees; the water a clear, crystal blue. The water, too, looked as though it was carved out of diamond; being lit by the sun, light glanced off the surface and onto the cream-colored bark of the willow trees that surrounded the lake.
The willows were such a spectacle it brought tears to one of Her friend’s eyes. The enormus trunks led up to spectacular vines with leaves the colors of beige and moss. The willows were surrounded by grass of the purest green and between two of the largest willows was a dock leading out onto the lake. At the end of the dock stood a small sail boat made entirely out of shining cherry wood.
They dropped the rock and felt all pains, aches, sorrows, and doubt disappear from their hearts and minds. They walked to the boat, enchanted by the beauty of the moutain top and then, as the boat began to desend up the lake, rejoiced that they had made it. All their efforts were entirely worth such an effort and they all felt a new closeness with each other. An entirely new bond that not even a rock made of lead could break.
The sailboat was carried swiftly on the small waves on the lake toward another treasure of this strange world; an immense castle made entirely of gleaming black bricks. The enormus castle had a large double staircase leading out onto a wide path of white and silver gravel toward another small dock. Beyond the castle you could see a large garden filled with fountains of shimmering sun-lit golden water spouting out of statues of an elf being defended by a warrior, or pouring out of one large marble bowl of water into another in a graceful mezmorizing song and dance.
Surrounding the fountains were clutsters of a million differant colored roses, lilies, tiger lilies, clematis, lupin, and daises. Morning glories wound their way up the fountains and walls of the castle, and water lilies floated about on the surfaces of the golden water. All of the flowers bore strange colors such as gold, silver, blood red, the deepest blue, and once picticular rose that had found its way into the heart of one Her friends upon seeing it was the very colors of the ocean and seemed to change colors as you walked by it.
Beyond the gardens was a large feild with one hill rising above it leading back into the forest with its strange and enchanting trees. On the feild was a small sun-room filled with lavish furiniture such as long wicker couches and big chairs. The cushions were the color of a dull gray but the wicker was of a pure white and brought even more warmth to the room that what was already brought in by the sun.
In front of the castle stood another breath-taking tree; the cherry blossom. The reaching and twisting braches, thin trunks were the color of dark chocoalte and the blossoms were the colors of a bright magenta, a deep black, a dull grey, and a dazzling gold.
They got off the boat and walked toward the castle, breath-less by the sight and beauty of everything. Once more they rejoiced at their victory, but sadly, they soon realized they had done so too soon.
It seemed a monster had come and had taken what was not his. He now had control of the house instead of Her,who it rightfully belonged to. He told them to banish themselves from his sight and to never return. But the friends did not move.
The monster threatened them, cursed at them and called them names but still they did move. They did not move even though they were repulsed by not only what the monster was saying to them but by himself in general. He looked like a regular person aceept for his pulsing bright red eyes, his evil stare, and his odor of rotted cheesecake.
The monster continued to roar at them, saying they were banished from this world. But they defended what they had suffered for and was rightfully Her's. Fianlly, the monster screaming with rage sent a blast of wind into them causing them to fly into the lake, whose glimmer had now dimed.
As they swam for the other side of the lake the friends screamed after him, yelling that one day karma would catch up to him and he would soon regret having done so. Justice would right this wrong. Once on the other side, She felt the rock once more, but this time it was not on Her shoulders but in Her heart. She had worked so hard to reach this place and it had been taken from Her, unfairly and disgracefully.
Her friends sensed Her distress and comforted Her as best they could, assuring Her that karma would indeed catch up with him, and that She would regain the breath-taking moutain-top once more.
And the very next day, She did. They had watched the monster come out of the castle from across the lake. Suddenly, the lake seemed to grow brighter and brighter before they finally had to cover their eyes. Soon after they did, the lake dimed to the bright sparkle it had been before, and there was no sign of the monster; just a green puff of smoke.
Her and Her friends quickly realized what had happened. The monster was Venemous and he had judged with such. He had seen the struggle they had been through in their eyes and judged them to be weakened from it. But he had been horribly wrong. The spirits of the mountain top had seen this and had him punished. Banished from what was never his.
From that day on the three of them lived in that magnifestant castle. Spending their days laughing and enjoying their life without a rock to weigh them down. Although it would somtimes reappear in differant forms but they remembered their promise and stuck to it as much as they did the first day they made that promise. And with all that came a strong unbreakable friendship filled with love, laughter, happiness and so many more things that people over look so much today.
Each of the friends did their own things with the castle. Many hours were spent wandering around it and gazing at all the wonders of the world. Other hours were spent exploring the woods and finding even more breath-taking things upon this beautiful and mysterious mountain-top. But one friend spent many hours writing their story down to remember its trials and tests, keeping every detail close to her heart.
She wrote that story...she wrote this story.
