An Eye For Beauty

Here's more of my photography(: If you have any tips or advice, feel free to say them. Once again, my camera is a Samung S630 with 6.0 mega pixels. For these pictures I use the "Scene" mode.

Hey there Ballet Dancer! June here!

(I know, I'm a pretty harsh critic when it comes to photos, so bear with me. >.<)

In the first one, I love the angle you have, because it presents us with an original perspective that isn't commonly focused on in photography. Needless to say, we're not really looking at anything; the lines lead us away, yes, but what are they leading to, dear? I think if you used a macro/supermacro mode to enable you to focus on the web, you'd have a spectacular shot; the focal point here is a bit nonexistant.

Also! I don't much like the one of the coca cola can; the focal point of this should be the can, but that's blurred. So, it's kind of like, "What are we looking at?".


The sunset is great-- I'm not entirely wild about it, because the silhouettes seem to dominate the photo, and I would have liked to see more sky. Nevertheless, it's a wonderful shot.

Clouds are good, as well! However, a pro-photographer once told me not to photograph the clouds unless they're extremely unique. This is because it's sort of like the best a beginner will photograph and seems generally amateurish. So, I think it's good, but some may find it cliche/unoriginal. xD If that makes sense at all?

I also like the ones of the palm trees, but we have distractions! To start, I would have gone closer to the treeline so that out focus would have been the line that the trees lead along and eliminate the dominant focus on the house. It's kind of distracting and the sun-rays make it a bit hard to tell what's going on here, you know?

On the next photo, I'm not sure what that is, but I do like it. It's a little dark, and I would have loved it more if the flag in the back was more of a dominant image in this. XD I'm just picky, but! Really good work here, dancer.

KITTIES. Never mind the photos, I want the kitties! They're both adorable! I'm not so fond of the first shot, because it comes off as just a snapshot, but I like the second one! The reflection/stuff outside the window is... a distraction! But, I love, love, love the exposure on the cat's eyes.

I'm a little limited when it comes to photography, but I have a friend who likes to take pictures so I'll do my best.

Picture 1: It lacks a focal point. In my opinion, if you had found an angle which would allow the person observing your work to see the spider web a bit more clearly you would fix that problem with ease.

Picture 2: I really like this picture. The only thing I have to say about it is that the gravel off to the side doesn't seen to fit. It draws the eye away from the soda can and the faint reflection of the wood. Otherwise great job.

Picture 3: B-e-a-utiful. I love the color of the sky and how the black landscape sits against it.

Picture 4: Good contrast, but a bit plain for my taste.

Picture 5: Nice scenery. I love the fact that you can see the beams of light coming from the bright source. I just gives it a sacred feel to it.

Picture 6: I like the mysterious feel I get when I look at it. The only thing is the flag pole seems a bit distracting. You could do without it.

Picture 7/8: I'm not so good with animals and cats aren't my favorite animal, but I'll give it a shot. The first one seems foggy and unfocused like a glance shot. I like the color of the eyes on the second one, though the material out the window is a bit distracting. Thinking about it though that probably couldn't be helped.

Hey! You finally posted them! I love the coke can one and the clouds!
you kitties are so cute (although, I'm not a cat person), Sugar and Spicy!
The ones with the plants in them are great too! The spider web, awesome idea! You could have zoomed in on it though, just my opinion.
