Hi :D

My name is Nicole. I am thirteen years old. I have been writing pretty much my whole life, but I just discovered my love for writing six months ago after I started writing fantasy. Besides writing, I enjoy acting and being a goof ball.

My favorite authors are Ted Dekker, Charles Dickens, C.S. Lewis, Louisa May Alcott, Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, Scott Westerfield, Harper Lee, and Emily Bronte. My favorite genres are fantasy, historical fiction, and romance.

I'm currently working on my first fantasy novel, and I hope to finish my tenth rewrite of it by my fourteenth birthday.

That is pretty much it...for now. :)

Oh! Just a quick question: When posting a story, if you have multiple chapters is it necessary to create a new thread for each chapter or can you post everything in one thread?

Hi there Nicole! Welcome to YWS!

I love your username! Just thought I'd mention that.
Right, so I will begin with the rules. Don't worry, they're not too bad!
I. We have a 2:1 review to work ratio. This means that for every piece of writing that you post, you must review two other works.
II. Please do not use chat-speak. This site is here to help you improve your writing, and chat-speak can't really be considered proper writing, can it? Also, do your best to use proper grammar at all times.
III. Please rate your work. If your piece is PG-13 or below, it can be displayed on the front page! This will most likely help you get more reviews.

William Shakespeare is also one of my favorite authors! You can probably tell by my username and my avatar.
And you like acting too? I love acting, but unfortunately I can't sing for my life. :D

That's great that you're working on a novel! I've started a few but they haven't gone very far. They were really just experiments though, I suppose. :D

As for your question about posting chapters, I would say that you should definitely make a new thread for each chapter and then name them accordingly: (Name of novel) Chapter 1 part 1, or something along those lines.

I hope my answer makes sense! If you have questions about anything at all, please feel free to PM me!

Hermione: As merry as you will.
Mamillius: A sad tale’s best for winter. I have one

Thank you. :D ScarletteRose is actually from a book I read. I can't remember which one, though.

Really? That's awesome. Do you have a favorite play by him? My favorites are Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night, and Macbeth. I love your user name :D

Don't worry, I can't sing either.

Okay. Thanks for answering my question! Your answer was very informative. I am apart of a couple different writing forums and the protocol for posting is different on each. It gets confusing sometimes!

Twelfth Night is my favorite play! As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, The Winter's Tale, and Taming of the Shrew are some of my other favorites, along with R&J.

I'm glad I could help! It must be very confusing to belong to a bunch of different writing sites. But that's great that you love writing so much! You're not alone here! :D

Hey, you like Scott Westerfeld? That's really cool - Uglies is probably my favorite novel. I'm Thirteen too - You can call me Thorn. William Shakespeare? What are your favorite plays of his? I enjoy Hamlet and The Taming of The Shrew.
Winter pretty much covered all of the rules, but if you have any other questions you need answered, feel free to PM me.
