"Of course!" I yelled inappropriately loud. I blushed then corrected myself,
"I mean yes." Deidrum smiled at me and gestured for me to follow her. I stopped for a moment and remembered the a few questions that had been in my head since I had woken up in the nurse's office.
"Deidrum?" I asked nonchalantly.
"Yes?" she asked coolly.
"Why would I have died if I hadn't gotten here in 16 hours?" Deidrum looked upset at my question, but she answered,
"The Arimaspians. They are a race of Scythians with only one eye. Usually they only hunt the griffans but... Things have changed lately."
"Didn't the Scythians disappear forever centuries ago? Why are Arimmaspians a threat to us now? Why 16 hours?" I bombarded her with questions. She nodded her head.
"No, they didn't disappear. Or, should I say, they did to human eyes, but not ours." I let my eyes widen, but didn't say anything.
"I don't know why the Arimmaspians are a threat to us now. We used to have a treaty with them, but they broke it three months ago. All we know is that when a human is turned into a sprite, the Arimmaspians cannot pick up their scent unless they have been a sprite for 16 hours," Were the rest of the answers. I decided to be quiet for the rest of the way there, since I didn't want to seem too immature.
Deidrum stopped in front of a big rock wall and started saying a spell. She walked halfway through the wall, but stopped when she noticed I wasn't moving.
"Follow me, Pandora," She encouraged. I put my hand through the wall. It felt like I had put my hand in a big bowl of jello.
"It feels weird," I said stupidly before blushing and walking completely in it with closed eyes.
When I said that it felt weird I was speaking the truth. It felt like walking through jello, and took almost all of my strength (and will) to get through it. As I said before, my eyes were closed, so I don't know what it looked like.
"Wow," I said. Deidrum chuckled and said,
"That is how every one gets around here. Your roommate will teach you how to do it. Anyway, this is your room," she explained to me quickly. I looked around the room in awe. It looked like the inside of a flower, but with posters and furniture.
"You probably noticed how it looks like a flower," she paused to let me nod. "That is because, you are. We have shrunk down to size and then transported to your room." I let my eyes go round then I asked,
"What is the schedule?"
"Classes start at 10:00 AM then lunch break at 12:00 as well as free time for you until 3:00 then classes resume until 8:00. Then you can go outside and dance and sing until 4:AM then it is lights out time. You see faeries don't need as much sleep as humans, neither do sprites. Oh, and you'll be needing this," she handed me a paper with my classes in order on it. "I must bid you farewell for now, Pandora, but I will see you in spells class tomorrow at 11:00 sharp." She then waved at me and recited a spell (in which at the end I heard spells classroom) then left through the side of the flower. I set my bags on the ground then rushed to the side of the side of the flower, moved one petal over, then puked over the edge of it,
In all the excitement of finally seeing my room, I had forgotten to tell her that I had the flu.
"Gee, thanks for ruining the outside of our room," said a sharp voice. I turned around only to see the goth girl (minus the piercings tattoos and goth, huh, strange) walking into the room.
"Hi. I'm afraid that I didn't get to introduce myself when I was casting the spell on you. I'm Cleopatra."
