*Sorry Filmmaker. We need a bit of a chase before a battle.*
Skyler: Skyler lifted into the air, the green mist surrounding him once more. "I am the spirit of the oracle that rests within this vessel. I shall stay until you have a chance to evade your enemies. We have been overheard. I shall utter in your minds directions. Follow them immediately. It may be the difference of life or death. I want you to get out. I rather like this vessel." In their minds, the voice spoke, "Avoid the house I had directed you to. Reverse my directions." Then, to Sophie, it privately said, " Make an illusion of Skyler for him to inhabit. Do not use your raw matter abilities. Only an illusion."

*No problem! As a villain I have to take things in stride. My idiotic henchmen and I (as i was hoping to do) were just going to follow the directions wrong. They were so vague anyone could have made that mistake.)

Dorian perched himself on a branch high within a dead oak tree. He watched his men idiotically prance around the house they had arrived at. The directions had led them to the wrong place, or so he imagined. No one was in or around the house. Empty. Surely the powers were incapable of beating them there, so surely they had been outwitted. From his perch, Dorian was able to hear and witness every conversation and action his men were having below him. However, his little squirell ears mumbled up the words from time to time, so as he clenched his beady black eyes together, his ears morphed into larger ears, similar to those of a bat.
"-- Boss seems to be losing it. Nobody's here."
They doubted him.
"What do you expect. These people have super powers! What can one cop do to hunt them down. Detectives have enough trouble with normal people, let alone freaks like these." One of his men said.
Well not all of them doubted him. He made a mental note to promote Jacobs to officer sometime soon.
One of his men inconspiciously faded away from the others. Rolling up his sleeve, he examined his arm. On the underside of his wrist, a tattoo of a compass covered his arm. The man, after checking to make sure no one was watching, pressed two fingers into his arm and suddenly it began spinning around!
Dorian nearly fell off his branch. Luckily, squirell's had very good balance. He watched intensely as the needle on the man's arm spun and spun until coming to a halt pointing northwest. The man rolled his sleeve back down and rejoined the others.
"I think Detective Taylor was wrong. Maybe he misheard one of their directions. If they went to West street instead of to Mulroy, they would have been able to evade us much easier."
Dorian paused for a moment. West Street was the road that veered North west! The man was a powers! Hidden amongst his own men was someone else like him and he didn't even notice. He clenched his eyes and tumbled to the ground transforming mid fall, back into his human self.
"Men," he announced grabbing all of there attention. The grumble from his men stopped instantly besides the rare gasp and "where did he come from?" whispered amongst each other.
"I think we made a wrong turn veering off of Mulroy. Wilkinson," he said, grabbing the powers shoulder. "We need to talk."
The men packed up and started off towards Mulroy upon Dorian's signal. However, he held Officer Wilkinson back. The man was shaking in fear. He must have known his secret had been somehow discovered. His own life was in jeopardy.
"What was that just then?" Dorian asked, his eyes alive with inquiry.
The man choked on his own words, his adams apple bobbing in his throat. However, before he had a chance to answer one of his other men, Jacobs again, interrupted their conversation.
"Sir! I think we may still be in the right place. Look!" His arm pointing down the street. Dorian's eyes followed Jacobs finger until he saw it. One lone figure stood in the road. One lone power. The male, they had been tracking-- This was it. The power noticed the group of officers' down the street immiedately and took off running.

"Men this is it! We are in pursuit!" Dorian said, signalling to his men as he chased after him on foot, his trench coat whipping around his legs. "Wilkinson," He said, taking his eyes only momentarily off the man they were trailing, "We'll discuss this later."

Oracle: The oracle inhabiting Skylers body suddenly said into their minds, "Something has awakened our enemies intrest. I... cannot detect its identity. It may be helping us, or it may be malignant. I have also seen fit to reveal this. The Legion is becoming that which it sought to destroy. Its recruits are increasingly discovering powers. Their commingling with other powers and malign intent toward them has brought out the ancient opposite of the force that gives you all your powers. However, they are one. Remember: Bound are they that are opposite, and the boundry is blurry. One may croos it, even unintentionally. This may work for you or against you." Sophie stared, the remains of a started illusion disintigrating. "Why is it that prophecy must be so vague? And why did you not see fit to tell us this about the powers in the legion? I swear, could you just give us the damn information!" The oracle smiled. "An ancient law from before the dawn of time." "Really?" said a wide-eyed Sophie. "No. It is just from the dawn of time. Not before." Sophie shook her head. "Just tell us the next place." she said.

Sophie:

Sophie's eyes smiled but she looked tense. "I'll make an illusion for you but I need to change at least one thing." She turned to the oracle. "That rule was created by God before time." "I'll give the copy a twisted tooth on the right." She said after a thought.

Dorian

The chased went on for hours. The power was fast; faster than any person Dorian had ever encountered before. Maybe it was a speedster, Dorian thought to himself, now that would be a nice power to have. He quickened his pace, trying to minimize the distance between him and the power. Sweat trickled down his back, making his dark black hair stick to the back of his neck. The air was cold and Dorian could see his breath as he wheezed after the newest target. Speed would definitely be a power that would come in handy. His wild goose chase carried on and on, as the power veered onto multiple different roads, cutting through gardens, hopping fences, in kitchens and out back doors, anything to lose Dorian. However, Dorian was determined. Nothing could stop him. This was his job, his pride, and much to his dismay, his life. He had nothing to go home to at night. No wife and kids, no fiance, no girlfriend, no gerbil. Nothing to call his own but an empty apartment with one clock, a few measly pieces of unused furniture, a bed, and a microwave in which all his meals were made when he ate at home. He loved his job and it took up his life. He was the perfect detective-- perfectly dedicated to his work with no distractions.

OOF!

Dorian let out as he tripped over a fire hydrant. That would leave a mark in the morning. He got up, rubbing his newly tender shin. It was already starting to swell. He couldn't believe he didn't see that coming! He was too distracted by all his thinking to notice it. The power took notice of his persuarer's injury and took off running faster than before, dodging through yards, and vanishing over a row of hedges. Dorian's men caught up to him, and helped him to his feet. He hobbled away from the others, upset from his embarrassing defeat, and the fact his leg would be tender for a few weeks. Grunting he let his eyes roll back into his head, and suddenly beneath his pant leg, where bruise and blood had once been, was a thick skinned leg, covered with a thick hide much like alligator scales. Dorian made a mental note to keep his legs that way-- it would save him the injury. He checked himself over, making sure no one could tell. He returned his ankles to their fleshy form, just in case he pant legs rose. Dorain sat down on the curb of the sidewalk and pretended to pamper his wounded leg. One of his men came and sat down next to him.
"What do you suggest we do sir?" It was Jacobs. "The men are all quite exhausted. we've been out after these powers for nearly two whole days, a few are starting to complain." Jacobs was being his good old self again. Once again, Dorian made another mental note to give him a promotion.
"You're right," he said, rubbing his leg. The scales felt quite odd under his pants. "Let's call it a night. I'll expect you all back at the station though--" Dorian didn't have to be a mind reader to see that Jacobs was expecting his response and didn't like it. "-- Monday. Take the weekend off, we've been hard at work."
A smile exploded across Jacobs face. "Yes sir! I'll inform the men immiedately." He took of in a brisque walk, ready to tell the others the long awaited news.
The hour crept by as his men slowly each disembarked in their own direction. Dorian walked around gingerly on his hurt leg, making sure he was ready to continue his pursuit. Wilkinson was the last to leave. "Sir," he said as he approached Dorian from behind, "You wanted to discuss something with me?" Dorian was suprised the man was brave enough to approach him. He surely knew he had been discovered. Being a member of the legion, he knew that all powers were to be detained, not just the dangerous ones as the public had come to believe. Dorian had to give it to him, the man was brave. Most powers would have took off running once they were found out.
"Yes," Dorian said, extending a hand to the man, "good work today. I don't know how you determined we had gone the wrong way, but you led us in the right direction. Thank you." Dorian decided he had no reason to detain the man yet. Might as well take advantage of him while he had the chance. Wilkinson hesitated, but with relief shook Dorian's hand. He was off the hook, or so he thought.
Dorian felt a sudden rush pulsate through his hand into his arm. Like a breath of cold air after leaving a sauna, he was suddenly refreshed by the jolt of energy that invaded his body. He felt as though he had stuck a paperclip in a socket, and all the power from within Wilkinson's body had suddenly transferred to him. Dorian didn't know how his powers worked, just that they did and he was grateful for it. As Wilkinson walked away with his back to Dorian, Dorian began to experiment with his new ability. He imitated Wilkinson as closely as he could, pressing his two index fingers into his wrist. He waited for something to happen. No luck. Dorian bowed his head regretfully. He couldn't believe he had just let the manual to his new power walk away so easily. Oh well, Dorian thought to himself, as his eyes rolled into the back of his head, I'll figure it out Monday.
Wilkinson turned back to ask Dorian one last question. He was sure he had been spotted. The feeling of being discovered would tear him apart, and if he had to run, Wilkinson would have preferred to be able to get a head start over the weekend. However, when he turned back Dorian was gone. He turned back and continued towards home. The man could move remarkablely fast, he thought to himself, even for a gimp leg. A crow whizzed directly over his head letting out a loud CAW! As if to agree with him. Wilkinson shook his head as he watched the dark bird fly away. What a strange night.

*Just a little statement,*

Sorry to interuppt the flow but I've just went back and read through everything and where did everyone else go? Its just Sophie and Skylar, and Kinda Thomas and Sam. Hi people, please post.

ALSO: Well idk if you guys are all new to storyboards or something but one lined posts and tiny paragrapgh responses are not only really annoying but really ineffective to the story. I mean, I know all my posts are massive but seriously, we can't build off of just a few words. Beef it up please! (We want this to be a story, not a slim dialogue and assortment of actions. Add some description or something.)

ALSO Please please please please PLEASE reread what you just wrote. I have no idea how many typos there are but GAAAH! What a pet peeve! No one likes typos so let's make a minimal amount of them.

Sorry if i seem to be taking over your place Jok, i really dont want to, but ps: Where are you?

Sorry I'm being so obnoxious, just i dont want this storybook to die.

PPS: to those who i referred to being absent who HAVE left, please inform us so we can kill off your character or something instead of having loose ends or dead weight to drag around...

Sorry I'm so grumpy and rash, but i like this story let's keep it alive and make it good! :D Thanks for reading this and not just swearing and getting mad at me!
Sincerely Filmmaker

*OOC: Sorry. I don't have as much time as I want most of the time to make long posts. I'll try to hurry up a bit.*

BIC: Skyler: The Oracle stopped them at a house. "I can do no more for now. I shall return Skyler to you." Suddenly, the green glow dissappeared. Skyler lowered to his knees. "That... was draining." he said in long and slow breaths. He looked at Sophie. "I see you haven't changed much. She looked at him, an infuriated glare. "Why was I asked to make an illusion and then just blown off?" Skyler shrugged. "I'm not... well, I am psychic, but not a mind reader." Suddenly a look came upon his face. "The others..." Sophie blinked suprisedly. "That's right!" Skyler stood. "We need to look for them." He grinned. "After a night in this house." Sophie looked up at it. It was a small house, with a for-sale sign on the untended lawn. "Well, it looks empty enough." They walked inside.

The house was indeed empty. They looked around. There was a kitchen, though without food, and a small living room. A hall led to a single bedroom and a game room. There was one couch in the loving room. "I call the couch." said Thomas. Sophie looked at Skyler. He looked back. "So... I guess we sha-" She put a hand to his mouth. "Floor." she said, pointing there. Skyler groaned.

They made up the sleeping areas, Sophie moving Skyler all the way into the living room with Thomas. Later, Sophie came into her room, calling over her shoulder, " 'Night, boys!" She slammed the door shut. Skyler lay on the floor, thankfully thick-carpeted. He had his hands behind his head. THen he slept.

Thomas-"Good morning. Sleep well?"Tom asked, coming back into the living room.
"Surprisingly, yes."Skyler answered.
"There's food in the kitchen. Pizza and McDonalds."
"How did you get them?"he asked, walking into the kitchen.
"I visit casinos sometimes, so I have a healthy amount of money. My uncles can probably help us find the "others". Jake's ability is finding things, and Andrew can see auras."
"Morning"sophia said.

Thomas-"What the HELL were you thinking? We cant protect them. Don't you remember how the last ones died? Don't you remember how Anne died? Don't... don't you remember how Sarah died?" Jake was speakin quietly now. Tom could see his ten year-old cousin at the top of the stairs.

Sophie:
"Morning guys." Sophie said as she ran down the stairs. She was perfectly alert, even though it looked like she has just gotten out of bed. She grabbed a piece of pizza took a seat next to Skyler.

"What the HELL were you thinking? We cant protect them. Don't you remember how the last ones died? Don't you remember how Anne died? Don't... don't you remember how Sarah died?" She heard Jake say angrily. "Hold on a sec..." She walked over to Jake and stood behind him, forcing him to turn to look at her.

"You know what? We're not here to be protected." Sophie added as she sat down at the breakfast table. She said it defiantly but nonchalantly biting into a piece of pizza.

"What are you here for then?" Jake asked, "To eat me out of house and home?"

Sophie glanced down at her solitary piece of pizza and raised her eyebrow, saying nothing.

"And what's more, I can't have the rest of my family killed... It would just kill me inside..." He continued, but before could finish Sophie got up quietly and went back upstairs to the room she had slept in. "I'll let this chill," She said as she brushed by Skyler.

"Thomas, where did this great idea of bringing your friends here come from anyway. Out of all the people you could have chosen... I'm bewildered and exhausted." Jake pulled on his pink bathrobe, went over to the couch and melodramatically collapsed on it.

"Jake, is everything all right, I heard yelling." Andrew hurried down the stairs. "Oh dear, are you okay honey?" Andrew said, running to Jake's side.

*Either this place was empty, it was their house, they came later, or we went to Tom's. I was thinking we went to Tom's. Sarah was Thomas' mother and Jakes sister. Anne was Jake's wife. Last time they took in 'strays', Tom's parents and aunt were killed, along with the 'strays'. another thing Andrew does is he gets vague feelings about how things will affect things*

Thomas-"Jake, these people Might be our best hope. They've lightened the feeling I've been having. Something is comming, and these people can help. By the way, Skylar, you have traces of a neon green aura, yet yours is a light silver. Can you explain that?"Andrew said.
Sophie replied instead."He was being posessed by the Oracle, who was helping us escape."
Andrew nodded.

*Okay, let's just say they went to Tom's.*

Sophie:

"But for some reason it brought us here," she muttered under her breath. She was not getting along with Thomas' uncles. Earlier when she was talking to Thomas' younger cousin, they went on a tirade about how she was "corrupting his mind." Skyler gave her a look. She returned it without hesitation, but resolved to try to be more polite.

"So, what are we really doing here?" She asked. "Rumour has it, that we're here to mooch Thomas' uncle's food and corrupt their child's mind..." She gave Thomas' uncles significant looks, "But besides that...?"
