"Actually Sam, i would prefer it if you didn't distract my crew we have work to do."
"Ooh a raid!" She smiled happily.
"Maybe now shut up and get walking," i snapped drawing my pistol. More interesting than me! The cheek but i could have her getting underfoot during this raid.
"But, i mean, surely, you can't do this!"
"Yes i can now move!" I pushed her into a cold stone cell with a thick steel door. "I'll deal with you when i get back."
I slammed the door shut and dead locked the door befre heading out onto deck.
"Your fathers men in there dropship have just broken atmosphere over the target and our frigate friends aren't far behind, but i'm picking up an odd craft on the surface. I know there is a delivery to the oppoiste side of Gensha but this looks more like a personnal cruiser." Georgie sounded anxious.
"Noronian," i whispered bitterly. The Noronians were a big buisness family. They had hired some truly vicious protection from an inner rim system. Those men had killed the only other member of my crew. Doug had been my only friend on long voyages, the only other boy my age in fathers whole fleet. Now he rested in an unmarked grave on Gensha.
"Georgie land us on the darkside of the village i want to talk to the others in our merry band." A few moments later there was a dull clunk as we hit land. The hangar doors dropped open and i stepped out to see who my father had sent.
I saw the usual faces, Krysten and Georgie all ready to go, the frigate brothers and finally then men my father had sent. Grill, Big Steve and Twitch. All experience pirates, all good at what they did and all with there own battle scars, stories and quirks.
"Mikey!" Smiled Twitch, his eyebrows dancing frantically as he eyed up the rest of our group.
"Alright people we've got work to do. Three clicks east of here there is a small village. We have to go in quick and clean. Grab as much as you can get back to the ships and get out of here. Grill you'll be going with Georgie and Krysten. Big Steve your with our frigat friends and Twitch your coming with me to pay Noronian a visit. All clear." There was a deathly silence followed by chorus of clans and squeaks as everyone drew there weapona and headed for the village or the Noronians ship.

*I think Noronian junior is going to get kidnapped :)*
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.

Arka Brough

When Arka reached the canteen where the breach had occurred it soon became obvious that what had first seemed to be a missile bomardment had actually been a very unsuccesful boarding by a fairly non-descript pirate ship. The rough, but obviously very tough, body of the vessel had somehow actually penetrated the ships walls and now at least half the pirate ship jutted into one of the ships various canteens. The majority of the ship was still held together, but some small pieces of body-work had flown off on impact and one had somehow managed to impale a cadet who now stood, bleeding and crying, pinned to the wall adjacent to the door Arka entered the carnage from. There didn't seem to have been many casualties except the screaming cadet, but a couple of tables had been obliterated in the crash and a few small fires were still burning as police officers of varying rank scanned the room for any threats.
"It must have been a fairly new pirate, they always think they can take us on..." Arka heard one officer mutter to another as he carefully made his way closer to the wreckage. His gaze was fixed on it in nervous fascination the whole journey. Unfortunately Arka wasn't fast enough to be the first there.
"Speed up or get out of my way," Bunser said absent-mindedly as he pushed past Arka and made for a spot on the crashed ship that had lost the most outer body-work.
With his pistol at the ready, Bunser started poking its barrel at the remaining parts of the ships hull at until there was a hole large enough for him to poke his head through. Just as Arka expected, Bunser soon had his head through the hole and began jerking it left and right, looking for any signs of life. After a short while he seemed satisfied there weren't any and removed his head. Turning around Arka noticed he seemed dejected by his finds.
"No pirates..." Bunser started before a stick-thin pirate garbed in the usual attire exploded out of the weakened section of hull Bunser had been looking through only seconds ago and tackled the unexpecting cadet to the ground. Snarling and biting, the obviously deranged pirate grabbed Bunser by the shoulders, but before he could even drag Bunser upright three pistols went off and the pirate slumped back to the ground, dead. Bunser quickly scurried away from the lifeless pirate obviously nervous more deranged pirates might spring out of nowhere and grapple him again.
Before Arka even had chance to decide whether to comfort Bunser or mock his fear two more big shudders ran through the ship, both from different ends.
"What the..." Arka heard a couple of officers breathe as three more shudders rocked the ship in quick succesion.
"This is my plan of attack"

"Hmmm, looks more like a pin to me"

"No, it's definitely a tac"

The Noronians

"Uh, sir?"

Mr. Noronian knew that tone of voice, and he didn't like it. "What is it, Brannin?" His hand slipped into the inside pocket of his blazer.

"We have armed hostiles approaching the ship. It's difficult to tell who they are, but I believe Eisenstein may be among them."

Noronian's jaw clenched. He pulled his blaster from his jacket. "Can you target them with the ship's mounted guns?"

"That would be considerably problematic. This location allows them a lot of cover, some of it the homes of locals."

They live in dirty little hovels like that? Noronian shook his head. "We can't risk killing innocents. What about shields?"

It was silent for a moment. "This isn't good."

Evin held her breath, anxious. What was it now?

"Uh, Mr. Noronian... nothing's working."

Noronian jumped to his feet. "What?"

"All systems are down. I don't... I've never seen anything like this. There's reason to believe it's being jammed from an outside source. I can probably fix it, but I'll need at least a few hours."

"We don't have a few hours," Evin squeaked, watching the screen. She could have sworn she recognized the blonde one off of a wanted poster; they were much closer now.

Noronian cursed his own fool-hardiness. What had he been thinking? "Evin, lock yourself in the cockpit. Brannin, get out here. I need you." He checked his blaster. "They aren't taking this ship without a fight."

Evin shakily pulled out her blaster and strode towards the cockpit just as the pirates reached the ship.

Mikael

As i strode towards there ship through the cover of the hovels i could see a man desperately flicking switches in the cockpit.
Thats not gonna work, i thought smirking at my own intelligence. I had had Georgie reverse the nuclear pulse to the engine to create a short range EMP. Whatever they were trying to pull it wasn't going to work. I saw Noronian Senior and another man, obviously a bodyguard debark and aim towards where we were approaching from.
"Twitch, you deal with the bodyguard. Try not to kill him unless you absolutely have to. I'll deal with Noronian."
"Eisenstein! Stay back or i swear to god i'll blast you where you stand!" Shouted Noronian waving his pathetic blaster about.
"Oh yeah," i smirked stepping out from behind a hovel. " I don't think your that stupid, especially when you don't know where Twitch is." The mention of Twitch set his eyes crazy looking round for my accomplice.
"If you kill me you know Brennin here will get you," he smiled indicating the hired muscle.
"Oh no i'm so afraid." I smiled as Brennin dropped twitching with a taser electrode between his shoulder blades. Noronian spun around looking for the source of the dart and instantly i was on him, twin blade out and glimmering in its deathly sheen. I punch him square in the jaw before pressing the blades against his throat.
"Drop the blaster or your daughter loses her daddy."
"P..p...please don't kill me." He whispered fearfully dropping his blaster.
"Oh i'm not going to kill you," i smirked "At least not yet. Twitch come here and keep an eye on Mr Noronian here." Twitch grab him roughly from behind and whispered something in Noronians ear that made him whimper in fear. I turned and climbed onto his ship.
"Come out, come out where ever you are!" I called toward the closed cockpit.
"No. No please not my daughter." Wailed Noronian.
"Shut up!" I shouted. "You took my best friend from me, now im taking the daughter you love from you!" With that the cockpit door sprang out and a blaster bolt came flying out, almost hitting me. I grabbed the hand holding the blaster and twisted it sharply hearing a yelp before it dropped to the floor. I pulled sharply and Noronian Junior came tumbling out the door to face the buisness end of my pistol.
"To my ship now and don't try anything funny or your father dies." The only reply i got was a glob of spit on my shiny boot. Without a sound i frog marched to the ship and threw her into the cell with Sam. I strode back outside to see the others loading there ill gotten gains onto various craft.
"Well done people. Come on lets rap it up. Twitch, strip him down to his undergarments, tie him up and leave him by his ship. Someone will find him." With that i strode back onto a ship, now full of food and fuel in barrels.
"Come on girls time to go." I called returning to my Captains seat on the bridge.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.

Sam~~

So this was the 'brig' they always talked about in movies. Sam looked about, this was better than the last one she was in, that one smelled. She laid back on the stiff yet comfy cot.

Note to self take caution of the captains ego.

That reminded her, her note pad! She pulled it out of her shirt and scratched down some writing.

- Pirates are annoyed by cameras.

sSHe bit her pencap and scratched out cameras, instead she replaced it with 'me'. She was bored already in this hole. She knocked on the door for someone to let her out. She used her head.

Virandel and Emuros

The raid was successful. While Mikael had been busy with the Noronians, Virandel plundered one of the nearby farms, property of Noronian Senior. The 'defenders' were armed with a single shotgun, which the largest of them armed himself with. Virandel was far superior to him, and knocked him out with a large rock to the head from afar. The rest surrendered immediately, allowing what was essentially an entire small farm to be brought on to Virandel's ship, with some space for the other pirates' plunder as well. Virandel made a mental note to pay the Noronians back once the pirate problem was sorted.

"This is Captain Padrio," Virandel spoke into the transmitter, which was connected to Mikael's ship, "mission was a success, ready to leave when you are."

The Noronians

Noronian watched helplessly as they took Evin to the pirate ship. He struggled against Twich, but the pirate pressed the barrel of his blaster to the back of his neck. "Down to your skivies, Noronian." Twitch chuckled. "Never thought I'd hear myself saying that."

The business man scowled, trying to regain his shattered dignity. "If anything happens to her," he snarled, "I'll have you all-"

"Give it a rest." The pirate pushed the gun harder against his captive's body. "Unless you want to do this the hard way."

Noronian hesitated, then began undressing. Soon he was standing in his boxers, shivering a little in the breeze. "There, happy?"

"On the ground," Twitch barked. He was obviously enjoying himself.

The other man did as he said, and Twitch set to work binding him. Once his hands were bound behind his back, his legs were tied together, and he'd been gagged, the pirate dragged him over to the ship. He went over to Brannin and nudged him with his foot.

"Eh, he'll come around in a few hours, give or take. Bet he's got some nice weapons though." Twitch went through the bodyguard's clothes, taking anything that looked like it might be useful or valuable, then grabbed Noronian's clothing, blaster, and sword.

"I'd love to stay and shoot the breeze with you, but you know how busy the life of a pirate can be." He grinned wickedly. "Might want to check on that pretty little daughter of yours first. Seems like she could be fun to have around, if you know what I mean."

Noronian let out a muffled cry of anguish as Twitch strolled back towards the ship.

Evin was on her own. There was nothing he could do to help her now.
---

Evin tried to keep herself together as she was taken to the pirate's ship. This can't be happening, it just can't be... Dear God please say father's all right...

Eisenstein didn't say a word to her as he threw her roughly into a small cold cell. The door slammed shut behind her. The room was plunged into darkness.

The girl curled up in the corner, trying not to panic. She'd heard stories about pirates and what happened to their captives, especially the girls. A shiver ran down her spine. Just be happy they're leaving you alone right now, she thought miserably before starting to cry.

After a few moments, she got the strangest feeling that there was someone else there. Sure enough, she could hear someone else breathing. Her tears immediately stopped as her heart rate elevated.

"Wh-who's there?"

Georgie:

Lost? Completely. What were they doing? He'd tried to kidnap someone? "Come on girls, time to go." Thinking that was her cue, Georgie jumped down from the ropes to the crow's nest and stepped in front of Mikael.

"Move." He said, his voice harsh. Georgie jumped back and stepped in front again.

"What was that all about? Are you trying to get us in trouble?" She said, tapping her foot and waiting for a reply.

The Gryphon now approached Gensha.

"What's happening," Grif asked.

"The picture is still pretty fuzzy. First, we have a pirate ship which has rammed a local Spiral Guard ship. The pirates may try to take over the ship or even destroy it. It is the only guard ship in the area though, so it isn't going to be doing anything... for the moment. I've also got reports of a pirate raid on the surface of the planet. Two frigates and a drop ship have been detected, they are currently leaving the atmosphere. My guess is that they are the pirates," Adelaide said.

"Recommendation?"

"I think we should take them out. We're a day ahead of delivery and there is bound to be a reward for capturing pirates. The Spiral Guards are sure to want some payback."

"Agreed. What's on the drop ship?"

"Probably a raiding team and plunder. The frigates are on the far side of the planet."

"Prisoners?"

"The reports said that no prisoners were taken in the drop ship raid, I don't know about the frigates."

"Okay, let's deal with the drop ship first, if the frigates decide to come for us, that will be their mistake. Arm all weapons pods with plasma beams and bring us within firing range. When we're in range, we'll target the drop ship's thrusters and life support systems. That should be enough to force them to surrender."

"The drop ship has raised shields and has begun initiating evasive maneuvers. I believe they've spotted us. I'm detecting communications from the drop ship."

"Jam their communications."

"Done, but they managed to get most of the message through. The other frigates may know about us."

"How soon until we're in firing range?"

"Ten minutes," Adelaide said.

Georgie stepped infront of me a look of anger on her face.
"Move" i snarled making her jump back. Instantly she composed herself and stepped back in the way.
"What was that all about? Are you trying to get us in trouble?" She said, tapping her foot and waiting for a reply.
"Trouble? Who cares about a little trouble! Noronian owes me for what happened to Doug!" His name drew a hurt look from Georgie.
"I know alright but it was years ago. The guys who killed him are dead. Did you really need to kidnap Noronians daughter?" I was about to reply when the ship erupted with alarms.
"Captain Eisenstein, this is dropship Delta Oscar Papa Echo. We are under attack, i repeat under ..." Suddenly the signal was cut out by static.
"Ok we need to get out of here now. We can deal with our prisoners later."
"Prisoners? What you mean theres another one!" Shouted Georgie.
"No time to explain we need to move know. Send out the signal to pull out. We will regroup at Arkwald." Instantly i felt the engines throb.
"Wait wheres Krysten?" I asked worriedly.
"I'm here." Came her familiar voice from the kitchen. " I popped back for a snack and you guys took off."
"Ok lets just get out of here. Every ship for themselves. Some one give me a line to my father." I grabbed a transmitter off the wall and after some static and an odd high pitched wail i was through to him.
"Captain Blackheart we are under attack. I repeat we are under attack. An unmarked mercenary cruiser opened fire as soon as we reached the atmosphere. Our ship is fine but im not sure what happened to Big Steve and the dropship."
"Alright just get the hell back here. I'll begin assembling the armarda and get the black scorpion prepped for take off. No one opens fire on one of my crew without good reason."
"All right dad, see you at home." With that the line went silent and we continued pushing the engine as hard as we could toward Arkwald. If Noronian had anything to do with this, boy was his daughter going to suffer.

Noronians

Noronian squirmed, testing the ropes around his wrists and ankles. It was no good; he wasn't going anywhere until either a Genshan showed up or Brannin regained conciousness. And who knew how long that might take?

He watched, eyes wide with terror, as Eisenstein's ship took off, kicking up a cloud of dust. The businessman writhed again. "E-in!" he managed to get out, but the gag made his cry too muffled for anyone but himself to hear. If anything, ANYTHING, happened to Evin, he wouldn't rest until Eisenstein was either dead or turned in to the authorities.

Soon the ship was out of sight. He could only hope that the Spiral Guard showed up and took them alive. If they decided the pirate captain was too dangerous, to destroy the ship...

He laid his head against the ground with a groan. It was too much to think about right now.
---

Evin felt the ship lurch. She whimpered and tugged at the door handle, knowing it was completely futile. The girl would rather take her chances with the pirates and know what had happened to her father than spend another second in here worrying.

Minutes of waiting came down to this moment.

"Open fire!" Grif said. Beams of concentrated plasma lanced towards the drop ship. The drop ship's shields boiled, then collapsed as the salvo battered the drop ship.

"Target has been hit, looks like they've lost port shields and thrusters, second salvo firing," Adelaide said. Grif watched as the drop ship fired its thrusters to expose it's shielded side to the Gryphon. Moments later, the plasma arrived again, bringing down the shields and hitting another thruster. The pattern continued, until the drop ship's shields and thrusters were all knocked out.

"Drop ship has been disabled," Adelaide reported.

"Talk to me about the frigates," Grif said.

"Both of them have escaped. Their last recorded position showed them heading towards the planet of Arkwald. It should be a day or so before they reach the planet."

"It may not take them that long to return, especially if they have friends to meet them at a rendezvous point. Retract weapons pods and lock onto them with a tractor beam. Then plot a course for the damaged Spiral Ship. Let's see if they can take these pirates off our hands," Grif said.

Woo haven't posted yet, well here we go.

Milo and Lenala Jaymes

"Milo." Lenala tapped her brother on his shoulder. "Wake up, brother."

Milo slowly turned his head towards Lenala and blinked a few times. "I'm awake."

Lenala bent over and stared into his eyes. Just as she had suspected, they had a bright blue ring around the iris'. "I wish you wouldn't do this to yourself."

"Oh, Lena." Milo sighed, standing up. He momentarily stumbled, but steadied himself by holding onto her shoulders. "I'm a miner, I spend all day underground digging up god knows what. It's a stressful job and I need to relax." Milo popped a grey capsule into his mouth at the end of his speech and fell back to the moldy couch.

Lenala groaned and left her brother alone in the dingy apartment. She had long since escaped from his lifestyle and was much happier now, but she kept coming back to check up on him. Her life was filled with mistakes.

Outside the apartment building, Lenala hailed a taxi and was sped to the shipping grounds on the edge of the Geneshan city. She walked at a leisurely pace as she sought out her pirate craft

"E-in." a muffled voice caught Lenala's attention. She turned from her path and walked to a less visited part of the grounds. There, behind a rusted out Spiral Guard cruiser, sat a man, bound and gagged, in the dirt.

"Great." Lenala mumbled to herself. She looked around to see if anyone else was around. No one. What was she going to do with this man? He was obviously in some great emotional stress, but what could Lenala do?

She pulled her pistol from her belt and turned it over in her hands. I could shoot him. She looked back towards the man. I could leave him.

"E-in!" the man cried again in his muffled voice. Or I could help him.

Lenala sighed and stuck the pistol back in her belt. "I'm going to regret this." she mumbled to herself. She started towards the man. "Excuse me sir, are you okay?"
