I like SOME anime. The storylines are surreal, and use both serious and humerous themes. But they can get pretty odd and disturbing - if you believe anime, then the Japanese don't believe in consentual sex...

My favourite anime (heck, the only one I really like...) is Outlaw Star. Great art work, cool storyline with some great characters and (which is unusal for anime, or so I hear) good English voice actors (some say even better than the Japanese ones).

i dont think it makes alot of sense to say you hate anime, because its just a different type of art and if you looked hard enough youd probably find some you like, even if you were not a fan in general. this is probably true of most kinds of art. actually im not that big on anime, i dont get all the hype. but somebody mentioned hayoa miyazaki's films waaay back on page 2 or something... his movies are AWESOME!!! ive seen quite a few of them, my neighbor totorro is so cute!! my other favorites by him are castle in the sky and howls moving castle. i know someone on this site whos OBBSESSED with howls moving csatle, her user name starts with j and rhymes with bennafina!!

That girl with the quote i see no point in living if i cant be beautiful? I already admitted i think the story lines are sometimes OK but i will never like the art. The story's and the pictures should be kept separate. Anime is not unique, if i found a unique anime it would not be anime.

Your saying anime is not unique then I do not know whats wrong with you but this stuff doesn't look all the same. Its pretty unique if you ask me. Well one thing since my friend can draw this every little detail has to be perfect, nothing can be wrong, and nothing is all the same.

It's unique, sure enough, but they don't look like real people. I like realism in drawings- most anime people have tiny noses, gigantor foreheads, and pointy boobs.

Umm...most of the people aren't high. Well I dont think they are. Most people who draw anime put there time and heart into it, So I dont know if the would be high and putting there heart into it.
