Anyone want to take a crack at it's meaning? none of my friends guessed right

Hovering on the edge of a brink
You push me off with two firm feet
Falling like a shattered vase
Nothing to catch my dazed facade

Your eyes look hungry
In that drunken state
Hands clawing at my skin
You break me from the outside in

Whispered words make us flee
Hurried movements and shaky feet
Questioning eyes encase me
Only lust is what I see

Superficial glee
Regretful actions haunting me
More sand trickles down the glass
Making a wall of fabricated tasks

Broken promises
And fake sincerity
Eye glaze over
In a panicked flee
- Fear not for I will be there to hold you when the darkness comes.

I'll take a chance at guessing this with few interpretations.

From the overall perspective the poem seemed to be about the wrong choice of the narrator in her friend/lover.

If I were to analyze the stanzas then it seems to be telling the tale of a shallow and rotten relationship.

That's about all i figured out.
Too bad we don't live to experinece death

If I had control over the quote generator, I feel like I would put half of YWS in it.
