This poem is aimed at younger children, and may also be a song...any comments?
I wish of wishes, of wishes themselves.
Of horses and turtles, lions and elves.
Of trees and flowers, of the rocks in the stream.
Of heroes and partners, of their loyal team,
Of the sky and the clouds, of the stars and the moon,
Of voyages and adventures that finish at noon,
Of things near and far, far and wide,
Of the waves on the beach, and the rising tide,
Of jacks and aces, kings and queens,
Of things that are weird, that have never been seen,
Of books and stories, ones I’ve never read,
Or maybe I shouldn’t wish, for it is known,
Never wish wishes that aren’t your own.
Wish for poor people, to have a good meal,
Wish for sick people, to let them someday heal,
Or just wish for other people, normal like you,
A wish always, very, very, true.
I wish like having a nice day,
But, always wish something, in a good way.
I hope you learnt something, my very good friends,
And remember to wish for something that never ends.
And now I will end this, with something I say,
I wish you a wonderful day!
