A year ago today, I posted some of my 5-minute sketches that my friend Lily and I did together. Now, a year later, I'm posting a few more, some of which I admittedly spent a few more than five minutes on. ;)

This is some... er, thing-heart-thing, that's supposed to represent I can't remember what?

This was supposed to be the start of a girl downtown, but time ran out, and I was extremely frustrated with the result. It's a trash-project now.

Image

I failed on these apples. The Cutting board is too small and the knife is trash.

Image

I promise you, I was not having morbid thoughts on my birthday.

Image

And, this was so undone! I needed to make the easel lower, the pallette bigger, and perfect it, but my grandmother stole it. xD She wanted it too much?

The start of bleeding hearts-- I'll be finishing these.

Image

And, lastly! The start of a weird image. I started this over and finished it. The finished product looks much better.

:P So, you can't kill me, and Lin said to post incomplete ones!

Juneh!

1. It's sorta smallish and blurry? The visible side of the heart is too pointy.
2. Eesh, the background makes my eyes hurt. Her nose freaks me out, and her glasses look too conspicuous.
3. The knife scares me, and the cutting board is too small. The apple furthest to the right is lop-sided.
4. Juneh, I like this!!!! :D
5. The fingers are wonky and the paintbrush is too long. Nice shading, though. :D
6. These are wonky. The stem is almost invisible and the sort of creasing in the flowery parts is weird. Also, the bottom one is sort of round and non-heart-ish.
7. I like it! Though I think you need to make it a bit bigger, because it's hard to see the goblet? Also, how are those grapes staying up? You need to fix that, Juneh.

Sorry for this faul review. xD Art isn't meh forte. Good job though, overall, just the sizes and positionings of things are wonky. :D

Well gosh darn it, "Explosive_Pen" said it all. This probably won't even count as a review. Still, I would like to say that I loved the heart with the arrow in it. The tiny droplets of blood add a great effect, and the round, bouncy look the heart has is almost...dare I say it? Cute. God knows I could never do things like that. So, sorry about not helping whatsoever...I guess you should just take "Explosive_Pen"'s advice, but keep drawing! I want to see what's next.
In me thou see'st the glowing of such fire,
That on the ashes of his youth doth lie,
As the deathbed whereon it must expire,
Consumed by that which it was nourished by.

Ok, I wanted to wait until I could sit down and review each piece. So here I go!

1. The heart is to solid. The ribbon just kinda stands there all stiff. If you made the ribbon more loose it would look better. I do love the rings though.

2. The ladies arm is really stiff. It looks like she is doing the pledge of allegiance. The nose is a little weird, and it needs a background.

3. I think the two apples are fine. The one on the end looks like a small pumpkin though. I like the knife ok, but the cutting board is a little small, but who knows they come that small.

4. This one would look better if you made the arrow digging into the heart.

5. I see why she stole it! This is amazing piece. The shading is perfect, and the detail is just wow.

6. I thought these were those big baloon things in the sky. (I can't remember the names right now)

7. Post the complete one, I don't know what you were trying to do with this. It does look good right now. The flower is a bit big that's all.

That's all I have on this one right now.

keep drawing

My reality comes to a close as I once again realize that you don't love me, and even if I love you with my everything you will never care.
