Let's say you're a little kid and your parents don't believe in buying toys. Instead, they give you a wooden stick and tell you to use your imagination.

So....

*hands you a wooden stick*

Use your imagination ;)
You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself into one.

The writer, when he is also an artist, is someone who admits what others don't dare reveal.

Incendio! *swish, sets tree on fire* Expelliarmus! *swoosh, knocks brother off feet* Wingardium Leviosa! *sends dog flying in the air*

Ha ha! I'd pretend it was a wand, and I'm a wizard! (Though I'd probably not be saying Harry Potter spells, because it's unlikely that my parents would let me read Harry Potter if they don't let me have toys.)

Dang it! I was going to use it as a wand! :D

Well now it's a snake. And it's slithering around trying to find all the insects in the house to eat, because that's it's favorite food. His name is George. :)

I think I'd sit down & just start peeling the bark off the stick, pretending I lived in the forest & needed it for food. That sounds like something I'd do as a kid.

I think I'd just use it as a walking stick whenever I'm rambling, pretending I'm some traveler with a mission, rather than just a normal guy out for a walk for the heck of it.

I'd find a bedsheet and bucket to dress myself in, and pretend I'm Darth Vader and the stick is my lightsaber.
Ah, it is an empty movement. That is an empty movement. It is.

I'd make the stick my viking bastard sword, and pillage an imaginary hamlet.

I would probably use it as a paddle in my imaginary rowboat headed for some distant land. Then it would become my sword once I got there.

I'd probably use it as a pencil, find a patch of dirt, and draw something. Then, I'd use my 'magic wand' to bring it to life for an imaginary friend that'll play with me for the rest of my life. :)
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

I would probably make a tiny tent out of it with another stick or a pencil and pretend it was an elf's house. :)
Help! I can't remember if I'm the evil twin or the good one!

I would use it as a flag and I would plant it in the ground like I was walking on the moon. :D

I would first use it as a shovel and dig my self a fox hole. Then I would pretend I was in world war 1 and shoot (using the stick) anyone who came out of the house...unless, my brother came out...then I'd beat him with it :D

Let's see, me, as a child, with a wooden stick...

Ooh, I know what I would have done: paint the stick, put something on the top of it, and declare myself queen because I was the with the royal scepter. I'd probably also make myself a crown, and tried to enforce my queen-liness upon EVERYBODY. Literally everybody.
