Tell me your secret

Name: Rachel Ross

Age: 25

Occupation: Waitress

Appearance: She’s 5’9” with shoulder length brown hair that’s usually tied up and deep blue eyes. She has a slim build and, when not in her work uniform, is wearing casual wear.

Personality: Rachel is extremely happy, and is never afraid to show it. This can make her appear ditzy, but she’s actually very smart and apt at things if she applies herself. She does harbor some baggage and this makes her empathetic to other’s problems.

History: Rachel grew up in a very normal family, and felt like a rebel because she hated the box so she got out of it as soon as she turned 18. She was moneyless, and desperate when she met Richard. She was so charmed by him that she thought she was in love.

It’s been almost five years since then and Rachel’s been busy trying to survive and taking care of her young daughter.

Strengths/Weaknesses: She’s great at seeing the good in people, no matter who they are, what they’ve done, or if there is almost no good in them whatsoever. Rachel cares for people, and is never afraid to sacrifice herself for others. She’s unable to hate anyone, even if they’ve done incredibly horrible things to her.

Name: Rafael Durante

Age: 24

Occupation: Gardener

Appearace: Rafael has shoulder length brown hair and dark brown eyes. His skin is fair, although sunburnt in some places from working in the gardens for most of the day. He's quite tall for his age, around 183 centimeters. He is muscular but not overly so. He doesn't have that many formal clothes, and is almost always dressed in a regular t-shirt and baggy pants.

Personality: Rafael is very optimistic, and tries to make the best of things. Many people could call his overly happy attitude annoying, but he doesn't really care. He doesn't like sitting still for too long, and always has to be doing something. He has a tendency to be reckless when the situation he's in isn't looking good.

History: Rafael's father was Spanish, and his mother used to work for Richar Parker's predecessor. Rafael and his twin had been raised by his mother to basically become a worker for Richard Parker. He never considered any alternative career. He dropped out of high school to work for Richard Parker, and found that gardening held his interest. His twin brother doesn't work for Parker, instead starting a small company. Rafael doesn't envy his brother for not working for Parker, because he feels that his brother would work better on his own. He lives in a town close to the mansion (or as close as you can get).

Strengths/Weaknesses: He is a person who is almost always positive, and he can make other people cheer up too. He tries to see the best in everyone, and ignores their faults. He can become careless when things aren't going his way, and usually brings other people down with him.

Other: Up for love, I suppose.

Name: Maia Baker

Age: 19

Occupation: Student at a music college

Appearance: Light straight blonde hair that goes to the middle of her back. It's usually messy and it's layered. She almost never wears it up, but she does on a rare occasion. Her skin has a little bit of a tan to it and she's 5'6"

Personality: Maia can tend to be a little annoying. She has manners, but doesn't always like to use them. She doesn't care whatsoever what others think of her. She'll show up to a formal event in jeans and a t-shirt and rag on other peoples' outfits. She doesn't always like to stand out, but enjoys the spotlight every now and then. She loves to sing and was eagerly accepted into the music college she's studying at.

History: Maia has no idea what happened to her birth parents. All she remembers is a couple weeks in an orphanage and then a nice couple adopted her. She was raised in an upper-middle-class family and other than being adopted, has had a normal childhood.

Strengths: Maia loves to sing and is incredible at it. She's very smart and is excellent at improvisation and thinking on her feet. She's also always had a knack for acting.
Weaknesses: Maia has very bad arachnophobia and is a little claustrophobic. She can't stand to be teased and has a very short fuse.

Name: Brian Kent
Age: 41
Occupation: Works in a corner-shop
Appearance: Weedy. Appears to always be in a nervous sweat. he had narrow, rat-like features and a red face. Medium weight, leans more towards slim. Has thinning brown hair and worried brown eyes.
Personality: Weedy. Weasel. Would like to take money from anything and everything. He is always nervous around over people as he is convinced they mean to trick him. In most cases they do. He is the whiny squealer person.
History: Has a daughter, Lorette, and a wife, Kelly. Lorette is seventeen and Kelly is a few years younger than Brian. Brian last saw Richard Parker about two years ago.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Millions of weaknesses, not too many strengths. He is a dedicated family man and tries hard at a business that is going nowhere.
that's all I've got for positives really... the rest I'm sure you can imagine for someone like him.
Other:NOT up for love. Would like a bully, but that'll be Richard, I'm sure

Age: 31
Occupation: Weatherman (he prefers term meteorologist)
Appearace: 5'8", bony, eyes are a little too big for his face with dark grey-blue irises, dark hair
Personality: Fast talker, sharp, practical. Charming when he wants to be.
History: He moved into a nearby town 5 years ago. Miles hasn't done anything remarkable since then except appear on the local news station to deliver forecasts.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Shrewd, resourceful, difficult to bully or decieve. Good at reading people. However, he sometimes pushes the wrong people a little too far. Not the strongest or fastest person in the world.
Other: I guess he's open to a relationship of sorts, but I don't forsee it happening.

Out of curiousity, when do we plan on starting?

We will start as soon as all the spots are filled. So if you know people who might want to join, spread the word! =)

Also, as soon as I have approved each characters secrets. So if your secret hasn't been approve yet pm whenever. The purpose of approving secrets is just so that there aren't repeats between people. That could cause confusion and/or make things less interesting.

I'm thinking this should start by Wednesday at the latest, but that does all depend on if we get the spots filled. If anyone would like two characters, you can choose from those remaining.

A discussion thread has been created for this storybook for any questions/comments/concerns. Please post those there so as to not bog down the storybook with extra posts. I will be checking the DT regularly.

Character Profile:

Name: Mary-Ella (Goes by Ella)

Age: 26

Occupation: News Reporter

Appearace: Stick straight black hair that has a bluish tint in the sun. She has an olive skin tone with bright blue-green eyes, that look odd compared to her dark hair and skin. She is very pretty and has a dazziling smile that is normally always on her face because of her job.

Personality: She puts on a front for people. She may be totally ticked at you, but you would never know. She smiles to hide her emotions and she's quite good at it. She seems to be a very happy person, but in reality she hates her life. Her job sucks and her love life went down the toliet for reasons you will soon find out. ^^

History: Her mother and father were very poor and when she turned 16, they kicked her out. She lived on the streets and did horrible things to earn money to go to school. She rented her a ratty apartment and tried to make a living doing other things besides what she was doing. (I'm sure you caught my drift) She had always been pretty and that's how she first made a living, she hates that that's why she got the job of a news reporter too. Which is pretty much why she hates her job. Well, besides the fact that she hates the people she works with.

Strengths/Weaknesses: She is a bery strong person. Hardly anything can get her down (due to her past). She knows what it's like to be hungry and she knows what it takes to make a living. Her love life suffers because of her past and it's veyr hard for her to care for anyone. She was tramatized and it's hard to get past her barrier.

Other: Up for love. Only talks to Richard because she hopes she can gain more power from him. She is very power hungry.
