Idea
So, here's a random idea - seriously, don't ask why I though of it.
First post) Your character receives an invite to a dinner party hosted by a witch famous in the town of Strangeville.
Second Post) You turn up, and find it's a strange place. Then you have dinner. On a plate is a card with your name on, on the other side of the card is a word. It can be an animal, a feeling, an object... whatever. You feel strange.
Third post) After that dinner you have the ability to control that thing or/and become it.
Then you can yak about your life now with that ability ^^
From there on this is yours.

Would love it if I could have friends/enemies in this. It would make it so much more interesting. Maybe the characters could meet after in school or something, or work maybe

I call a spot and the word on her card will be 'Fire'

Name: Nathan Glennsdale

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Word found on card: Future

Appearance: http://juinny.deviantart.com/art/Hikaru-Shindo-55115370 He has black hair with bleached bangs. He likes jeans and is always wearing his lucky black jacket. he stands about 5'11.

Personality: Rebellious and outgoing. Nathan rarely takes orders well and is always doing the unexpected. He is usually lazy, but when it comes to his next story he just wont stop. Over all childish.

History: Nathan grew up in a boring run of the mill town where nothing ever happened. Because of this Nate would get all of his excitement from newspapers and radio. When he was 13 he decided he wanted to be a journalist. Just graduating college and working for a local newspaper in the city Nathan finally has his dream, if anyone would give him a shot.

Other: Up for love. His ability will be to predict future events.

Name: Caitlin Leanna Jones

Age: 19

Appearance: Here. In the image, her hair turns really long and red at the end, but I'll make it an inch after the brown is over, so that she does have some re highlights at the bottom. By the way, that dress will be the own she'll wear at the dinner.

Personality: She's very kind, but risky. She'll do anything for her friends, and is courageous and defiant. She's also easilly trusted, as in she trusts people too easily. When she's annoyed or irritated, which can happen anytime because she sometimes has mood swings, she'll give bad answers and will say things she doesn't mean.

History: She moved out of her aunt's house when she turned eighteen, and bought her own apartment. Her parents died in a plane crash when she was five, and so she stayed with her cousin, Stephanie, and her aunt, Tracey. Her parents left her much money, enough to support a good life until she gets a job. She now works part time at a cafe, near her apartment.

Other: She'll be able to control love on other people, but not for her herself.

Age: 19
Gender: Male

Appearance: Messy brown hair, blue eyes, pale, wears plain clothing (for example, white T-shirt and jeans). Average height, weight slightly below average (he doesn't have a very large appetite).
Personality: Quiet and friendly, but with a slightly rebellious streak. He has a strong sense of right and wrong which sometimes conflicts with other's own moral codes, as such he often finds himself in conflict with other people. He doesn't approve of violence, under any but the most desperate circumstances (self-defence, for example). Although often very happy, smiling constantly for a few hours, he does have 'dark moods' where his depression is so bad that it affects everyone in the room (if he happens to be around people - normally these moods cause him to sit in his room all day, doing nothing productive). He likes books, and is a vegetarian.
History: Not especially interesting. He's very intelligent, but this does not show in his grades, as he "did not find myself compatible with today's education system." His grades were good enough, however, to get him into university, studying English.
Other: Up for love I guess. He controls people's awareness of things. This basically means that he could do things like walk straight past someone without them noticing or make someone not 'see' something directly in front of them, so he wouldn't need to physically hide it.

Age: 16. 17 soon.
Gender: Female

Appearance: Found on google yet again
Personality: Fiercely loyal. She's smart and a little sarcastic, but that's just her. Oh, and don't wind her up - she's prone to outbursts where she's not afraid to say what she thinks.
History: Average girl really... ^^ Family life's fine... Oh, I'll make a brother for her later.
Other: Up for looove, and NEEDS a best friend, any takers?

Appearance: Sorry, if the picture's a bit big. Once again was found on google.
Personality: Calmer than his sister. Still loyal. Makes sure his companions are having a good time.
History: Still lives with his family, but is trying to rent out an apartment. Works in the local supermarket, at the till. Other: Up for love. And a friend.

Personality: She is always sarcastic and just wants to fit it. She's never really had a since of belonging and wants nothing more than to make freinds. She is a hopeless romantic although finding another guy is one of the last things on her mind. Guys have often tried to be with her and she payed them no mind.
History: Will be revealed in the story
Other: Up for love ^^ Though she will really have to be interested in you for you to get her attention. Love is the last thing on her mind.

Appearance: Dark, dark brown hair. Stormy, gray eyes. Not pale, but not very tanned either. Slightly below average height. Usually found wearing faded jeans and a t-shirt.

Personality: Quiet, shy, calm. Smart, strangely courageous (for a person like her). Worse than usual mood swings. Strongly loyal to her friends and family. Sometimes sarcastic. Very independent. She wants to fit in, since everyone at her school rejects her as a "nerd".

History: She grew up in a quiet town in Colorado. Her brother and dad died in a car crash when she was 9. She moved to California following her dad's death. Usually seen near the beach.

Other: Up for love, I guess. She could do with a best friend, but she's very independent. She can control any type of water, from a glass on the kitchen table to the pacific ocean.
