Hi!

Great photo! I especially love the colors. Together they look so strange but it works well. It almost looks like a painting. The mountain reminds me of my own town, since I live in a mountainous area. The lake looks great too. Which reminds me of the lake across from my street.

Oh wow. I will just assume that you are an experienced photographer or I would say that you enhanced colors and added structure. Great job! Keep on. I love it.

I'm not experienced at all actually, however kind it is for you to say. I did some minor fixing to the colours but really the landscape speaks for itself. Thank you so much for your reviews.

Hey Miriam and may I just say,

Whoa!

This is an amazing shot. Like Lily, I thought it was a painting at first. I can tell the colors have been saturated and contrasted. It gives an unnatural feel to the photo, making it look more like a painting, without detracting from the scene's beauty.

As far as editing, I would try to lighten up the water. I thought it was ground, at first, so lightening it up will make the waves a tad more visible.

Aaand, I love how the trees are in at the foot of the hills. It's so so beautiful, because it's really detailed although this shot has a barren look to it. Maybe it's the simplicity of hills against sky?

I also love the boats in the bottom corner. That adds the only touch of civilization to this photo. Really beautiful shot, I love it.

Thank you, it's really nice of you to say. I'll see if I can brighten it a little. The shot is from this dock a spent a week in the summer nearby to. My great grandmother has a memorial near there so for me it is such a powerful shot.

I love the colors in your picture. The colors of the surroundings go well with the sky. I love the color green so i love it. You should take more pictures soon. I would totally reveiw them. I love your pics, great job!

Aaaah, I went camping in the Lake District once. It was beautiful there.
Of course, it started pouring down rain on the second day, but anyway, about your picture...
As others have been saying, I *love* the colors. Especially in the sky, they're very vibrant and beautiful. It looks like a painting.
A couple little gripes:
If you're planning to edit this digitally, I agree with Juniper: brighten up the water a little. It's like there's a big dark patch right there in the middle.
Also, I'm not really sure what to look at, you know? I mean, I see some beautiful mountains on a lake with boats, but there isn't really a focal point. So maybe you could mess around with the cropping tool and see what you get.
But on the whole, it's so pretty! Hope to see more, you're a great photographer and the Lake District is a good place to photograph things.

I loooove the lake district and I do love this shot. I feel maybe a little less water and a touch more sky would perhaps balance this a bit more or instead of trying to balance them you could try and have even more water or even more sky. Sometimes I feel a perfectly balance photograph is a bit dull.

I'm not one for digitally manipulating photographs. I infact don't manipulate my photos. On occasion I've balanced the colours for competitions but other than that I don't.

I think you may have taken the manipulation on this a bit too far. Others have said they like the odd colours but I think it just looks unnatural and kind of ruins the shot a bit. You've manipulated the colours so much that they kind of look out of place and alien. I would have preferred to see more of the original colours. You said in one of your comments that the landscape does a lot of the work for you, well I think you should have let it do more. The colours in the Lake District are often amazing and I feel that, for one who loves the lake district, you have lost part of the magic in this photograph.

What I'm saying is, watch how much you use digital manipulation because sometimes leaving the photograph well alone can be the better avenue. I'm not saying never use manipulation just use it sparingly, never rely on it to make your photograph.

Of course you could be trying out some style that you want to use in further photographs. Everything apart from the framing that I mentioned before is working. I love the blue sky and clouds, the different textures of the fields and the light on the water and I love the landscape composition.

Hey!! Cy here! Hmmm... what can I say? Well, Duh! This is a really beautiful picture. It seems kind of magical, like it was taken out of a fantasy book or movie. Anyway, I really love it.

Wow. Good photo. You mixed up the colours, I see. It gives the picture a nice contrast. But it doesn't strike me as extraordinary. You need something more visually striking in order to enchance the overall quality of the picture. Even just using the rule of thirds can make a picture a lot better. Well, bye!

The filter you used makes the colours very vibrant and beautiful. Also the scene itself is very nice.
I suggest cropping it just a little bit. A teeny teeny bit. Just because it's wide and the focus point are the hills. So it stretches the eyes painfully. That's all I have to suggest though. Great job!
