So, I took over fifty photos yesterday...

Not all fifty or more are here. Just, Enjoy... xD

(I sweat to get some of these pictures. xD)

Also, what type of camera do you have? It seems really nice.


1. So, the first picture is a good shot. I'm just not quite sure what I'm looking at. Is it a line of dead grass in the lawn? It looks like a good shot, but it's like there's nothing there.

2. I love love love sky pictures. <333 I really do, especially of clouds and stuff. And I love this picture, Jon. Love it.

3. I love this kind of shots too, the ones close to the ground. And how the grass closer to the camera is blurry, and the farther it is, it isn't blurry. It's a pretty cool shot. *nods*

4. Look, it's a rose! It's so pretty too. I love how it's so detailed and you can see right to the middle clearly. Wonderful!

5. That is amazing. It's a view you rarely see, and it looks so good here. I like how you can still kinda see the rose through the leaves. It's a really good picture.

6. This is a really good shot, I like it. And it looks rusted too, which is even cooler in my opinion. Maybe go to a photoshop and play around with the contrast, so the nail stands out even more.

7. Is that a crack inbetween the wood? It looks so different from this angle. It's like a ravine or something. It's a really neat picture though.

8. That branch is very annoying there. If it had been the other way around, where the branch was clear and the area behind was blurry, I would have liked the picture more. It's just that blurry branch there.

9. It's the nail! Again, maybe work with the contrast some. But I love in this one, how the rust has lined the edges of the nail and you can see it. It looks really good.

10. It's a stick!

11. Oh, wow, I love those yellow flowers. What kind are they? They're so pretty, and they look really detailed too in the picture.

12. What is that? It's some type of cloth or something, but it looks so different in that picture.

13. It's the sky and clouds again! <3 I love it!

14. Trees and branches!

15. Is that a fallen branch? It looks really cool in that picture.

16. A rock! That's a pretty big rock. And is that a leaf sticking out from it?

17. I really like this picture. It's there, and then there's this huge crack down the middle of the picture. I like it.

18. This picture is very very blurry. Is that a leaf? It's hard to tell.

19. I love love love love love this picture. It is a little blurry, but I love it. Do you have any idea what type of flower that is?

20. This is the best picture I have ever seen taken from this angle. It's really really good.

21. Oh my goodness, I absolutely love this picture. It's so pretty and so good...<3 Great picture, boy.

22. Oh my goodness, I aboslutely love this picture too. You take really good pictures of flowers, boy.

23. I like this one too, but it seems a little blurry so you can't see as well.

24. Same with this one. It's a great picture, except it seems a little blurry towards the middle.

25. What is that thing? I'm almost too scared to ask. It's a nice detailed picture, but I have no idea what that thing is.

26. It's bark! I've never seen a picture kinda like this before. It's interesting.

27. That is one epic picture. That's all I can say. Epic.

28. tehe, I love the Coke picture.

29. I have no idea what that is either. I like how the rust lines the edge though.

30. Dude, what is that? Wow. It's a neat picture, but...what is it?

Hey there! DW here with a review just for you .

You're brilliant! Absolutely brilliant !

1. This picture was probably my least favourite out of all of them, to be completely honest. There really isn't any camera depth nor is there much of it except some grass. Maybe, if the angle was changed up a bit.. it's not a bad shot, or anything. Just simple.

2. I've never been a huge fan of sky shots but this one is very nice indeed. The clouds are somewhat misting over to the one side creating headroom and depth which makes it visually stunning. Beautiful.

3. This is the angle I was waiting for! Normal grass even looks stunning when put under such an angle and the camera is more focused up close the grass then it pans out. Interesting and beautiful .

4. I love the vibrant colour in this one . the one thing I would have changed a bit is the angle. Maybe taken it from a small side angle to give it more headroom. Other then that, flawless.

5. This one has to be one of my favourites out of all of them because it's visually brilliant. The thorns erupting give the beautiful rose a dangerous feel which makes the picture in itself a story. That beauty is often dangerous. Definitly one of my favourites.

6. This one is also beautiful. The nails are centered well and the camera is focused just enough to give it a almost faded feel. Interesting.

7. I love how this one starts off focused in the bottom left corner then fades off at it goes higher up into the higher right giving it some beautiful contrast. Wonderful!

8 and 9. These two were alright but I didn't find them as visually appealing as the others before it. Just something to ponder about .

10. Lovely! It looks as if it is a road, slowly disappearing away. Interesting indeed.

11. Take the picture so there is more room to the left and you'd have one sure fire, brilliant picture. The colour is beautiful and I much enjoyed it.

12. This one had a little bit too much stuff going on. If it was just the fabric then I might not say that but the greenery in the background and stuff took away from the visual dynamics. Just some food for thought.

13. Not as good as the first sky picture, but interesting to see the misty clouds and now a little greenery in it to distract the eye.

14. I love the angle of this shot! It's interesting and shows the arched branches of the tree. Most would think it a very simple shot but I find a beautiful complexity in it!

15. This one is very visually dynamic with the blending tones of the leaves to the branch. It gives an interesting bird's eye very and I like it a lot.

16. Not my favourite. Maybe if it was a different angle but when I looked at it it just looked like a rock to me and not a piece of photography.. Still interesting concept.

17. I LOVE this one! Sorry for the all-caps but this one is brilliant! The crack looks almost like a road as well and the way it is focused in at the beginning and fades out.. brilliant, truly.

18. If this one was focused more on the leaves then I would have found it more visually stunning but it was very unfocused. Not one of my favourites.

19. And now we have made it to my favourite! This one took the cake for me because it was all focused around those small little petals, as if everything was blurred around it just so you could see the complexity of the small, fragile plant. I definitly love this still-life.

20.This one is very visually dynamic in more ways then one. The contrast of brown and green is stunning as is the brilliance in focusing! Oh dear, I sound like a kid in a candy shop with all these pictures. You have some talent, my friend.

21. I like how the petals are more focused then the actual plant but I think I would have prefered it if there was more headroom for the plant. Other then that, nice .

22 and 23. Interestingly enough, I found the second one nicer then the first. The bigger usually isnt better to me, but in this case it was as the blue contrasted so brightly. Amazing!

24. The picture itself was a little unfocused. Not one of your best. The colour is nice though.

25. I like this one. Simply put, I can't really give you a reason why I do, I just.. well I do.

26. Not as visually dynamic as the one with the crack in it. Maybe tilting the camera furthur so the bark looks more stretched out and enlongated.

27. This one is very fresh and awe-inspiring in that . It's simple but reminds me of the beginning of spring and is nice in it's simplicity.

28. It's a coke can... that's really all I can say XD.

29. I'm loving the headroom in this picture. Very fancy.

30. Beautiful colours! The green is so vibrant as it zig-zags throughtout. Interesting choice and I do love this one. Oh and it's rope, I'm guessing XD.

Basically that's all! Wonderful work! Beautifully taken and I definitly give you props for a job well done.

Hey Jon! Good to see some photos from you.

So, I'll try to hurry through these because I need to eat dinner. =P


The first one is pretty bland. We're just looking at lots of grass; there's nothing for our eyes to be drawn to, and the coloring is pretty weak.

The second one of the sky is not too exciting. I see a wisp of a cloud, but there's nothing really more too look at. There's not much contrast between the blue and white-- so it's pretty not too exciting.


This grass picture is slightly better. I would like it more if the blurred part of the grass towards the front was more in focus than it is.

I don't like the rose much. The grass bits in the background are too clear, and they give this a cold feeling. The rose is diseased-- which is fine, because it's nature, but you have the rose drop dead in the middle of the photo, which easily becomes a boring angle.

In the next, I like how you can see the thorns clearly, but it's distracting. The stem is pulling our eyes up, but when we get up there, we see the white board thingie and we don't get anything rewarding up there.

I do like the focus in the next one [of the wood] but it's guiding our eyes to nothingness.

Same for the next! You have us looking at something, but our eyes are wandering, trying to find the best focus.

The next one is just... not good. You have the branch in the foreground and it is out-of-focus; the ground is unattractive. I can't tell what we are supposed to be looking at-- not an awesome photo.

The next is pretty bland. The knob or nail or whatever that is is pretty not attractive; again, it's hard to find a focal point in this.

For the photo of a rake, I think more of it should have been sharper/in focus. It comes off as a blur this way. ^_^

Tomato flowers! [yuck] Not an impressive shot; I think the photo could have been good had you used a macro mode on this to focus more on the flowers and leaves and effectively blur the background.

Your knee? Psh.

This is a better picture of the sky, but it's still not that interesting, provided that the sky is often much more dramatic than that.

Not an interesting shot of the trees; Our eyes have a tough time finding a focal point.

It's also hard to find a focal point in the debris...

The rock is dead in the center of the photo with even focus all around, making the shot pretty uninteresting.

This next photo is too close and out of focus [macro modes are wonderful for closeups]. It's a bit hard to tell what this is.

The leaves and grass are out of focus; can't find anything interesting to look at.

Clover flower! Use a macro mode for these type of shots; you really want your subject in clear focus

The grass and all is distracting, and there doesn't seem to be a main focal point of this.

Cool yellow flower thing. A bit out of focus and fuzzy, but still cool.

I love the blue flowers.

The pink flower could be sharper, more in focus. I don't like how it's dead in the center; it's a typical angle, and in artistic photography you want an angle that is more unique.

Rust? Can't tell what's going on here.

The tree mold is decent. I like how as it goes up the focus fades.

The seedling could be sharper; it's a decent shot, but it's not awesome.

Coke can? Not so interesting.

Not sure what the next thing is...

So! Remember, in [artistic] photography, you want to give your audience a focal point. Try some interesting angles, dramatic contrast and other cool stuff.

You really *do* like shreding my work, don't you? Haha.

Well... I do admit that shredding is fun sometimes...

But, psh. I wasn't being negative. It's constructive criticism. I was being honest. To be honest, it really looks like you were having fun with the camera rather than trying to take artistic shots.

True, true. But while it's fun it does take concentration.

It sounds like a decent camera (9 MP is pretty good for higher resolutions =D). What make and model is it? If it has advanced modes like PASM, try playing around with some of those. Sometimes they make even the simplest shots look incredible.

But, then again, it's also in composition and what the focal point of the photo is...

Fantastic, even though I am not a photographer, i think that these photos are brillant. I like some more than the others, but overall Brillant. I really like the angles that you shot the photos in. My favorites are:

The fabric type of matieral, the wooden planks (angling, I think is great) and the grass, and rose.

May I ask what type of camera do you have?
