Osprey

I'm really happy with how this one turned out. The beak is a tad too long and slender, but not bad for a first try, hm? :D

I hope this means my art block is over. *fingers crossed*

Yeah, my main quibble would be with the beak. It is quite a bit too thin and if I look at it for too long, it starts looking really weird and kind of stuck-on-looking, you know?

It's quite accurate to the picture, although the picture has more of a dark/pale contrast whereas yours has more of a warm feel all over to it. The right wing (my right) has a slit going through it, making it look as though it's coming away from the body.

Fix the beak, make it shorter and fatter and stubbier, and fill in the wing and the whole picture'll be great.

Oh wow, this is extremely impressive for an Oekaki. I'm terrible using that, and I'm always so impressed by anyone who can do things like this with it.

Though it's obvious and already pointed out, the main problem lies with the beak. I don't think it's immediately noticable however, until you compare with the source picture or think about the anatomy of a bird while looking at this one. Immediately, anyway, I think the portrait looks fine, until you look into or notice the finer details of the beak that are off. Which is something to be proud of, I think, to have only such a slighter error!

@Wooster - The slit is actually a glimpse of the dark back feathers, only I forgot to go back and make it look feathery. Oops. ^^;

And I like my warmth; yes I do. It's more eye-catching. :3

@Clo - Thanks. I've been using this particular oekaki for the past four years, so I've gotten very comfortable with it. Truthfully, I'm more comfortable using the oekaki than I am Photoshop, Open Canvas (which is my next favorite after oekaki), or other imaging programs. XD

Love this picture! It's so realistic.

The eye, however makes it have a distant look and---in my opionion--takes away from the realistic look. But it may be just me

The beak looks quite nice, even if it is rather long and thin. I like it. The colours, they're amazing. They blend so well with one another.

The one wing looks like it's cartoonish, like the bird is holding something. Hard to explain. Perhaps just ignore this part.

Not a helpful review, I know. But a goldstar for you. I loved it

Oh, wow. You should be happy with this! This is actually really pretty.

As TL G-Wooster pointed out, the beak does look kind of weird. My nit pick with it is that it sort of curves at the end in a odd way ... almost like the way an old branch twists. It looks sort of odd.

but In all, it's actually quite beautiful. I like all the colours, and how the background seems to fit in nicely, and isn't anything too extreme that would draw the full attention to the background. Good job with this, though.
