What do you have to say about the world-famous documentary, Super Size Me? To me this is quite possibly the best film ever created, and I have watched it at least a dozen times. The whole concept behind fast food that you would almost never know.

If any of you saw how they make McNuggets... Ugh, that's disgusting. They just throw in the entire chicken and make the nuggets out of any piece that gets chopped off the, usually deformed or old, chicken.

Could you find the McNuggets on this chicken?

Neither could we.

Well, we have had this discussion before on these boards and I probably speak for all of us when we say, "DISGUSTING." Although I'm not all for it, I do enjoy the occasional Happy Meal. :) Now, who can pass up a free toy? HA! Not me...*shifty-eyes*
The documentary is quite degrating...
I probably could never watch it more than once or I'd force myself to puke. But yes, it does really show you all of the things that go into the making of a patty, or McNugget for that matter which I find very...unsettling.

I could watch this film all day long, over and over again. Morgan Spurlock is so entertaining and creative in the making of this movie; I just can't get over it. If this wasn't disgusting let us all remember that finger in the old lady's soup at Wendy's.

"Have it your way."

Speaking of smashing the fast food industry I really want to read Fast Food Nation. I hear it is extremely detailed, even more so than Super Size Me. Although, I don't think it could be more entertaining than Morgan's masterpiece.

On the note of Fast Food Nation, have any of you read that book? It is probably one of the few non-fiction books I will ever want to read and I just can't wait to get my hands on it. If anybody has read it, I wish to know all about it! :D

As I remember, that ended up a fraud. The lady put that finger there to try to sue Wendy's.

I watched it once in my debate class, and it was disgusting, although quite funny. "McGas" and "McNausious" (sp?) were my favorite parts of that movie. But I do still enjoy fast food, so....

Also, Morgan Spurlock has a whole new series now, on FX based on that principle. Its really good. Like, they had one where he and his fiancee lived 30 days as minimum wage income workers/families. Another one where a "Real" "redblooded, republican American" lived 30 days as an American Muslim, etc. Its a really good show.

Oh, I thought it may have been something like that.

I have read Fast Food Nation and that is a really good book. I have seen Super Size Me at least 3 times. Because of the book and movie I will not eat at fast food places.

I never liked McDonald's, and it's obvious that fast food is bad for you- although, I must say I never suspected it to be that bad! I haven't seen the movie yet, but I may see it sometime.

You must! Morgan Spurlock is not only informative but entertaining. I get my weekly dose of that film, I'm not kidding. It's like an addiction, almost as much as fast food.
