Hope you guys don't mind me bringing it back from the dead. I just kind of forgot to post ... sorry... Oh, yeah, it's pretty bad, but I'm also pretty tired right now, so...

Erome

"Kill him," she growled to the guards. "I'm going to rip those freaks to shreds." She started forwards but the smooth voice of one of the guards stopped her.

"Seeing as your other plans to 'rip those freaks into shreds' haven't gone too well, I hope you'll agree that we made need his valuable information when this plan fails also."

She paused, and then whipped around to snarl at this arrogant guard. Her reply was interrupted by the weak bleat of the body-switching prisoner.

"If you think I'm going to tell you anything, then you might as well just kill me now. You won't get one single word from me. Not a-"

Erome reached out and knocked him as hard as she could around the back of his head, silencing him. Then she glowered at the brave, young guard.

"I'll tear them limb from limb with my own bare hands, and this plan will not fail."

Heron

She stared at the others in the group. They were all sending either hostile or anxious looks to DJ.

"Okay," she said in a small voice. They all looked at her and she felt the need to explain herself. "He'll be okay. There's nothing wrong; it was just some freak thing. He'll be fine." Saying this made her feel a lot better, more confident that this was true.

She saw no one was willing to untie him, they were too busy staring incredulously at her. DJ seemed more uncomfortable than surprised, as though he didn't believe her words. With a deepening blush at all the unwanted attention she was receiving, she made as if to untie him herself.

"Wait, Heron." Ada stepped forward. Now she became the centre of attention, looking slightly uncomfortable as she realised this.

"I'm not risking it," growled Mikael. "I'm not going to let him tear my throat out just because he wants his poor legs untied. No. I'm not suicidal."

"But-"

"Hey-"

"Um-"

Heron, DJ, and Aylen both started to protest.

Then Ephraim, who'd been looking off into the distance, started to speak anxiously. "Yeah, guys. I think we'd better decide quickly, 'cause you remember those guards? Yeah, well, they're all coming towards us, and that guard woman looks pretty pissed off."

Yay! It's back! :D

DJ

The guards were coming, and quick. He had to make his argument and make it now while he still had a chance. "Well basically the way I see it is, carrying me definitely hinders your ability to keep moving. So either you can untie my legs and let me walk, or you will eventually just end up leaving me somewhere. But leaving me to the guards isn't smart either, now is it? Because what if I am insane, or a freak, or a monster? If I am, then who says I won't just turn on all of you and help the guards hunt you down."

After his long-winded argument, some of those against letting him walk seemed to at least be reconsidering things.

"You may want to decide quickly," DJ said as the guards neared.

"Fine, just untie him! But if he tries to pull anything, he's in trouble," Mikael shouted.

Heron quickly cut the rope around DJ's ankles and helped him to his feet. He smiled at her and thanked her.

"Let's go!" someone shouted.

The group then started running in the opposite direction of the guards, all hoping that some solution would arise quickly and they could be sure to get away from the guards.

Dudes, I have like no clue what has been happening... so yeah...^^

Ephraim

"Yeah, guys. I think we'd better decide quickly, 'cause you remember those guards? Yeah, well, they're all coming towards us, and that guard woman looks pretty pissed off." I said.
Everyone turned to look.
DJ was untied and we ran on.
We were still in the sewers (or are we?), dirty water splashing around our feet.
"Guys? How 'bout we get out of the suers and onto the street?" someone asked (anyone take credit for it).
"We're in the middle of nowh...".
Just that moment a horn honked.
"Well, that sounds like... people...", someone stated.
"Yeah. The guards cant chase us like lunatics in a city! lets go!"
We stopped racing under a manhole cover with light leaking through the holes.
I climbed up the wall bars and pushed the cover open, blinking into the sunlight.
Life isn't fair,
its just fairer than death,
that's all...

Oliver

Oliver groaned as his eyes flickered open. The hard cement floor of the sewer pressed against his chest unpleasantly; apparently he was lying on his front. He tried to push himself up, but his hands were bound behind his back.

"The freak's awake. Should we do like what she said and-"

"Nah. She's not in charge of everything; our orders were to bring 'em back for questioning and further experimentation. She's out of line."

"Yeah, but when she comes back and he's not dead..."

"We'll deal with it."

Oliver tried to say something, but there was something obstructing his mouth. "Mmmf!"

One of the guards pulled the strip of tape from his mouth. "Start talking, kid. How did you and your friends escape?"

"I don't know, I wasn't with them earlier," Oliver said truthfully. Really it was fortunate that they'd captured him instead of one of the others. He knew the least about what was going on, so if he did break-

WHAM! The boot of the guard connected hard with his side. Oliver curled up in pain, eyes watering.

"I asked how did you and your friends escape?" he growled.

"I don't know-" he began, voice hoarse with pain.

WHAM! "START TALKING!"

Oliver gasped and shook his head. "Don't... know anything!"

One of the others sighed and tossed the guard his taser. "That ought to make this easier."

The captive's face went white as the man lowered the device towards him. "You feeling more cooperative?"

Oliver didn't say anything.

A moment later his scream rang out through the tunnel.

Oh, poor Oliver! Arya, I sorta twisted your post. :( Hope you don't mind.

Heron

They ran through the field, which was horribly muddy from the torrential rain it had received an hour or so ago. The sun beat down hard on them as they spilled and skidded in the impossible mud.

"Guys? How 'bout we get out of this field and onto the street?"

"We're in the middle of nowh..." Ada panted.

A ca horn sounded. They all paused and looked up at the wall of trees and realised they must be hiding a town or something.

"Well, that sounds like... people..."

"Yeah. The guards can't chase us like lunatics in a city! let's go!"

Something whizzed past Heron's ear, stirring her short hair. Mikael cried out and Heron turned to see him trip and fall in the mud. Something flitted over him. Like a bullet, or a dart.

"You okay?" Mckenzie helped him up.

"I just tripped, okay. I'm fine," he snapped, sounding a little embarrassed.

"Yea, well, lucky you. If you'd been standing you would've been it by a tranquilizer dart." Aylen pushed him and Mckenzie to get them moving again.

One shot past Ada and she cried out in surprise.

Someone's going to get hit, Heron thought. We're going to drop like flies and then they'll take us back and we'll never see the light of day again, and...

An idea struck her.

She stopped and faced the guards who were gaining on them. She glared up at the bright sun, remembering when she'd turned the light of the fire off. Yeah, a fire wasn't really comparable to the sun, but it was worth a go. If the guards couldn't see them then they couldn't fire at them.

DJ caught up to her. "Heron - come on!"

She ignored him and squeezed her eyes shut. She trembled and beads of sweat appeared on her face.

"Hey, what are you-"

Heron felt the light dim. She didn't know how, but she did. It was a sort of lessening of warmth against her skin. She strained, feeling like she was pushing against a tremendous boulder. And then everyone cried out.

She opened an eye and saw the light quickly fading, as though night was descending already. She managed a smile before she came over all weak. DJ caught her as she slumped.

They were safer. Sort of.

DJ

Catching Heron with his hands still bound in front of him turned out harder than he expected, but Heron was light so he was okay.

"A little help?" he asked.

Ephraim came and picked Heron up and they continued on. Soon they were on a street of what turned out to be the outskirts of a city - busy with confusion on the loss of daylight. After crossing the street and darting safely into an alley, the group had time to stop and rest for a minute.

"Now what?" someone asked.

Ada

Once they were in the alley, Ada let herself lean back against a wall. She was exhausted, and the thought that their day was not even close to being over was even more tiring.

"Well, we really can't just wander around the city, especially not in the dark." someone else offered up. "We look suspicious enough as it is."

Ada closed her eyes and let her mind rest. Her mind had other plans though. She was quickly transported into a vision of the future that luckily did not involve being dragged back to the Asylum. Instead, she saw their large group splitting up and leaving in seperate directions. As soon as they had left the alley, a storm of guards burst through the trees and looked about. They had no clue where they had gone.

Ada gasped for air, as if she had been holding her breath, as she came back from the vision. "We need to split up," she managed to say.

"I don't think that-" Mikael started.

"No, I just saw, the guards are coming and if we don't split up they will surely have us." she insisted.

"Okay," DJ said. "How should we split?"

I hope not. I really like this one. Unfortunately, I'm not sure there's much I can do right now. I might make a post of Oliver passing out, and then have these guards catch up with the other 'freaks'.

We need direction... right now we just keep stalling by running from the guards. Maybe we need to plan a rescue of Oliver. Or find a way to disguise ourselves. Or maybe even figure out some big breakout plan to destroy the Asylum for good.

I don't know, just ideas.

Well, I'd really appreciate it if Oliver was rescued. he's still being tortured.
