Wow, I just love this picture. The orange sky goes great with the darkened trees and fog. Bravo! Did ya say this was a first attempt, because its very well taken. Just enough of everything to make it a complete picture. :)
Nothing bad to say about it, so i know this isn't much of a critque, but I just wanted to drop some props. This is really good!

My reality comes to a close as I once again realize that you don't love me, and even if I love you with my everything you will never care.

This is a really good photo, especially if it truly is your first attempt at serious photography.

I really, really like what looks like a broken down post or stake that held up some kind of fence, at the bottom, little to the right, right before the downhill cliff. Not sure if that's what that is??? But still looks cool, especially with the background fog, trees and sun.

The only criticism I could really say about it, is that on the left side, in the middle foreground, it is somewhat grainy, but it is a very little somewhat :D

This was a really nice ambivalent picture, I think you captured it pretty much perfectly. I felt like I was there and it was very easy to feel like one was there looking at this picture

Good work 8)

You should review a couple pieces too, before submitting again. Its a rule of theirs for newbies, which is understandable...really nice work again though.

Hey Nicole!

Nice work you have here.

Just a few tips you may want to know:

~The picture is too big. Re-sizing it'd be a good thing.

~Two thirds rule (2/3). A photo should be divide in 3 parts. Two for the land/ocean or whatever it's on the lower part or two thirds of the upper part ( air/sea...whatever it is). This rule is usually applied to the normal photos ( landscape, portraits, with people and landscape and such...) but never to macro photos.
In this photo, you have a nice proportion. (:

~ The photo is not balanced. There is too much action on the right side of it. That action makes our eyes move to the left side finding nothing in it. It's a bit plain on the left side.

~The photo is a bit blurry. Not good.

~The colours are to... urg... I don't know how to express myself. To grey but with a nice touch of soft lights of orange and grey. It's really lovely.

That was a great shot!

Hope to review more works of yours! :D

Best wishes

Shauni^^

Wow! And this is your FIRST attempt! Magnifico!!!!

At first glance it struck me as a painting, lol. But after a better look, it became obvious it was a picture. The color and balance of the picture is done very well. The post does blend in, but the pic would have been better without it.

Wow. This is so cool.

The only thing that renders it is that it is way too big. It takes awa from the picture when you have to scroll around to see the entire picture.

I loved the fog in the picture - so cool looking! Where I live, if you go to a certain park, it'll fog if it's cool enough. That's what it kinda looks like.

Great job!

Hey!

Wow, this is a gorgeous photo!

The positives-
1. The sky is so pretty! It is peach like it colour, has the fluffy texture of candyfloss...which is really nice.
2. The blackness of the trees definitely adds some drama to the piece. This looks great against the fluffiness of the sky.
3. The mystical fog rising from the trees looks great.

The negatives-
1. Maybe on a photo editing program, you could decrease the image size. It would just make it that bit easier to look at and easier to admire the beauty of the image.

Well done, I'm sorry for such a short review, but i hoped this helped at bit.
You have a talent for spotting gorgeous scenes, so keep it up!

Wow this is really nice for a first attempt. :D

The image is very big so I would look into getting a good editing program, which will also come in handy in the future with other photos.

I think you did well a catching a breath taking scene. The skyline blends beautifully with the landscape.

There's definitely potential, keep posting.

I really like the atmosphere of this picture,
you know, the fog and all that.
I´d just wish it would be a bit...damn..I´m
not shure this is the rigth word..well: a bitmore sharper...
but I suppose it´s just because of the camera or something,
never mind ;)
