"Okay, guys on the plane I hid from you a single gadget, they required more work," I said and emptied my bag out to reveal several average looking items.

"Jak, for you, I give you this cell phone," I said and handed him a black berry.

"This is cool and all, but I don't need to plan my day, I need to kick some butt," Jak said.

"And so you will. See the phone does not work like a real one, only can call people. And shoot the." Jak's eyes widened at this. The camera on this can shoot a bullet, when you, and only you, I made it finger print sensitive, take a picture. It holds in total five shots, and I can re fill it if needed."

Jak smiled and pocketed it. "It may not look at good as a pistol, but it close enough."

"Now Cassia, here is your weapon," I handed her one of those make up mirrors, with makeup in it.

"I don’t really need to wear make up on the mission," Cassia said.

"Okay, but this is no ordinary make up thingy. The different colors activate the different weapons I installed. You have poison dart, tranquillizer, tazer, laser, and finally, a knife. Just press the slot, and it activates it. I wrote the color to weapon sheet down, it is behind the mirror, which can be taken out."

Cassia nodded, and I went over to Rob. "For you I have these sun glasses. And before you say it, they double as night vision and inferred goggles. Along with the ability to zoom in on things. All you have to do is press the button on top of the right lenses, and it changes the setting. The original is regular, followed by night, then inferred, then the cycle continues. To zoom in, press down the button on the left lenses. Got that?"

"Yeah," Rob said and slipped them on.

"Now for you Elmira, I have an iPod," I said and gave it to her, it was an IPod touch.

"So what else does it do?" she asked.

"Well this machine does two things, other than play your music. The first thing it does is there is a special app on it, it is called Sound grenade, except this version is enhanced, when you play it you need to have the head phones plugged in, and you must wear them. These will block out the pitch which will render anyone with in hearing range, unconscious, but if you wear them, you will be fine. The other thing it does is eavesdrop, go to the Listener app, and just aim the devise at the people you want to hear, and you will up to seventy-five yards away," I explained. Elmira nodded.

"What do you have though?" asked Jak.

"I got this," I said and held out an asthma inhaler. "It as multiple uses, depending on the carriage I use. One emits knock gas, another lets out a poison dart, and a last one allows me to breathe under water, or in gassed areas," I said.

"Okay, now that we are done here, time to really head out," Cassia said and we took of.

"Jak, after the mission I got something I want to show you it could come in handed later,” I said as we walked down.

"What is it," he asked.

"You'll find out," I said and we looked over our transportation. The city we were in had terrible traffic, so we were traveling by bike, and here they had carriages for it. Cassia and Elmira loaded i one, and Jak, Rob, and I loaded into another.

Jesse

He rolled his eyes and shrugged a little, "Funny, coming from you, Diana. Why don't you at least make an effort to get along with your team mates?"

"Jesse..." Ryan said warningly.

Jesse held up his hands, "Hey, I'm just saying, is all. Sure, Grey Alpha don't have the friendliest code names, but they're the best America's got, aren't they? The CIA's favourites? What are the odds that they'd be double agents? Probably lower," he said, "Than any of us being double agents."

Devon glared at him, "Are you trying to say something, Jesse?"

He shook his head, "Just that they're probably on our side." He smiled at him, "I wouldn't dare suggest that any of you are the enemy, least of all you, Devon. You're too worried about everyone else being against us."

He seemed taken aback by his comment, where had the sudden change in attitude come from? "Besides," Jesse said, "They only know what the real me looks like. That's worth virtually nothing, given how often I change what I look like on assignment. So, they don't really know that much at all." He shrugged, "I'm sorry, for what it's worth. I didn't really think about what I was doing."

I was called Stryker and I walked around wearing shades and suddenly I had a mother again. I didn't like that. It violated her memory, it creeped through my spine and rang every nerve it could find. I could only console it with feeble jokes and promises of death. I'd not live through this mission, not if I had my way.

It made me feel guilty to see how much trouble they were all going to, how hard they were all trying to stay alive. But what did I have to live for? It was selfish true but I wanted this mission into full swing. I wanted the andrenaline of a fight to course through my veins and help me forget.

I was riding a carriage with the boys. I didn't feel as comfortable around them as I did the two girls but that was okay. They were still cool people and I was falling back on bad jokes and moody silences now. I broke one of the latter with the former:

"So Will, what's it like being an asthmatic?" I elbowed him in the side and grinned, glad that he could see it didn't reach my eyes. Those shades were good for something at least. I liked Malcolm. He was probably a double agent but that didn't matter, he was living a life which was more than I could say for myself.

"And what's Jak going to do? Ask the bad guys if they mind him taking their photo?" I snorted. Sure it was a cool gadjet but honestly, wasn't there something more original? One mission they'd given me a watch with a laser in it but that was a pain. I almost shot it at my eye while trying to check the time. That wouldn't have been a nice way to die. I'd have probably survived and never lived it down. Fortunately I missed and hit the guy who was about to clobber me over the head instead. Just my luck. The whole team thought I'd done it on purpose. I'd got a sound pat on the back for that eprformance. I should have died.

I sat across from Cassia and streched out. I could finally relax around her.

"Do you think this will be difficult?" I asked, glancing at her. She shrugged.

"Yes. Probably no different than any other," she replied. I nodded.

"I guess what I meant was are you really ready for this?" I asked. Cassia looked at me and smiled a little.

"I know what you meant and yes I am ready. I'm always ready," she responded. I looked away.

I could always tell when people were lying to me, but Cassia was a different story. I just hoped she was telling the truth. I knew that she really needed to be on her A game. We all did. This wasn't going to be some walk in the park and Cassia was my best freind. I don't think I would be able to take it if something happened to her. I knew this was what it took, to lose people, for what we were doing, but still.

I looked at Cassia again. She was staring out the window. I closed my eyes. I wouldn't let anything happen to her. I wouldn't let it. I just wouldn't.

"That's a slightly bad thing, Jesse. We need to think, but not about double agents. Of course, they exist, but when the time comes we can handle that. Right now, we need to focus on what lies ahead." I gave a meaningful looked to each of my teammates. "Now, can we get along now?”

I took the silence as an affirmation. Or the opposite.

Diana

Diana scoffed inwardly. We needed to think about the future, not about double agents? Double agents affected the future! How could they possibly know anything about what the future holds if there is a double agent?

But Diana said nothing. She glanced out the window instead.

"We're about to land, I think..." she said slowly. The plane dipped downward. "Yeah, we are."

Diana ignored Devon smirking behind her. "Right..." she said, rummaging through her equipment sack and pulling out the bag of earpieces and microphones. "Put these on, and don't take them off til we are safely back in the US. That's our most important piece of equipment right now..."

Diana waited while the team put on their communication gear.

"Other than that, I think we should travel light until we know what we are doing. If you would feel naked without a weapon, I have some, but otherwise... " Diana trailed off vaguely.

Ryan frowned. "We should be armed..."

"Really?" countered Diana. "You think so? We are not yet suspicious to the government... We are a group of thrill-happy American teenagers. The longer we stay here, the more willing I will be to arm you, but a spy's job is to remain unnoticed and portable. If you are carrying a gigantic rifle, do you honestly think you can run quickly enough if you are caught? I doubt it."

"Besides," smirked Diana. "I stick to my previous conviction: We should keep our association with Grey Alpha to a minimum. If they are double agents, do we really want to display all of our weaponry to them from the start? They won't attack us the day of our arrival. Grey Alpha will want to know how much we know."

Diana caught Ryan frowning at her, but Diana did not particularly care.

I hate it when others are right, it means I was wrong. The only consolation I had was that I would most likely learn from my mistakes. As usual. Girls are right all too often, too much for their own good.

Mentally shaking my head, I let the thoughts pass. It was time to take my own advice. Fighting already wasn't a terribly good sign and I had to chose not to make it worse. Lord knows I wanted to challenge Diana to a duel (we spies aren't particularly sexist) but I didn't. She was right and I really needed someone to inform me of that once in a while.

Pulling a ski hat over my head, I grinned at my team, "Zall ve go?"

"Never again, Ryan. Never again." The complaints came from all around, as did the rolling of the eyes.

"Okay, okay. Is everyone ready?" Nods.

"Then let's move out."

I sat on the seat next to Malcolm as his gadgets were jokingly degraded by Rob, when he addressed me I spoke back back.

"hey the bad guys don't have to know I'm taking their picture" I said faking a smart look.

"yeah well they'll probably notice when a bullet rips though them" Malcolm said thoughtfully and it was hard to tell if he was joking or not. A second later me Malcolm and Rob were clutching are ears painfully before Cassia voice spoke through are com devices.

"shut up you idiots I can here you mouthing off about the mission from two cars ahead, do you want to be cut down by china secret service guess what I don't" Cassia finished and I rubbed by ear. In the silence that followed I started to think about how my introduction to my counter part had gone. Since I couldn't be bringing any one that might need coming back to the four of ours apartment I had been given a average apartment ten blocks away from the Russian embassy with an escape route that led their, if I needed to escape however the Russian embassy wold be the last place I'd go. When I had gotten to my apartment their had been a surprise. A very expensive suit had been bought for me with an invitation to a dinner party in the heart of the city. After this investigation I would have to go other wise it would arouse suspicion. Still the question was still in his mind who had bought him the suit.

"Jak" Malcolm said for a thrid time and I realised I had been staring into space.

"we here yet" I said still a bit dazed.

"no were all out of are rides because we wanted to walk, what do you think" Cassia friendly but deeply sarcastic voice said.

"sorry sorry sorry" I mubled as I stepped out of the bike thing.

"you pay" Rob said jokingly as the rest of them turned away I put a bunddle of yen in the mans hand not bothring to count it out but I did catch the mans eyes light up. Who cares I thought their was plenty of funds for this mission. Right?

We walked to Tienanmen Square from that point on. We were quick and quiet out on the streets. It was two a.m., but when we got there, there were already people lined up to go in and see Mao. I didn't understand why they would want to. Mao was a cruel, crazy son of a bitch, but these people still supported him. Whatever. It wasn't my problem the Chinese were crazy.

I got in line and went over our plan in Latin, just in case people knew Russian or English. We waited to get in for three hours, but finally were given entrance to go into the building. We walked around for about half an hour, as not to look suspicious, and then Malcolm and I separated ourselves. We went up to one of the soldiers and brokenly asked where the bathrooms were. He pointed us down a hall without any suspicion roused at all.

We went down the hall, went into the bathroom, looked for an air vent, and were then traveling on down to the supposed base of operation. We crawled quickly and silently through the air vents, and in five minutes, we were able to go into a hall that was quite a ways below the basement.

We looked around and were surprised to see that it was relatively unguarded, but we didn't let that get to us. Part of being a spy means that you have to see with more than just your eyes.

We walked quickly to the first door we saw. I looked in and saw that it was a lab. A really good lab. Everyone in there was wearing a bio hazard suit. There was also a large computer in there with a world map on it. There were five countries highlighted on it. China, Russia, North Korea, Cuba, and Pakistan. All of them China's allies. I looked back at the scientists to look and see if I could pick out any that I had studied on. I saw two. Dr. Lei Xiao, a famous human disease biologist, and President Hu Jintao. I knew the moment I saw those two that it was bad.

Most of the scientists left the lab soon after we got there, and I looked at Malcolm. "Get back." I whispered. He stepped back and I knocked on the door. I ducked out of sight and waited for them to open the door. I held the compact, ready to press the thing for the tranquilizer. Someone opened the door, and stepped out, looking for someone. As soon as their neck was in view, I pressed the button and the tranquilizer went into their neck. The person dropped quickly. I heard another scientist ask him what was wrong and his footsteps seemed loud as he came to us. He knelt down by his partner, and I quickly did the same thing to him. Malcolm and I took off the suits and put them on, and put all of our gadgets into these little pouches that they had to protect them. We went in, cautiously. Malcolm went over to the computer and started up on getting info that we needed. I looked at all of the things that they had in vials. As I looked at the captions beside them, it dawned on me that they were diseases. On the other side of the room were the antidotes.

In five minutes, Malcolm had broken through all of the firewalls, and was downloading all of the information onto a zip drive. I took a few viruses and antidotes and put them into a freeze case. I had to get them back to the U.S. as soon as possible.

We finished quickly and got out with no problems. I told Malcolm to go back to the apartment and start to decode things while I gather everyone else. An hour later, we were all back in my room, shocked at what the Chinese were planning.

We had found out that the Chinese and Russians had come up with a series of diseases and viruses that they were planning to let loose into the world as soon as the war started. All of the countries that we saw on the computer that were highlighted were the only countries that would receive the antidote.

We sent the samples to the U.S. quickly, along with the other information that we gathered. The head of the CIA thanked us personally, but told us that we needed to stay in china longer, but that he wanted to transfer us to a house in the mountains. The Chinese government had found out about the theft and were freaking out. We needed to get out, and and we needed to get out fast.
We're all a bit mad...

Jak, Rob and I were inconspicuosly checking around the place. We needed to make sure Cassia and Malcolm were safe.

I stopped dead in my tracks. There was something wrong here. I stooped to the ground. There were tracks. Human footprints and it looked like a half-assed attempt to cover them up. I jumped up and spoke into the gadget Malcolm gave me to talk to everyone.

"Guys, we're in trouble. Someone's been wanting us to know they've been tracking us. They know we're here. Malcolm and Cassia get the hell out or I'm coming after you," I said calmly.

I didn't wait for a reply. My life may not mean much, but theirs did. I had to make sure they got out. Safely.

Devon-

We checked into our rooms, Ryan stumbling with the Russian and making me ask if the rooms were ready. The room was an average suite, but it worked well.

Diana immediatley went to work setting up cameras by the windows and doors. I looked through the suite, noticing how neat it was. Too neat.

"Someone's been in here," I muttered.

"What?" asked Jesse.

"I said someone's been in here."

"How can you tell?" Diana asked.

"This hotel isn't first rate and the service isn't too good either."

"So..."

"So this room is way too clean to be a normal hotel room in Moscow. Someon'e been in here."

"Who do you think?" Ryan asked.

I remembered our transmission from the Grey Alpha team. "I have my suspicions."
"Oh please don't tell me you're archaeologists."

"Do you have a problem with archaeologists?"

sorry it took me so long to post, I forgot I was in it.

Desmond- Red

When we got on the plane I retreated to a back corner and started going through my equipment. I was very picky. I cleaned my pistol twice and triple checked my ammunition. Then I went through all of my optical devices and everything else in my bag. most of it was good, but some needed little tweaks that increased their effectiveness. When I was done I sighed and leaned back in my chair.

I wondered why I was always so absent from the others. It wasn't that I disliked them, I actually liked all of them. The only conclusion I could come to was that since on the job I was so separate, I was also so separate off the job.

I walked back into the main chamber, my body flowing to give me perfect balance as the plain shifted its course. I plumped myself down in a chair and took the head piece from Diana.

I sat silently in my seat for the rest of the ride, but as soon as the plane touched down I was off the plane. I slipped my pistol out of its sheath and rested it lightly in my belt, in easy reach. I checked us in and ran up to our rooms. Instantly I could tell something was wrong. Someone had been there.

I checked the room and removed five cameras and two sound bugs. I didn't think it was all, but it was the most obvious ones. When everything that I could see was clear I went into my room and plopped my bag on the ground.

From the other room I heard Devon say something about the room.

I skipped into the hallway, "I cleared the rooms of cameras and sound bugs. There may be more because I only did a quick check, but I do agree that it was Grey team. It was well set up, but the thing that gets at me is that it was so easy to tell they were here."

*Its long because I missed so much. ill keep up next time.*

"I'm with you," I said to Elmira, drawing alongside her, jogging around the corner. This was more like it, some action. I'd been feeling displaced before, staying back while Cassia and Malcolm went in ahead. That wasn't right. A scout should always be at the front in an unknown area. A scout should be used.

Slowing down, Elmira, Jak and I moved into the shadows as we came upon a lab. Glancing through the window, I was alarmed to see that I recognised two of the people in lab coats. It was Cassia and Malcolm. There was only one other with them and he didn't look about to leave, he needed to be taken out so why hadn't they done it yet.

"I said get out of there," Elmira hissed. I put my arm out to stop her doing anything stupid. If anyone was going to go charging in there without a disguise, it would be me.

"He could be the one tracking us," I said quietly, squeezing the dime so the others would hear.

"Mikey they have found some of the bugs." Said Plague nonchalantly.
"Just the obvious ones?"
"Yes but they are planning a closer inspection later."
"Let them look. No one is better than Famine."
Not only had she gained access to their rooms, she had convinced the desk clerk to keep a register of their key and their room service.
"Why do we need to know their room service?" Boomed War cleaning his combat shotgun.
"Because if we know what they are eating then we can get access to their food and make their lives uncomfortable." I smiled at the thought of drugging that moody techie Diana. Or maybe i'll give her the runs. How annoyed would she be at losing a whole day of work because she was on the toilet?

I snapped into action, "Diana, don't you have a machine-thingy-ma-gig to find bugs, even the tiny ones that are especially hard to find, 'cause I swear I heard you bragging about it back at school." I turned to Desmond, "Good job, for getting the most obvious ones. Everyone, get set up."

The team went to work, getting the room ready. I soon became lost in my thoughts. Why would Grey Alpha bug our room? And, if they did, they must have something else that they'd need to mess with us. If that was all they were doing--messing with us to prove their superiority. Of course I'd told my team to not worry about double agents. They had other things to do, to concentrate on their jobs. I'd worry about all of that until there was sufficient evidence that they were against us.

Is bugging room enough evidence? No. Again, they were probably just messing with us. Believe it or not, it was incredibly hard to be a double agent, with people making sure you were doing what you were told. There were agents higher up on the food chain that spent their lives making sure no one was a double agent.

Access...what kind of access could they have?

A thought popped into my head and I walked over to each and every one of them, whispering the same thing, in Galic, which I required them all to learn because, except in songs, the language was barely used, "No room service."
