Authors note: Where it says ‘Billy Loves Rosa Caitlin Kate Peyton Elle.’ Its ment to have crosses through all the names apart from Elle!

I pulled the doors to the school, open and quickly rushed in side, trying to get away from the freezing cold air that surrounded the town. The warmness of the school hallway sunk into my skin, and started defrosting me immediately. It was just after nine, so classes had been going for at least fifteen minutes. I wanted to arrive when no one could come up to me; I had only just stopped crying on the way to school I didn’t want to start again.
126…127…128…129…
I stood opposite locker 130, my locker, I couldn’t look to the right of me, because that was Marcus’s locker and he would always stand there leaning against it, waiting for me, no matter if he was going to be late or not. He would stare at me with those gorgeous bright blue eyes, while I got my books and just wait. I dialled in the locker combination, and with a tug it opened. I got my English book out, and pencil case and clear file, and pushed it shut, not looking and what was inside, not having the guts to, I didn’t want to cry, not here, not in public.
I walked slowly to class, I knew that when I walked in thirty-four eyes will turn and look at me, and I don’t like being centre of attention.
I got to the door of my class, and took in a deep breathe and let it out slowly. Here we go.
I reached forward and turned the door handle slowly, dreading going inside. I pushed it open, and with a creek, about thirty-four eyes turned and stared at me. On everybody’s face, I could see sympathy.
“Miss Little. Welcome back, take a seat your friends will catch you up on what you have missed.” The teacher, Mrs Evans, said and she had sympathy in her eyes to, even though they were usually as hard as bricks and as cold as ice. I carefully weaved my way through the pushed out chairs and people, until I reached my friends at the back of the class, Lilly, Eva, Nick, and Daniel. Lilly was staring intently at me with her long blonde hair hanging like drapes around her face. Daniel was sitting next to her like he always did, with his black hair spiked up, and his untidy uniform. Eva was sitting with Nick, her long black hair, tied up into a messy ponytail, with pieces hanging out. And Nick with his blonde hair and his one blue eye and one brown, shining sympathetically at me. There were two seats left that were usually for Marcus and I, my stomach turned as I thought about it. I was the odd one out. Lilly and Daniel, Eva and Nick, me and nobody.
I could still feel everyone’s eyes drilling holes in my back, and I desperately wanted Mrs Evans to get back onto the lesson. As though she could read minds she quickly snapped everyone’s attention and started back up onto one of her boring stories.
All my friends were staring at me, probably waiting for me to crack, break down in tears, but I kept my head straight and pretended that I was actually interested in Mrs Evans story.
While I was taking notes on some things, a piece of paper was slipped on top of my work folded up neatly with, ANNA written on it. I carefully unfolded it with out Mrs Evans seeing, and read,
Anna, Oh my gosh, honey are you okay?
Lilly, Nick, Eva, Daniel xo
I rolled my eyes and looked up at there worried faces and mouthed, I’m fine. They all looked at one another and shook there heads. Eva grabbed the piece of paper that I had been squashing in my hands, and scribbled something on it and gave it back to me.
U know we are here for you right?
xo
I blinked a couple of times to fight back the tears that were trying to force there way out of my eyes, then looked up at them, all there faces staring at me with deep sympathy, and grief as well. Marcus had been there friend to.
‘Yes’ I mouthed ‘thank-you’
This time Nick took the paper from me and quickly scribbled something before he gave it back.
Hey, we can all go to the beach house this weekend, get our minds of things! You want to?
Instead of mouthing my answer this time, I grabbed my pen that had been lying on my English book and wrote.
No I can’t sorry. Sure why not I’ll ask mum and dad tonight.
I didn’t really want to go, but I have to get on with my life and they are all grieving as well. Ill be able to get away from my brother for a couple of days. Get away from everything.

The next half an hour went by so fast, and the ending to it, was me sitting on one of the girls toilets, blubbering into some toilet paper, Nick and Daniel waiting patiently outside, and Eva and Lilly trying to sooth me.
“It’s going to be okay, An, the pain will fade. I promise.” Eva whispered to me, and I could see tears in her eyes too.
We had all gotten called over for our full assembly, Mr Smith had stood at the front of the hall, and the whole school went into dull whispers and then everyone anventualey went quiet.
“Thank-you everyone welcome back for another great week.” He had said.
Great? Then all of a sudden without any warning a picture had flashed on, the wall behind Mr Smith. My heart had felt heavy inside my chest, and I had felt like my stomach had been ripped apart right there in front of everyone.
“Now… you all now we have lost a great student at this school…” Mr Smith began. But I wasn’t listening to him; my eyes had been glued to the picture behind him. It was of Marcus and me at athletics day just two weeks ago. He had me in a tight bear hug and his face was lit up with happiness, his bright blue eyes shining as though they were the sun. His blonde hair just getting long enough to hang over his face. Then the picture clicked over and it was just one of him, lying on the grass, red in the face and poking out his tongue. Then the picture clicked over again, and words lay on the screen, I clicked back to reality and listened to what Mr. Smith had to say.
“Marcus had put together this slide show, and was going to add more before… well you know.” He had said. “Anyway he was going to give this to Anna Little as a birthday present, but I thought it would be appropriate if she saw this now.” I caught the eye of Mr Smith, then looked at the screen and began to read what it said.
‘I love you Anna Little, Happy Birthday. Wait till you see what I got you!’
Why was Mr Smith showing this now? In front of everyone! That’s all is said then it had a picture of Marcus blowing a kiss. I couldn’t handle it; my heart felt like it was going to pop with the tightness that surrounded it. The lump in my throat gave way and a sob burst out. I pulled my hands around my stomach trying to keep myself together. I jumped out of my seat and sprinted towards the door, my vision blurred and barley able to see. I felt a hand grab my elbow and guide me out the door, when I looked up I saw it was Nick, and I collapsed into his arms. A blubbering mess, great big heaving sobs.
“Shhh, Anna its Okay.” He said. Then the door to the hall burst open and Eva sprinted out followed closely by Nick and Lilly.
“Quick, Girls bathroom. Now.” She had said.
Now I was sitting on a dirty toilet seat, reading words that had been scribbled on the door in vivid. Stuff like ‘Billy Loves Rosa Caitlin Kate Peyton Elle.’ And ‘Sam’s a dick.’
“It’s going to be okay! I promise you, it will all work out.” Eva said, while rubbing my knee.
“Eva’s right, An.” Lilly whispered, as though as if she talked to loud she would break me. I sure felt that way! I felt weak and exhausted. I need him! I wish I was crying about something stupid like, getting bullied or my cat going missing, then I would walk out of the rusty doors of the girls bathroom, and Marcus would be waiting there arms outstretched and waiting to pull me into a giant bear hug. And tell me everything is going to be okay.
If only…
“I never said it…” I mumbled, through the tissue which I was blowing my nose on. Lilly and Eva looked at each other, confused.
“Never said what?” Lilly asked.
“I never said…never said… I loved him.” I whispered, and then burst into a fresh lot of tears.
“Ow sweaty, he new!” they both said in unison.
“We all saw the way he looked at you, with such care. And the way you looked at him, love struck. He knew. Honestly!” Lilly said.
“I know, but I never said it out loud!” I yelled at them, and they jumped back because my voice sounded so much louder in the empty bathroom. Echoing all around us. That seemed to shut them up, but I didn’t feel any better. I could travel the world and tell every single person, how much I loved him. But it wouldn’t be enough, he didn’t know. It was something that gnawed away at me all the time. I should have told him when I had a chance. I’m so stupid!
The door burst open, and a bunch of giggling girls barged in. We all jumped and I wiped my eyes and nose, trying to hide that I had been crying, even though everyone saw me run out of assembly. Eva and Lilly scrambled out tumbling over each other and I quietly followed.
“That’s Marcus ex-girlfriend.” One of the girls with way to much foundation on whispered. “is she a ex if he’s dead or still his girlfriend?”
I pretended I didn’t hear them and I ignored the sympathetic stares I got from Lilly and Eva.

“Heads up!” someone screamed from across the gym. My arms flew up around my head as a ball came hurling towards me. “Sorry.” They said, and ran after the ball and almost tripped up when someone else’s ran underneath their feat. The gym was chaos. Obviously the gym teacher didn’t know how dangerous it was to let volleyballs loose without any instructions. There were balls flying everywhere, over the net, towards the door. Some rolling around on the floor. People running around after there balls which had rolled away from them. It was just mayhem. I was sitting next to Eva who also thought this was very dangerous and could possibly end in broken bones.
“This is so stupid, can’t the teacher have some rules?” she ranted on. “I mean look at her over there, sitting on her big comfy seat just watching, can’t she see that were going to get…” her rant was interrupted in mid sentence, by a ball that came out of no where and hit her straight on the head. I silenced a laugh that was about to burst out of my mouth. And looked at the person who threw it. “Sorry.” She mouthed at Eva. I think her name was Ricky she was a very quiet girl, and didn’t have many friends. I felt sorry for her because she didn’t want any fuss, but with Eva there’s always fuss. Everybody knew not to mess with Eva because she gets really angry, and could knock you out in one punch. She was quite plump. She wasn’t fat, but she was quiet chunky.
“Why’d you do that for?” she yelled across the court which made everyone stop and look, because they knew there was going to be a scene.
“Ev, don’t worry it was a accident.” I tried to tell her, but she silenced me with a sharp shush. And stood up and walked over to Ricky, who looked like she could wet her pants at any minute. And just wanted to be any where but here.
“I…I…didn’t mean to hit you.” She stuttered out nervously. Everyone was watching eagerly now, waiting to see if it was going to end in a fight. It usually did with Eva. I looked over towards the teacher, but saw she had her headphones in and was reading women’s weekly completely oblivious to what was going on. What kind of teacher is she?
“Ev, just leave it she didn’t mean to do anything!” I said, sternly begging that she would leave it, and everyone would get back to what they were doing.
“No, An. Because I think she hit me on purpose.” She said, looking straight into Ricky’s eyes.
“No, no I…i… didn’t. Honest!” she said. Poor Ricky. Eva walked slowly up to Ricky until there nose’s were just about touching.
“I don’t care if it was an accident! NEVER do it again!” she said, and I’m sure Ricky was crying. The teacher looked up and came into terms what was going on.
“Girls! Break it up Now!” she yelled, but didn’t get up from her seat. Eva gave Ricky one last icy stare, spun round and practically skipped back to her seat like nothing had happened. Everyone took this as a clue that nothing was going to happen, and got back to playing with there volleyballs. Ricky was standing in the middle of the court, not sure what to do with herself. Balls were flying everywhere again, and the teacher was completely oblivious to any of it.

Hi, borntoshop! :) I'll happily be your reviewer today.

Authors note: Where it says ‘Billy Loves Rosa Caitlin Kate Peyton Elle.’ Its ment to have crosses through all the names apart from Elle!

This is a way you can do that, you know. When you submit, you will see icons that are for Bold, Italics, Underline etc. Well, somewhere along is a Strikethrough icon. Next to 'spoiler', there is an 's' -- that's it!
In fact, you might see me strikethrough your story a few times (no offence  ) because I'll be using bold for comments, italics for my additions to your story, and strikethrough for what I find unnecessary. Of course, you can ignore all I say.

I pulled the doors to the school, this comma is a mistake, surely? open and quickly rushed in side inside is one word, trying to get away from the freezing cold air that surrounded the town. The warmness of the school hallway sunk into my skin, and started defrosting me immediately hmm, kind of weird terminology, but all right  . It was just after nine, so classes had been going for at least fifteen minutes. I wanted to arrive when no one could come up to me; I had only just stopped crying on the way to school and I didn’t want to start again.

126…127…128…129… this should maybe be in italics?

I stood opposite locker 130, my locker, period I couldn’t look to the right of me, because that was Marcus’s locker and he would always stand there leaning against it, waiting for me, no matter if he was going to be late or not. He would stare at me with those gorgeous bright blue eyes why are they gorgeous? it all seems flat if you resort to the trodden tracks of cliche, while I got my books comma and just wait. I dialled in the locker combination, and with a tug it opened. I got my English book out, and pencil case and clear file, and pushed it shut, not looking and what was inside, not having the guts to, new sentence. Be wary of these run-ons--they are tiring to read, and often maybe scant sense I didn’t want to cry, not here, not in public.

I walked slowly to class, I knew that when I walked in thirty-four eyes [s]will[/s] would turn and look at me, and I don’t like being centre of attention.

I got to the door of my class, and took in a deep breathe and let it out slowly. Here we go, I told myself.

I reached forward and turned the door handle slowly, dreading going inside. I pushed it open, and with a creek, about thirty-four eyes turned and stared at me. On everybody’s faces, I could see sympathy.

“Miss Little. Welcome back, take a seat and your friends will catch you up catch you up? Not very grammatically correct for a teacher on what you have missed.” The teacher, Mrs Evans, said and she had sympathy in her eyes too, even though they were usually as hard as bricks and as cold as ice. I carefully weaved my way through the pushed out chairs and people, until I reached my friends at the back of the class, colon Lilly, Eva, Nick, and Daniel. And Nick with his blonde hair and his one blue eye and one brown, shining sympathetically at me. There were two seats left that were usually for Marcus and I, new sentence. Mix it up a bit my stomach turned as I thought about it. I was the odd one out. Lilly and Daniel, Eva and Nick, me and nobody. Nice!

I could still feel everyone’s eyes drilling holes in my back, and I desperately wanted Mrs Evans to get back onto the lesson. As though she could read minds comma she quickly snapped everyone’s attention and started back up onto one of her boring stories.

All my friends were staring at me, probably waiting for me to crack, break down in tears, but I kept my head straight and pretended that I was actually interested in Mrs Evans's story.

Anna, Oh my gosh, honey are you okay?

Lilly, Nick, Eva, Daniel xo the note should probably be in italics, to separate from main body fo text

I rolled my eyes and looked up at [s]there[/s] their worried faces comma and mouthed, I’m fine. where are the speech-marks, even if it is just mouthed? They all looked at one another and shook there their, not there. Their shows possession, and they possess their heads, don't they? You need to learn the difference, because it's quite an elementary mistakeheads. Eva grabbed the piece of paper that I had been squashing in my hands, and scribbled something on it and gave it back to me.

U know we are here for you right?

xo again, italics

I blinked a couple of times to fight back the tears that were trying to force there way out of my eyes, then looked up at them, all there their! faces staring at me with deep sympathy, and grief as well. Marcus had been there -.- friend to also, in this case, it is 'too'. It woulkd be a good idea to brush up on the rules.

‘Yes’ I mouthed comma ‘thank-you period

This time Nick took the paper from me and quickly scribbled something before he gave it back.

Hey, we can all go to the beach house this weekend, get our minds off things! You want to? italics

Instead of mouthing my answer this time, I grabbed my pen that had been lying on my English book and wrote.

All right. A powerful little story, so far. I like the characterisations, which are very real, and An's thoughts, which were equally so. However, truth be told, there was scarcely any imagery, so I found it hard to picture much of it in my mind. I liked the ending though. Ev's a bitch! But I'm guessing Ricky comes into the story later on?
Anyhow, I'll try to critique part 2 sometime today, but might not get round to it. I will do it, though.

Any questions, just PM me.
