I've just discovered this place ( I saw discovered, my little cousin linked me too it ) Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 22, towards the older side of the "young" writer, hehe I'm at Uni doing sociology and politics...yes that means I'm an opinionted girl hehe. I write for fun though, It's probably rubbish but any hoo it's good to share!

Why Hello! My name is Y!

Welcome to YWS! The place where the sun always shines, and butterflies dance in the air. (Well, not really.)

So, as for the rules:

1. Rate your works. If it has any profound language, adult situations, you need to rate it. We don’t want people stumbling across things they’d rather not see, now would we?

2. There is a 2:1 ratio here. So, for every work you post, you should critic two other works. This way, your points stay high and everyone’s work gets reviewed.

Wow! A lot of questions Y! Hehe

Right well, let start with what I love reading... my faviourite writers are Virginina Woolf, George Orwell, Emile Zola, Elizabeth Wurtzel, Jeannette Winterson and Sylvia Plath.... I do Sociology and Politics at Uni, so other favourites to read are Marx, Trotsky, Judith Butler, Oliver James, and Michel Foucault.

Plath is my favourite poetry writer, along with Anne Sexton - both from the confessional Poetry Genre, both unexplicitly brilliant.

When I was younger I was totally in love with Judy Blume, and Forever remains one of my favourite books of all time!

I have one little brother who is 3 in august (awwwww) He's cute, but cheeky! I'm away at Uni so I only see my family on holidays really.

The Gym and swimming as about as sporty as I get I am afraid! Hehe, I'm involved in some political activism outside Uni, and I am looking to set up a Socialist Society next year at Uni

Oh, Yes pets I have 2 ferrets that my mum looks after for me, and in July me and my housemates are going to get a bunny!
