With a slight huffing sound, Bliss starts to walk around the town idly. Bored, and with nothing to do. She looks up at the sky, seeing it is only midday and lets out yet another huffing sound. Her eyes narrowed as she scuffs her shoes in the dirt, kicking the dirt in billows around her feet.

After walking for ten minutes she hears footsteps behind her, but when she turns there is nobody there, as if they had hidden, or maybe she was just hearing things. She narrows her eyes, but carries on walking, whistling an unrecognisable tune as she goes, her arms moving back and forth at her sides, and her back straight.

A breeze flows past her cheek, making her black locks flow back in the air, dancing in the wind, as if alive. As the wind dies down she hears a tap of the metal on her shoulder. As quick as lightening she spins around, her hand on the hilt of her sword, already pulling it out of her sheath, and her eyes widening slightly as she sees who is in front of her. Her cheeks flush angrily as the person speaks,

“Where’s my money, Bliss?”

(I agree- Matt, hold tight, we is on the way, fair damsel. :P )

Xadrian

"The kid's got the same talent as you'n I've." The words are soft, low, but Xadrian closes his eyes as if Agravine had yelled. He'd been waiting for the words; he'd picked up on it the same way his friend had. Impossible not to, even if the kid did sit a horse like a block of wood. "He's a gunslinger, or will be, and you know it."

Xadrian lifts his head to glance back at the teen, then lowers it again, bringing his horse nearer Agravine's. The gelding snorts in irritation, but does nothing more to protest. "Your point?"

"Why don't you take 'im as your apprentice?" The question is soft and casual, as if Agravine doesn't care what the answer is. But he does; Xadrian knows him well enough to know that.

Despite his playful lack of respect, Xadrian usually deferred to Agravine when they were together, only because the other man was older. Not by much, maybe, but Xadrian had a since of respect instilled in him from an early age. First with the gang and then later, with the old man.

Still, older didn't mean better- Xadrian was every bit the fully realized gunslinger, just like his friend. But he remembered what that process was like.

"Why don't you?" He returns, fully aware now that Henry's attention is on them. Well, the boy's not stupid, at least. He knows he's being discussed. Agravine knows it, too, and glances back at the boy himself.

"I'm no good as a teacher." His friend replies with a shrug, and Xadrian clucks once, a smirk on his lips.

"Bullshit." He drawls in return. But out of the two of them, Xadrian is better teacher material. Both men are steady, patient, cool headed and calm.....but Xadrian is more used to kids, for starters. More used to being in charge of them. Knows better how to interact with and make them pay attention.

Still.

He doesn't want to have to handle some upstart teenage brat- an outsider, none the less- and teach him everything he'd need to know. He doesn't want to have to guide another person through that, watch someone else go through the pain and fear of not knowing what was happening to their own body.

An upstart teenage brat like you used to be? Drawls a voice in his head that sounds all too like his old teacher. It makes him sigh and reach down to pat his own gelding's neck. The big bay snorts softly and turns it's head to nibble at Xadrian's toes as they come to a halt. He looks out on the city, glancing back as Henry rides up.

"-but the fact that you’re with two gunslingers should allay most suspicion. Right Xadrian?”

He lifts his head, tossing that thick red plait back with an impatient gesture and wondering where the first part of that statement had gotten off to. "Or increase it a notch or two." He teases dryly, no trace of a smile on his lips. Only those who knew to look for it would see it in his eyes. He pats the bay's neck again. "Come on, you two." He glances over at Agravine, letting him know the conversation was not over.

April!~~
April's mouth quivered with words as the girl looked at her closely.

"Are you going to poof away too?" April asked like a child, lost in a large crowd to a stanger. Suddenly the sullen girl burst out laughing leaving the lost to question.

"Forget it," she muttered, "What kind of meds do the doctors at the hospital have me on?"

"You are a strange mage," The strange girl put bluntly.

"Mage?"

Tahakiel -

I frowned. This was getting stranger and stranger. "You aren't the mage? Isn't this your home?" I asked. She looked bewildered and shook her head.

"No! But, seriously, what am I on?"

"On...?" I was lost. This girl, April, she said, was definitely strange. "You're in the Midlands. Are you sure you're all right?"

"All right?" She snorted. "I'm in the hospital, of course I'm not all right." She scrutinized me further. No words were said during this time. "Who are you?"

"I already said that my name is Tahakiel. You are April, and I'm assuming you're the mage who lives here. If so, you must have felt the surge of energy, right? Do you think you can tell me what it was? I'm not exactly well versed in that type of magic." I waited for her answer, but she didn't seem to know what to say. I was quickly growing impatient. The mage had to know something.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she said slowly, as if choosing her words carefully. "I nearly-" She stopped for a while, not wanting to say whatever it was that was on her mind. "-died... and when I woke up, I was here! There was an old lady saying that she was the witch of this forest, and then she disappeared. I have no idea what's going on, but is there some sort of hospital around here?"

I bristled. 'She calls herself the witch of the forest? I have more claim than she does!' "Hospital?"

"Yeah, I think I got knifed in my arms." I raised an eyebrow, looking down at April's arms.

"You aren't injured," I bluntly stated. She looked surprised and looked over herself, apparently amazed that she wasn't hurt. "Look, if you aren't injured, then I think you should find somewhere where you can..." I stopped for a while, wondering what to say. "Where you can learn some skills. You won't survive for very long if you don't have a trade."

I looked over the interior of the hut. Crudely made, very unorganized, though I shouldn't be talking. There were a few scrolls scattered around, some symbols carved onto a staff. If the woman who previously lived here was right about one thing, it was the fact that she was a witch.

"What trade? I'm not special, except that I can play music. I got a scholarship for it, but that's it." April seemed very confused. One of my eyebrows raised. This girl can play music? Seemed interesting, but it would have to wait for now.

Walking over to a desk, I picked up one of the scrolls. Being very careful- sometimes, they had traps and curses on them- I handed the scroll to a puzzled April. "Magic."

(Maybe you could have Esa stumble on April and Tahakiel, and bring her back to a city so we can meet up with everyone?)

Henry

As the three of them reached the outer gates of Gilead, a lone gunslinger took a few steps forward, tipping his hat a little to his mounted comrades. “Good day to you, Agravaine and Xadrian. How goes it?”

Agravaine nodded back, “Just fine-”

The guard held up a hand, cutting him off, “Who is that?”

Agravaine looked to Xadrian, then back to the gunslinger, then back to Xadrian, and burst out laughing, “Why, that’s Xadrian, of course! My, oh my, you’ve-”

The man’s face darkened a little, “No one’s in the mood for games today, Agravaine. There are reports coming in that a bunch of strangers have shown up in Midland, and there’s talk that they’re help for the rebellion, and demon summoners and the like.” He pointed straight at Henry, “Now, are you going to tell me he’s not a stranger?”

Agravaine’s shoulders sagged a little – apparently, being in the company of two gunslingers hadn’t helped Henry at all.

“He’s wanted for questioning, then.” The guard said, “You know where to go.”

The three of them rode on through the gates, Henry knowing better than to try and run. It would come out soon enough that he was no rebel, just a dead kid from a different world. Agravaine looked at Xadrian, “You know there’s a very easy way out of this. All you need to do is what we discussed.”

Henry trotted Sable forward a little, looking straight at the two of them, “What exactly is that? I think I should know, since it’s my freedom you seem to be discussing.”

Xadrian

“Why, that’s Xadrian, of course! My, oh my, you’ve-”

Ugh. Agravine, shut up. Xadrian lifts his head lazily, trying to contain the smile that wants to blossom on his lips. His friend tends to show a rather snarky sense of humor at the worst of times.....and this is one of those times. He groans softly at the guard's answer, looking over his shoulder and Henry.

"Oh, he's an outsider alright, but if you tell me this pup is in a rebellion of anything, then I guarantee you it's a rebellion that's gonna fail." He drawls. "He's just a dumb, scared kid."

"Hey!" Henry protests at that, but Xadrian doesn't bother looking back at the boy. If he was smart, he'd keep his fool mouth shut no matter how offended he got. The guard doesn't seem to care, either way.

“He’s wanted for questioning, then. You know where to go.”

Xadrian sighs and gathers his gelding's reins, clucking to the animal to get him moving forward. The horse drifts of his own accord towards Agravine's mount, and Xadrian lets him, his foot bumping into Agravine's stirrup gently with the motion of the animals. He turns it into a short, sharp kick, though, at the other man's words.

"Agravine, I can't-I don't want-"

Then the kid is riding between them, forcing his way beside both gunslingers. Xadrian looks away and down, fingers stroking through the bay's chocolate mane, snagging on a tangle or two.

"More literally then I think you know, kid." He drawls at last. "Look, I can....prevent.....a lot of what's about to happen, but you'd be stuck with my sorry ass from then on out, and-" He sends Agravine a glare. "This is why I can't. I'm shit at explaining." I don't like to talk, damn it!

Matt~~

I waited for a couple more seconds and then stood up to watch out the window. There was a lot of activity in the streets, I assumed it was because of the fire in the woods. I watched as a large group of men assembled and as they rode off towards the mountains. Then after the streets had cleared three men on horse back entered the gates.

Two wore similar garb to the one that had taken me to the jail, and the other was dressed very differently. Like me, and they didn't seem to be going towards the prison. I hopped off the stool and rummaged in my pockets. I took out a folded sheet of paper and a pen. I spread the paper on the bench and wrote "Help me! Look up!" Then I quickly made a paper airplane and jumped back up on the bench.

I waited until the riders were under me then threw the airplane.

*Unsure what you mean by group . . . ^^" I'll post it here and if someone tells me what you mean I'll add it there as well ^^"*

Arrow

I turned to the she-wolf-monster thing, "So, judging by my unluck, I reckon we're either in some weird twisted hell, or another realm where we'll be hunted down and killed."

I smiled at the person, "Which one would you prefer?"

"Option C." she replied with a grin.

"Either I can't count or there was no third option." I replied, grinning ear to ear.

"C, from the alphabet. You can't spell. Anyway, you willing to check out that smoke coming from over those hills?"

"What so they can torch us to death? Sure, why not!" I began to march and laid a hand on her arm, maybe to reassure her or maybe to reassure me. I wasn't sure. Possibly I was transferring my ill luck to her as well. A loop hole in my unluck system?

She smiled.

"Well, at least this beats being mauled by animals." I dully noted. I tripped on thin air. Nope, unluck was definitely still there, more stronger than ever if anything.

*Short, but I hope eventually we'll end up with the others, no?*
