I excused myself from the conversation and backed away from the others. I had been holding it in for a while, but my bladder was killing me. My face contorted as I hopped down the narrow street towards the alley we had been using as a lavatory. I turned the corner and almost forgot that I had to pee when I smelled the acrid air. I pinched my nose and went fast. As soon as I was done I backed away, not zipping up until I was safely away from the smell.

I walked quickly back to the group, "You know, we should really pick a new shit spot, that one is really really bad."

Lee~

I smiled at Matt's comment about the 'shit spot'.

"I agree." I replied as I glanced over to him.

"OK how about this, we find a new one and I blow up the old one." Leif suggested with a sly grin.

"What's up with you and bombs?" Angela asked with boredom.

"It's fun." he shrugged.

"Well we can't do that." I sighed feeling bad by ruining Leif's fun.

"And why not?" he seemed a bit mad now.

"Cause where trying to hide, not be caught." I noted.

"Oh." he seemed to get my point and was quiet for a moment.

"This stinks. . .and I don't just mean the bathroom ether." I whine.

"Well it's that or, being in a concentration camp." Angela sighed. That was a good point, and I know from experience how bad that can be. Although I never know why I didn't tell any of the group that.

*Lucy*

Cole and I looked up as Matt came back from the bathroom. ""You know, we should really pick a new shit spot, that one is really really bad." he said, sitting down at the front of one of the many trees surrounding us.

"Cute, Matt." I said with disgust. "Real cute."

A few minutes later, we packed up our stuff and headed out to our next location.

We made camp in an old national park out in New York. Trees stretched out around us as far as the eye could see. We had chosen this place specifically. There was a Camp just three miles from where we were. There was a mass grave only a mile away too. Tonight we were planning our attack and we were ironing out the final details.

After three hours of intense planning with The Group, we were ready. We had gotten a schedule and knew that they were bringing in a new load of people. That was when we would strike. I think that they thought we were still in Virginia. They probably thought that we couldn't keep up, but we could.

We definitely could.

The sun was setting as we prepared ourselves to go into battle. I strapped my pistols to me and my scythe was strapped onto my back. I wrapped my mask around my face and looked into the stream to make sure they wouldn't be able to see who I was. When I approved myself, I went back to where everyone else was prepping. Angie was on her knees by the stream doing something spiritual, as was Cora. I had my own cross around my neck. It had been in my family for almost ten generations, and I hoped that I would live to give it to my own daughter.

"Ready?"

I jumped at the sound of Lee-Ann's voice. She was the only person who could really surprise me.

I turned to face her. "As much as I'll ever be." I replied, making sure I had enough ammo in my guns.

"We'll get em." she said. "I know we will. I have a good feeling about this one."

I looked at her and smiled. "I always trust your feelings."

She smiled back and we clasped each others forearms in a warriors handshake.

I saw Jake getting ready and talking with Cole. I went over to them and made sure they were ready and went around to the rest, making sure they were also. We were ready.

Thirty minutes later, all of us were crouching on both sides of a road that had slight hills on them. I was with Cole, Lee-Ann, and Leif. I looked at my watch. 7:15. They should be pulling up... now.

Right on time, a large wagon filled to the brim with my country kinsman was coming down the road. Ten guards were walking along with it. I smiled a humorless smile. We had taken over thirty more than twice and wiped them out in under ten minutes. Ten would be easy.

I made the eagle call I could do so well and aimed my pistol at the last Bomar and shot. The shot was silent and he went down like a rock.

Our thirteenth battle towards our freedom had been started.
We're all a bit mad...

Cole

I charged in front, my sword cutting air behind me, scrapping the cracked asphalt. The first guard had barley reacted to the bullet before my swords sliced him in the shoulders as I jumped in the air. His gun clattered to the ground as he gasped and crumpled in pain. I didn't bother finishing him up, I always got them down, someone else always finished the job for me.

In an effort to look impressive, I threw my sword in the air, it spun, and I caught it, and slashed to the right, cutting a guard’s chest open. A guard trying to be sneaky jumped me, but my sword pierced his chin a moment later. I saw the two guards get up, and charge me. But I had climbed onto the prisoner bus. I stabbed the glass door, and landed in it.

"We are so getting out of here," I said and took out the driver. I quickly threw the man out the door, and started the bus.

"Now if you look to your left, you can see three guards being beaten by my friends, and to the right, you will see the camp we are saving you from. Please keep your seatbelts on as we speed up. If you feel any bump, that is because we have run over a guard," I announced, jokingly, as I set the bus in motion.

"Not so fast," I heard and turned to see a gun pointed at me.

"Sorry sir. No bathroom breaks on my bus. Either hold it, or pee on some one. I prefer option one," I told the guard, I quietly grabbed my dagger.

"Oh, you’re a funny man then?" The guard asked.

"I prefer to call myself a-" the guard cut me off.

"I don't care what you call yourself, because you’re going to die," He said.

"Yeah, I disagree," I told him, and my dagger was out of my belt and in his stomach. He cried out, and lashed out at me, not bothering to shoot me. The gun cut me, and I felt blood come out. I fell back, and my dagger came out with me. A gusher of blood came out, squirting me. My foot collided with his groan, and he did an uper cut. Soon we were in a full out fist fight.

Every punch I did just made him angrier, nothing affected him. Nothing seemed to hurt him enough to end his run. Adrenaline kept me up, my senses were at their highest. Every punch I saw coming, and I was able to brace my self, or block it. The fight was even at this point, but I felt like it might tip to the guards favor at any moment.

Luckily, I never had to worry. The glass shattered at the rear entranced, and Lucky came in. Her pistol was aimed at the guard, and she shot. The man fell. He was defiantly dead.

"Well hurry up. They called for reinforcements already. We have to be out five minutes earlier," Lucy said.

"Did you just make a funny? Good one Lucy," I said. She glared at me.

"Just move," she barked, I got the message and dove into the drivers seat. "Sorry for all the trouble people. Now for real this time, we are rolling away."

Matt~~

I saw the fight break out below and I brought my rifle to my shoulder. I never really joined in the fighting, preferring to stay on the outskirts and pick off anyone who might be dangerous. Not that I didn't completely back what we were doing, its just that Cole and the others had it in control.

I watched the group from on top of the hill when I saw the second group of guards creeping along the wall towards the stopped prison bus.

I cursed and looked at the men through my scope. They must have gotten a call out for reinforcements.

I picked up my rifle and ran down the hill towards the group. They all seamed so oblivious it made me smile. Right as I was getting comfortable one of the guards turned my way. I dropped onto my belly instantly and counted to ten under my breath. When the last bit of air hissed out of my mouth I popped up, rifle raised.

Three of the guards turned towards me but they dropped instantly, blood spurting from their heads. I flicked the switch on my rifle and pulled the alternate trigger. There was a thwump as the grenade left the barrel and then gravel stung me face as the ground by the soldiers exploded. I dropped my rifle on its sling and pulled my pistols out of their holsters on my back.

When all the guards were dead I let out a long sigh. Killing was a nasty business, even if the diseased were monsters. I ran towards the bus that had only just started pulling out. I hopped on the back and shimmied around to the front of the bus where the doors were.

At my knock Lucky aimed her gun at my chest but as soon as she recognized me she opened the door.

I slipped inside and rested on one of the chairs, "The first wave of reinforcements is gone, but there are undoubtably more coming."

Leif

Ten soldiers was nowhere near close to a number that would give them any trouble. Leif had seen time and again what his comrades could do when given the opportunity for an ambush. He also knew that Bomar would never let a truckful of prisoners travel with only ten guards, which meant there had to be more coming.

So he moved about a hundred metres in the opposite direction of the truck, unslinging his satchel from his shoulder as soon as he stopped and crouching down. His long fingers moved with expert skill as he worked, his eyes wide and alert. The charge he set lay dead in the middle of the narrow road, an unavoidable spot. Leif had set it inside a half-buried, fallen helmet, ensuring that the blast would be directed upwards. Two detonators were connected to it, each leading to a thin tripwire that stretched across the road.

As he finished setting the last one, there was a sharp crack, and a shot whizzed past his head. He swore loudly, "Jesus Christ, can't anyone see I'm working here?"

Leif ducked and sprinted back to the side of the road as more shots rang out, seeing Bomarites falling out of the corner of his eye. Matt. Gotta be Matt. He thought. He heard a dull thump, and threw himself forward, arms over his face, as gravel sprayed everywhere. He lay still for several moments, heart thumping, waiting for his mine to go off just a few metres from him. Thankfully, the gravel hadn't cut either of the wires.

A grin quickly returning to his face, Leif stood up, brushed himself off, and jogged back to the truck. There, as he'd expected, his friends had already dealt with the guards.

The bus' tires began to turn, spitting gravel up from the ground, and Leif reached the bus seconds after Matt. He jumped through the doors just in time to hear the sniper speaking, "The first wave of reinforcements is gone, but there are undoubtably more coming."

Leif grinned, and his eyes flashed a little, "Well, I sure hope they're coming out of the North."

"Leif," Jake said, sounding tired, "Just how much did you use?"

Leif blinked, looking stunned at the suggestion that he could be too liberal with his application of explosives, "Not too much, Jake, I swear! I'd never use too much of this." He patted his satchel, making a few of the others wince. No one wanted to see that thing get jolted about too much, even if Leif assured everyone that it was perfectly safe until he'd prepared it.

Of course, he was being truthful, in this case. While Leif had no qualms about using the bombs he took off Bomar's men to an absurd extent, his mining explosives were precious and hard to come by. Besides, using too much would not only destroy a truck like he'd intended, but also the road under it.

"So," he asked, glancing around at everyone, "Where are we going to drop this lot off?"

Cole

The sounds of wheels of graveled started behind us. The chase was one. "How many?" I asked.

"There are...I can't count the, to many and they keep moving," I heard someone say.

"Okay then. Passengers are you cuffed?" I asked.

"Yeah," replied a shrill woman's voice.

"I got it," Jake called and set to work. "When you are released, get down on the floor. Stay as low as possible. Our guys get on the seats. Cole just keep driveing."

The bus snapped into an immediate nod, and our team jumped onto the seats. Glass shattered, and I hit the throttle. I chanced a look back, and saw a large number, and assortment, of vehicles. "They knows it's us I guess," I said.

"Yeah. And they want nothing more to kill us," Matt said and fired a shot.

"Aim for the tires. We need to slow them down, if we spend time trying to kill them all, we won't lose them. I'll try to keep us on a smooth trip. I'll give a warning before I go into evasive maneuvers. Like...NOW!!!"

The words barley left my mouth before I jerked the steering wheel to the left. People rolled around the floor, but it was better than being dead. "Give us a little more warning next time," Lucy screamed.

"Sorry. But now you got an easier shooting range," I countered, and drew my pistol. "You, can you shoot?" I asked a strong looking man near me.

"Yes," he answered weakly. I handed him the gun and pointed him to the others. "Well lets see," I said and he joined my group. Jake had finished by now, and drew his own gun. The leader gave the signal, and everyone fired. the booms were ear shattering, and I fought the reflex to cover my ears. Through the side view mirror I saw he site of three cars stopping, and another two crashing into the block. "Three...two...one!" I said and I turned the bus around.

"What are you doing?" Leif asked.

"We need to go the other way. And charging into them will be a surprise. Just keep the fire coming. The more we stop before we crash, the less damage this baby gets," I said coolly. I saw Jake sigh, but he sent the group to different windows, before taking the front. "Open the door," He told me, full of confidence. The lever was pulled and he leaned out the front. "You know how dumb this move is, right?"

"Of course. But the other way we would just pro long the inevitable. This way, we can get away. There is this tunnel we can escape into. I used to live here before I joined you guys. Right after a construction site. So I need to risk a little something."

"What would that be," Jake asked.

"You need to jump out, and get some T.N.T..Then when we get in the tunnel, Leif can set it off. Since the other entrance is already caved in, we will be safe. Then we can escape through the matinees tunnel. From there we just got to hope our luck keeps us, and these prisoners, safe," I explained.

Jake thought for a bit, and nodded. "But how will we set off the stuff?" Jake asked.

"You're focusing on that? We need to charge through the enemy, stop and grab some explosives, and then still get into the tunnel a few minutes before they can catch up. And with this well-" I was cut short, the first cars were coming in close.

"Just drive. I bet Leif has some matches, or a lighter," Jake said and jumped back to Leif, telling him the plan. Another wave of gun were fired, from both sides. All of their shots hit out the metal skin, bouncing off, or denting it. But they got hit. Several tires popped, and I barreled right into two of the stopped cars. one went into another, and stopped it short. "Keep it up," Me and Jake said in unison.

I squinted past the cars, to see the construction site not to far from here. I looked back. A few people had ran out of ammo, but a lot of cars were down. "I'm out," Lucy finally called, signaling the last shot.

"Good enough. Now hold on, and stay low. I hit the gas harder than ever, and we charged pasted the final cars. The cars behind us slowed down, trying to turn around the wrecks and fires. Just what we needed. the large bus ran over the fence around the construction area, and I looked around, trying to find something.

"There!" Called Lief, and I drove over to his hand. Jake jumped out, before I even stopped, and ran for the crate of explosives. He grabbed a large amount, and ran back to the car.

Right after his second foot hit the floor; I hit the gas, and closed the door. We were heading back to the tunnel.

Lee-

"This one so far is the dangers!" I joked as I held on to the seat.

"What about that one time, when we drove the transport bus into the river." Lucy joked back as the bus jerked to the left.

"Hey you have to admit I did a pretty good job driving for my first and last time." I smiled as I watch Leif pull out a match.

"The only way we can get this out is through the back door." Leif noted. I jumped up to help open the back.

"Okay here goes nothing." Jake huffed as he help Leif throw the TnT out the door."

As it blew up the door swung back knocking anyone in range back. Before it swumg open again. At first the bomb made everything fly back, but then it somewhat engulfed everything, pulling us towards it.

Me being the closet towards the door I got pulled out towards the flaming tunnel. I manage to grab on to the last bus seat bar. "I thought this was suppose to be the safety door." I managed to shout over the roar of the tires. Leif and jake helped me back in, I could feel myself shaking as I shoke my head trying to calm down.

"You okay?" Matt asked.

"Yeah...man what a adreilen rush." I chuckled.
