Flowers. My first try at photography.

So, I've only just started this whole photography lark. Just woke up one morning and decided to go to the park and take some pictures. xD Here's my favorite...

The brightness on this is a bit too...bright. Try darkening it to make the colors a bit more vivid.

I like the flower, but the lighting is a little off. Try the same picute but with two different types of lighting. Also another style like black and white would work. Some of the adjustments can be made on photo shop. The way the flower is positioned is beautiful. Keep up the good work!

I agree, if you darken the colors it would make things more vivid and no so in-your-face-blindingly bright.
I like how you focused in on one flower though, instead of just taking a picture of a patch of them. Some of the bits of the picture are a bit blurry, but I think that's just my computer. But if not, then all you need to do is just get it a bit more focused. Nice angle by the way.

Pretty, pretty flowers!

So, first, I'm going to broken-record/echo everyone else and say that this photo is bright. An easy remedy for this is Gamma Correcting, taking it down a few points on the gamma scale and adding a hint of contrast to make the flowers stand out from all the green.

The focus is decent, but we've got two big, gorgeous flowers like, smack in the middle and our eyes are like, "Look at this one," and then "No look at this one, no that one, argh! Too much pretty".

So, if you have like, an image editing program you can always take the gamma down a few points and then blur out everything but the main focal point to that our eyes know what to look for. A light blur would work nicely, not too high where we can't make out what's in the rest of the photo.

If you don't have one on your computer you can try piknik or photobucket. Both work well.

Hi! My name is Tex and I'll be your reviewer this evening. Let's get down to business:

Lighting: Unlike everyone else, I actually liked the ammount of lighting. It seemed to work with this picture, making it look like it was glowing (just a little bit).

Background: This would've been better if you could've made the background black and white. It looks like it rained recently.

Noise: Way. Too. Much. This isn't your fault, it's the camera's. If you really had fun with photography, I'd suggest looking into getting a better one.


One of my favorite photo-editing programs is paint.net. You might want to mess around with it. It's free and safe, trust me

THis is a trully great photo. It's not to bright or to dark. The close-up on it is perfect. Keep at it, and you'll be a professional in no time.
