A poem for Adnamarine's contest, short an sweet, enjoy! :)

I wish I could mend your heart and make everything ok.

I wish I could turn back the hands of time and make things right.

I wish I could bear your pain so you would no longer have to endure it.

I wish all my loved ones were ok, I wish life didn't have to be so hard.

I wish I could stay with you forever.

I wish age didn't have to haunt us and death knock with hollowed bones at our doorstep.

I wish I could save you, I wish I could be the hero we all desperately search for.

I just sit here and wish, I lay in bed at night when sleep won't come to my exhausted mind and I wish...

I wish that wishes could come true...

Wow. I liked this a lot. I think in the first couple of lines you could use a more powerful beginning. But that's just me. Otherwise, I really did like this. To me it seemed very unique, except for the sleeping in the bed thing. But it was still great. YOu words flowed together well. My favorite line was the 6th one. So, keep writing.

*Peacee*

No where to run...baby let's hide. Take her in your arms on a chilling winter's night. Watch the stars twinkle and glisten. Know that you've found the one person that will listen. ~*(ME)*~

I have lived through much, and now I think I have found what is needed for happiness. A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people to whom it is easy to do good... then rest, nature, books, music, love for one's neighbor - such is my idea of happiness.
