**Well, I feel somewhat awkward writing third person when no one else is, so I'm going to switch to first from here on in.**
Deacon
I helped Hinata out of the room and down to the hospital lobby with the others, keeping one of her arms over my shoulder at all times. I felt a bit sore that she'd lied to me about her condition, but then, I probably would've done the same. She obviously didn't want any of us concerning ourselves about her physical condition as she'd see it as a sign of weakness. I could relate to that, and probably would've reacted the same way under the circumstances.
So I said nothing more. When we reached the lobby, Alucard began signing everyone out of the hospital, while I made my way to a separate desk. The person there noticed me straight away, "Ah, back to pick up the wooden swords, right?"
I shrugged, "Joke all you want, you're the one who was terrified of letting me take them inside this place. Now can I just have them back so I can go?"
The aide nodded after a while, apparently a little disappointed that I wasn't rising to the bait. Not like there was any need to get into a fight with him. When it came down to it, I wanted to leave the city as soon as possible, escape from all the pollutants in the air. He, on the other hand, would probably end up in this same hospital with some kind of respiratory illness.
I shook the thoughts away, concentrating more on what we had to deal with right now, walking back over to everyone, "We ready?"
"Yeah," said Alucard, "Let's go." I could see the tension in all the others as we left the hospital, no one wanted a repeat of the fight they'd all been in. After a short walk, Alucard glanced at his brother, "Do you smell it?" The other Dhampir nodded.
I had enough common sense to know straight away that this meant that there was a hunter nearby, and I half-unzipped my duffel bag. I tensed a lot more, ready to spring into the first fight that presented itself. Hinata gave me a weary look, as if reminding me that I had nothing beyond physical ability. Well, what did that matter. I'd still do my bit.
