OMG. So I was finishing this up on the computer, and it had taken me about 2+ hours to complete. I was just about to make the finishing touches when bam! GIMP decides to stop responding for some unfathomable reason.

And of course, the one time I don't save my work every two minutes, I have to start from the beginning (well, technically the outline - but that was it).

However, this time around I am much more satisfied; i.e., the hair and the background makes me happy. :D This program is a bunch of fun. I'm glad I'm getting the hang of it.
Still, the chunky outline bugs me. Ah, well. Future reference, no? ^___^

So let me know what ya think!

This is pretty good. There are only a few things to suggest ^_^

1. When outlining make sure the lines are not so thick (gives a sort of messy look) unless you are just doing the 'outer' lines that are like the lines around the picture. This out look better if you used a thinner line to outline facial details and the clothing.

2. You do have shading but not alot. Where is the light source? (I am guessing it is above her) There needs to be more shadings like around the nose, Under the lower lip and under the chin and the neck.

3. The hair color doesn't seem to fit the rest of the picture. Make it less POP and mix in, cause with the bold line it looks flat.

Other than those suggestions, this is a pretty good picture ^_^ Keep the good work up.

I really liked it, but at first I thought that the hood of the jacket was the hair.

Hello! Nice picture, just a few mistakes.

1. Color is wrong, m'dear. If she has black fingernails, should her clothes be more darker or blacker? Like more 'Emo' or 'Gothic.'

2. The outlining is too thick, leading to distractions. Try coloring over some of it.

3. Her hood is kind of awkward.

4. Nice angles and proportions.

Great job, I look foward to seeing more of your work.

Aunty Pop! How did I not know you posted this?

This is great, dear! Gimp is painfully hard to work with, so I avoid it altogether. :P When photoshop and I don't get along, I use photofiltre, lol.

Now! nitpicks!

• The finger that is resting on her hood looks blank! She has no fingernail or hand lines or anything at all.

• Her hood needs texturizing! If GIMP doesn't have textures and stuff, you should download photofiltre; it's free, and it works well, and has loads of textures and stuff. And you can import some as well, so if it doesn't have any good ones straightaway, I can send you some of the extra textures I bought. :P

But yeah, wrinkles and shading would be inplace on this, dearie.

And! Her tear is all shiny, like, "Ooh, Aaah" and stuff. :P

Pretty great effort, Pop. Wonderful job on this. ^_^ Keep it up!
