The line art.

The broad idea of the two is that they're souls have been connected as a way for them to stay together even when they're put into a deep sleep and stuck in a kind of dream world.

I still have to finish outlining the story, but her name is Renatta, but goes by Rita and in the dream world. The boys name is Thomas.

Wow! I'm the first one, eh'? Well, here goes it.

1.The best parts I'de have to say are the ears, I can NEVER get them right, (unless there on animals)
2.The Braid in the girl's hair was a very good one, I'de just say to let both of the peoples hair to flow a little more freely. (especially the boys)
3.The bottom persons lip is a little undefined on the top, it looks.... attached to the nose.
4.Another thing that was with the boy, his neck, you put some detail into the girl's, but none on the boy's?

Other than that, beautiful work of art. The story seems intresting too! Keep me posted!

I'd have to say that when you post this story, I'm going to read it. Not only is this quite well done, but it is also very creative and intriguing. :D

My favorite part is how simplistic and innocent it looks- the lines just flow and very much represent spirit-y type ideas. Which is why the only critique I can come up with today is to simplify and lighten the hair and eyebrows. This is just to match the rest of the composition, so that it all looks kind of see-through and veil-like. I'll leave the way you do that up to your artistic eye.

The only other thing I can think of is that Thomas' left arm looks a little straight and skimpy, depending on the character you may want to define a bit of muscle there. At any rate, that's all I can say about it. Good job and good luck!

These are both two very well done drawings. The girls face seems a little long but aside from that she's very well done. And the boy's hair is by far my favorite part. Its dark and its eyecatching.

But mostly, I think the way that you combined the two characters is just plain awesome. The line work is beautiful and well executed. Good Job.

This is really cool.

1. I really like your style. It's realistic-ish but not really. It is interesting.

2. I really like how they look, peaceful and relaxed. It is like they really are sleeping.

3. The only thing is that the girl's hair is a little bit stiff, but it isn't that big of a problem (Still looks AWSOME!)

Hello again, and thank you for the gaelic sites.

This is a great drawing and an interesting concept. thank you for sharing!

I like your work here, its very... symetrical? Your stryle reminds me of soemthing, but I can't think what. My issue is with the hand (his hand, right?) It's a little small, and the drawing is weakest here. I can't draw hands at all, but maybe if you drew this from life, the joints would be better defined.

Like the others, I would like to see more movement in the hair. Other than that, excellent work.

OMG! MY name is Rita! I don't really look like your character, though. :)

Anyway, what a beautiful drawing. It reminds me of the astrology sign Pisces. Now I'm thoroughly intrigued to read the story that goes with it. I'm not much of an art critic (sorry!) but I'd love to read the story.

Ahh, I feel bad for not having checked this in a while...
Thank you all so much for the kind reviews! =]
and I kinda suck at hands...so I have to keep working at them.

I think I'll try and get more of the story done so I can post it for you guys.

Oh wow, this is really neat!
I love how they were drawn, and so neat and clean as well.
I adore Rita's eyes, for some odd reason I keep looking at them, eevn though their shut! Lol. And the curl above her ear is cute too. =)

I think Thomas's hair falls on his head nicely too..

This reminds me of the animation style back when Disney's movies didn't revolve around fart jokes and Miley Cyrus. :D
Hey, what's this for?

Hiya!

Shading: I find there could be a bit more shading around the face and the chin/neck aria. Right now it looks like the light is coming from nowhere in perticular, when it should really come from one source. ^_^

The guy: I find he looks a bit strange with his mouth open like that. It's open a bit too wide for sleep, in my opinion. Close it a little so it looks like his sleep is more peaceful.

I also find his neck could use a bit more definition. The woman's neck has it, but his doesn't. Add that in please. :)

The girl: Her lips are almost too tight for sleep. I'd add in a slightly softer parting to make her look a little less tense.

Skin: The reason I was talking so much about making them look less tense is because their skin is very smooth. If you want to show tension, add in some creases around the corners of their mouth, eyebrows and forehead.

Overall: I found the lighting here to be a bit flat. The rest, however, was very well done. Nice work.

Questions? PM me.

Hey, some of you said you wanted to read the story if I posted...so here's a link to it.

Bear in mind when reading it that it's the first part of the first chapter, and that I'm completely burned out on that part of it (I've read through it and re-worked it way too many times.)
tell me what you think if you feel like reading it. =]

The picture is pretty but it is a little confusing unless you read the comments above. Try shadowing the other person into the first person. It is important to remember different views someone might have of what two souls combining looks like. I love the detail you put into the first person. The hair is hard to do.
